    The types of food suggested to avoid when seeking optimal health are foods that have high levels of oxalates in them. Lunch meats are one of those oxalate rich foods.
    According to the Mayo Clinic, eating large amounts of foods that are high in oxalates can raise your risk of hyperoxaluria or kidney stones.
