People have their favorite derms and that's understandable but I'll see comments from folks if another derm comes up in conversation that disregard the other as not being good for whatever reasons (from looks to opinions). Doctors are human so it shouldn't surprise people that they interpret studies differently and don't all draw the same conclusion. As for Idriss and her HA dislike, Dr Davin Lim and esty Go See Christy were talking about possible issues with it about two years before her video even landed. And then you have Dr. Sugai who loves a HA serum. We won't even discuss the whole bakuchiol as natural retinol, yes or no? or the vit c derivatives and the derms who like them or some of them or only one of them (THD) or the ones who are like, without more research, clinical trials and peer reviewed studies it's only ascorbic acid that counts (see same argument re: retinoic acid, retinal, retinol, adapalene vs retinyl esters and then HPR in it's own little bubble).
Yuuup. It’s absolutely okay to have an opinion resonate with us on a personal level. But I dislike the arguing about who is objectively “better” as a derm, bah! Instead, I think it’s far more useful to recognize that each derm (just like each person) has certain expertise and experience ☺️

If you live in a climate with moderate to high humidity and your home is moderately humid, at least 45%, then there's nothing inherently bad about hyaluronic acid. However, if you live somewhere like Denver for example or in a typical New York City overheated apartment in the winter, the humidity is very low. The humidity in my apartment in NYC in the winter ranges anywhere between 0 to 10% on a good day. Day after day for months in the winter. Hyaluronic acid is touted for bringing moisture from the air into your skin. What they don't tell you is that if there is almost no moisture in the air or an insufficient amount of moisture in the air, the hyaluronic acid sucks the moisture OUT of your skin. This is why she recommends avoiding products with hyaluronic acid and why I and others who understand this refuse to use anything with hyaluronic acid in it.

Glow Recipe, Farmacy and LRP are the only two western brands I use sometimes so have not tried any of these, but do love Kayali perfumes. I have the pistachio one which is ok, but the new vanilla one sounds much nicer. I would love to try Dr Idriss's brand but she doesn't ship to the UK :( Same with the other derm brands like Remedy, prequel etc.. It is just Dr Vanita Rattans brand we have here, which I quite like in terms of the derm influencer brands. We can't return products at all in the UK, only things like clothes but makeup and all cosmetics are non-returnable, even if unopened
See that makes me extra frustrated to hear, as I very genuinely get the feel that customers are the ones deciding whether some products are good or not. Heck, the youthforia founder even SAID THIS - “we released the first batch of shades to see if people even liked the formula”. So it feels that some brands have the idea that there will be returns in mind!? If so, that’s a very rude approach for customers in Europe (and frankly it seems like most of the world? Only the U.S. has these very lenient return policies, it seems!)

I used to live in Japan and you can't return stuff there either, even clothes are hard to return as they only give you a week or two, and some shops don't accept returns at all. But cosmetics as a whole are a big no. I think there is the issue of people trying to return fake products (there are a lot of fakes around europe) etc..
I bit the bullet and bought the Beautybio peptide cream too (half off !!!), and so far I like it. Very dry skin friendly !!! Nice texture and really moisturizing. Thank you for posting it on Insta ❤ I also bought the Tir Tir eye serum and now I’m not sure, how to feel about it…🧐

Regarding fragrance, have you tried Pirette edp or oil? It's the most gorgeous beachy coconut scent I've found. I wear it every day because I can't tear myself away from it. For me, it leans towards freshly cracked coconut flesh as opposed to super sweet baked goods. I just ordered the Dr. Idriss serum from Sephora a couple days ago to get that points bonus, so glad you to hear you're enjoying it! Since we both have inflammatory skin conditions I suspect it will probably work well for me too.
Whoa thank you for the rec, that really does sound amazing! I am floored by the Dr. Idriss. It’s even a generous amount of product (1.35 fl oz vs the standard 1 fl oz!) tbh the only negative is the smell, but I’ve come to expect that to some extent in these truly fragrance-free products lol

When I first tried Grande Pout - I thought there was something wrong with the one I purchased (the grit) - a little off putting for me. The creator of a new item I am trying (would love your opinion and others on here if tried) called Adipeau is also someone who doesn't seem to care for the ingredient. Speaking of eye rollers with eye cream; although a little pricey but has good sales, I love the Dr. Brandt Fatigue fighting eye gel. It has a wonderful tip in my opinion!

The trick with sunscreen is always making sure it is applied without interference (so not over a wet layer) and has time to set as well. But it can certainly be sandwiched in between layers, like skincare and makeup! So with a product like the DM, I wait until the sunscreen has set (depends on the sunscreen) and then apply the DM 😊
How do you layer the depuffer? I’ve been using it for over a month now and it’s quite sticky and takes a long time to absorb 😕 I saw that Dr. Idriss herself would even wash it off in her videos 🤷🏻♀️
It does take a while to adsorb! However, I’m finding I can layer moisturizer on top of it without issues. It helps to apply a thin layer I think? I over applied at first as it’s hard not to squeeze it while rolling!

Long story short , Charlotte Tilbury sued her ass from here to eternity due to her stupid pillow talklip sticks. I have been trying to get that DM primer balm sense the Sephora sale and it's sold out never came back so went to her site sold out checked again and again still sold out , I was hoping to get it in her sale this past weekend. So weird it's just not being restocked . * I'm definitely getting tired of bad packaging, who wants to pay for something and it spill leak or not even come out the component. I have been trying to get that DM primer balm sense the Sephora sale and it's sold out never came back so went to her site sold out checked again and again still sold out , I was hoping to get it in her sale this past weekend. So weird it's just not being restocked .

My newest skincare I bought was the Lisa Eldridge face wash balm , the Kate Summerville peptide roller ball serum thing , Kaine Kombu toner, Lisa Eldridge face mist and a few others I can't remember right this min . Did u see the new inn beauty project serum it actually looks really good. Haven't had much luck with them but this one looks nice.

I have only used it a few times so I'll have to update on long term thoughts lol 😂 I was just so intrigued because the ingredients list looked really nice then the added roller thing but idk how much I love that part , seems like u never really get the right amount on your face and always have to use it hands anyway to get it even and spread but it feels good lol
I don't like the Good Light lip milk because of how it applies. I don't like the applicator shape and size and it tickles to apply (it feel so weird!). I do like the taste though.
