I love how the VA for Mr. Boss completely dropped the voice to say “I really hurt my finger doing that paperclip bit”.
That was genuinely a very funny moment
The man who plays him has a UA-cam channel called Sick Animations where he makes all kinds of wild videos
" That's a tiny version of me. "
It's a perfect copy of tiny Boss.
was he shrunk down after he was perfectly copied?
Would you torture his Perfect Copy or not?
I was looking forward to this episode just based on the trailer shots, but it managed to exceed my expectations! I absolutely loved this episode!
Me too! It just really worked for me
The Landlord is my new favourite character.
He is basically how I imagine the Tleilaxu.
Seemingly insane, but apparently a genius.
This is the ultimate "normal plot escalates to insanity" episode. You can tell that's everything they were going for here and I love it.
And Allan just feeling so inconvenienced and annoyed 😂
@@MikeyVenture He seems to be the one who can handle random stuff going on the worst (along with Charlie maybe) which also helped the episode a lot.
Is it just me or did everyone Allan encountered on his adventure made him seem normal in comparison? Wow, who would have imagined?
The bosses gift is 100% worth dying over
Allen is funny without trying to be 😂😂😂
I didn’t realize it until this episode that I laugh at a lot of the things Allan says 😂
He is definitely my favorite character
His voice is peak
"Oh Allen last night was AMAZING."
"....okay."
And then he just fcking leaves lmfao
Shortly after season 1 aired, during a comic con panel fans were asking for more Allan because like you said. We only get small bits with him. So it's awesome that they listened and gave us an Allan focused episode.
He overall just has a lot more to do this season. He played a major role in the first episode of season 2, got a fair amount of screen time in the second episode, and was the star of his own episode in episode 3. And from the looks of it, episode 4 is gonna be focused on the entire Smiling Friends staff so Allan is likely to have another major role. It seems like he and Glep swapped relevance, Glep gets noticably less screen time this season whereas last season he was arguably the most prevalent Smiling Friend member besides Pim and Charlie even having side plots dedicated to him and him alone.
I was dying last night at this episode, I think my neighbors heard me
I also loved the detail right at the beginning before Charlie and Pim leave the room, Charlie gives Pim a little smooch on the top of his head. SUPER CUTE little detail (especially since Pim's usually the one who kisses everything) and it's so fast and easy to miss if you're not paying attention. That's part of what I love about smiling friends in general, there's ALWAYS something going on in the background that you'll catch later on re-watches if you missed it the first time. Gold-tier adult swim in my opinion right up there with the other greats
I noticed that when I popped the video in editing! I love little details like that when you catch it on repeat viewings
This show is insane and we love it
I was sure that bigfoot would make Alan choose between red pill or blue pill...
Bigfoot reaches into the hole, pulls out a snake and smashes it's head against a nearby rock.
@@Khornecussion "You want? You want snake?"
Why is he from Cameroon or something?
4:05 No, he's flying a non-commercial aircraft across the border. Also, I feel like Hell would be a lot worse than before now that it's on fire again.
I wonder how a helicopter can fly all the way from PA to Tijuana
Maybe the landlord should have done a little peanut jig…
This was their best episode period.
Not even close. Just my very humble opinion.
@@temphill4527 That opinion isnt that humble 🤣
@conq1273 I thought so. But to be fair, I've watched it again, and it grew on me. I still don't think it's the best, but it's much better than I thought originally.
@@temphill4527 the pacing in season 2 has been terrible so far except for the gwimbly episode
@kof867 The second episode has grown on me also. But yeah, the pacing just kinda throws it off. Prob the worst episode of the show. The last episode has grown on me, though.
RIP DJ Spit
He's probably entertaining the tech store guy down in Hell
Maybe siri took care of it for him and he got to the hospital in time
@@nunwithpipecleaner I hope so. But since he's a paid actor, I'm sure that stab through the stomach is fake.
I wanna see his rap career blossom.
It's funny imagining that this happens to Alan daily
The fact this was aired the same day as the Iranian president was killed in a helicopter crash is a fun coincidence
Man this episode was so fast paced it genuinely felt like 3 or 4 minutes had passed.
