Many Americans are choosing to move to Ecuador (and in general out of the US). This is a reflection of the growing disillusionment with the American Dream. A move of this magnitude is changing things in Ecuador as it has in places like Bali, Costa Rica, Medellin, etc. It's good in some ways, like bringing new ideas and capital, but it's also causing problems. Many see it as a form of neo-colonialism. How will this affect Ecuador's own culture and people???
