Not a fan of neither Tyson and Mayweather, but if these two ever fought each other in their prime, and of course in a catchweight like MW, i personally think Mayweather would win. Here's why, we all know Tyson loves going for the kill once the fight start, but against a fighter with world class defense and counter punching skills like Floyd, i don't think not even Tyson's power would matter a lot in this situation, we all know how poorly Tyson do against technical fighters. Tyson would throw a lot of hooks, some of them would land but miss majority of them and Mayweather on the other hand as a smart fighter would just move around a lot and let Tyson drain his stamina out throughout the fight. Not saying Tyson won't stand a chance, just think Mayweather's legendary defense and boxing strategy skills will make him victorious. Mayweather would outbox, outsmart, and outlast Tyson.

Mike Tyson is one of the five best heavy weight boxers of all time. Personally, in his prime, I feel he was the best, but that is open to debate.
Mayweather is also a phenominal fighter. His speed is almost unbelievable, his technique crisp and sharp, and his ability to game the scoring system is second to none.
That being said, Mayweather in his prime couldn't beat Tyson *now*. Out of shape, untrained, overweight, vegan Mike Tyson would end Mayweather in the first round. If Mayweather ran like a terrified child he MIGHT, if Tyson was feeling *generous*, make it to the second round.
Mayweather does not have the power to phase Tyson. On the other hand, Tyson could put Mayweather down for a ten count with a well placed jab.
Were they both in their primes, the fight would be over in 12-25 seconds. Just enough time for Tyson to use his scarily comparable speed (given their weight difference) to put Mayweather towards the ropes and deliver one punch that would power through his guard and give him the sort of concussion that would put him out of action for a year or more.
If they fought now, Tyson would just embrace his lack of training, stamina and preparation, take Mayweather's piddly punches until he saw an opportunity, and end the fight in one flurry. The only difference between Tyson in his prime and Tyson now is that the older, out of shape Tyson of today might need one punch to break Mayweather's guard before he caved in his face with a second and third shot.
Mayweather is, currently, the best pound for pound boxer in the world, but I don't think you realize what that title means, Best pound for pound boxer in the world does not make him the best boxer in the world. Even a mediocre heavy-weight would absolutely decimate Mayweather in the ring.
Any ranked heavy weight boxer could defeat Mayweather within two rounds, and I'm being generous here.