Right?! I was thinking the same thing when I finished my recording. It flew by
@@MikeyVenture Honestly I'm impressed. It seems like they went out of their way to make the most ridiculously eventful episode over.
Alan's dry and tired tone towards literally everything just makes this episode better
6:19 to be fair, all he asked is to get paper clips, so the bar qas set pretty low
Oh yeah for sure
I appreciate that ransom note cause now we can finally put to rest whether it was "Meat Blvd" or "Meep Blvd". (I've seen conflicting captions about this.)
in season 1 when Pim goes there there’s a sign that says Meep Blvd
Man this episode was a TRIP!!
😂😂😂
Paper clips seem to always lead to a rough time for Allen, from Bliblies to skellies
Funny you say Salad Fingers because Shrimp was voiced by the guy
ive been laughing at "2 armed piece of shit" and "burnout revenge for the pee-esh-touuu" all week 😂
We've seen hell, but not after Charlie gets Satan motivated to torture people again lol I'd bet it's not as chill anymore
This episode was so frickin' hilarious! The Landlord is my new favorite character! 🤣
Salad fingers was from newgrounds by david firth whos now a youtuber who did voices and scenes for this show. Zach hadel and Michael cusack run the show also the voices of pim and charle and others. Who got their starts on newgrounds then zach :charlie: has been apart oneyplays for forever
Wait... DAVID DID VC WORK here?
To be fair, Smiling Friends seems to collaborate with NG artists. Hope Egoraptor or Harry Patridge joined in.
@@conq1273harry partridge did the animation for mip and david firth voiced shrimp
@@libra_v3 huh....
This episode is how I learned about Burnout Revenge
You know, I’m not convinced DJ Spit actually is dead. Last we see him he was calling for help. I’m convinced we’ll see him next season at some point with a giant bandage across his chest.
Very good point. If you don’t see the body, then there always a chance
If this is what we can expect from the newer seasons of smiling friends I am going to fall in love with this show.
I can’t believe you blew it so early in the episode, “A Allan Adventure” being grammatically incorrect is the joke.
Well no shit. It can still bother me though 😂
Great reaction!
truly a Great episode
Hey Mikey, don’t know if you take requests but I’d love a reaction series to invincible
I didn’t really see what was in the background lol
Yeah, burnout revenge is a great game. ❤
Probably one of the worst games literally ever made, big rigs over the road racing was even better than that piece of crap.
@@JamesJames-li2wv Dude, what are you talking about? That game is loved by so many! 😂🙏🏻 Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge are easily the best games in the entire series! Everyone I know who loves racing games gives that game tremendous praise! Even Mikey agreed and said it was awesome in the video! 😅 So, what are you smoking, lol, because that is one of the best arcade racing games of all time, homie! ❤️ Even the creators are Smiling Friends obviously like that game too.
Replace burnout with smash bros. melee, and would definitely hang out with Mr. Landlord.
Awesome ❤
Burn out revenge is real? Shit I thought they made it up.
It is! And it’s a great series
I don't get what everyone is seeing in this episode. some funny gags but the writing is poor with pacing that makes it feel rushed, it seems they've jumped the shark and have gotten rid of the ordinary tone that made the first seasons so charming. feels like they're trying up up the ante of every scene which is resulting in excessive reliance of gags and forced predictable jokes.
don't get me wrong i love this show and i think the guys are geniuses. However, there feels to be a very obvious shift in tone in the new season (excluding the Gwimbly episode which was great!)
I honestly thought the pacing worked in this particular episode’s favor. I enjoyed the frantic nature of it for it all to come down to him just sitting down and playing Burnout. It felt a lot like to me to some classic spy films
there's still ordinary stuff like allan's morning routine, his trip before the helicopter and the ending, and I think this season is only a little more over the top than season 1
You talk through all the gags
How am I suppose to know when there’s a gag when I haven’t seen it? It’s just how it is. This isn’t a normal way to watch a show
Chill out
And he didn't even miss the jokes in this ep
