the fact that Squishy can just hop on a 1s game after a long time and off the bat getting one of the best 1v1 players in NA, and winning, just using his general yet sharp knowledge of the game... it just amazes me, he's been doing that since 2018 too, its crazy how much being smart helps you keep up with the highest level players even if youre not consistent in the particular gamemode

Since he's left NRG he's been playing way more and in turn getting way better. I feel like since he has a new purpose it's deepened his motivation to play.
Thing is it hadn't been nearly as long of a time as he claimed, lol. He's posted multiple 1v1 vids in the last few months and one 12 days before this vid, and I'm sure he's played 1s recently outside of recording as well. Pretty weird that he claimed he hadn't played in 5 months tbh

My favorite example of this is Beastmode during the recent gamers 8 crew battle tournament. He’s not at all known for 1s, but he’s an insane all rounded player, which allowed him to stand toe to toe and even beat some of the top 1s players like Joreuz, trk, and rw9

I think Beastmode at Gamers8 proved your point after V1 put him in over Daniel and he went head to head with Rw9 potentially the best 1s player and kept it insanely close despite not being a ones player
Earlier this year I think aj broke the record for most goals in a rlcs major and his team didn't even make the finals. That shows the kind of firepower squishy was going up against. Great games as always

Do you think you should queue 1v1s in EU as well? I know the ping disadvantage would be tough but you might get more games against "smarter" opponents rather than the NA try to muscle everything in with mechanics
You act like the continent determines all of their playstyles...each opponent is different. There are EU players that muscle with mechanics and NA players that are what you call "smarter"

They always saying that takes forever and as a Plat I have no idea how many time could be
just depends on the time you queue and how many people are on, but the more higher up it can take like an hour to find a match
