I need a round table
I wish people would stop categorizing things as 'this thing of our dreams'. Everybody uses this phrase these days, and it's getting really annoying. This is obviously a room that is done as you can afford now, and is very nice, but is hardly the room of your dreams. Again, it's a very nice space, and I really like your apartment, but your dreams are probably much bigger than this.
In the context of 2024 I disagree with you! I used to dream of a mansion when I was a child, but then I realized a 1 bedroom apartment costs 450k Euros. Then I adjusted my dreams, as I assume everyone else did.
Thanks for bringing this up. That’s actually an interesting comment to consider. In all honesty, realising this apartment truly is everything I have dreamt of for so long! Your comment is a good reminder that dreams are relative, to those of others and those of yourself in different phases of life. In this process of moving abroad, into our first apartment and recently graduating, we have been feeling so lucky and in awe with how we first of all managed to get this apartment, and are now making it into a very cozy home. For here and now, I think these dreams are very big! To have our own place that feels like us is such a privilege and has been hard work. And maybe there will be new dreams for me too! But those I will leave up for future me 🤗😇

This is exactly how I feel about dreaming about my dream life/apartment/job etc. In our current life phase, this is everything I could have ever hoped to realise! And I think this is a very healthy way of dreaming that helps feeling happy with all that we have in the here and now 💖
