Just wow! What a beautiful journey, beautifully spoken. Thank you so much for taking us with you to explore one of our islands. I'll be featuring it on my Puerto Rico Guide. Did you dive the wall in Guanica? Keep sharing and exploring. Blessings.
Born and raised in PR we camped and dove Mona in my young twenties. Some of my fondest memories. I want to go back now with my teenage kids and share the same experience with them.
Camping and diving Mona Island sounds like an amazing experience. Hopefully you can get back soon and share the experience. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@watercrow9766 So glad you're enjoying the videos and that they are helping you stay warm. What an amazing trip it was. I actually just ordered a Santi drysuit, so maybe we can dive devil's lake sometime with you guys.
Sounds cold where you are! We just bought a dry suit and full wet suits to dive in colder water sometime soon - CA is on our list. Hope you can make it to the Caribbean and get in the warm water!
@@TritonsRealm I dive Monterey all the time so if you make it out here let me know and I’ll show you some great shore dive. I use a 7mm semi-dry, but I’ll be investing in a dry suit thus spring. 7 mm wetsuit works too, as the water is around 54 F all year long. Lots of great critters, including friendly seals and otters and on night dives, octopus. Be prepared, 15 ft is considered great visibility here. 😂
Hi @triton's Realm, i will be travelling to PR next month. well, scuba diving is a bucket list for me.. have never done it before and i cant swim. do u think i stand a chance ?
Absolutely, in fact, there is a great way to try scuba diving in Puerto Rico. Located just outside old San Juan is the Escambron Marine Park, an excellent, shallow, sheltered dive site with sea turtles and lots of exciting things to discover. There is a dive shop located at the marine park called Scuba Dogs, and they can take you out on what's called a Discover Dive. You'll spend about 3 hours with them, go over the basics of scuba diving, work on a few in-water skills, then explore the marine park with an instructor in a very controlled and safe environment. Here are a few links for more information: Video Link to the Marine Park: ua-cam.com/video/SRZnhEGtbFc/v-deo.html Scuba Dogs scubadogs.net/ If you call, ask for Alberto, he's the owner, a friend, and a great dive instructor, but if he's unavailable, I'm sure anyone at the shop can assist you. Wishing you the best, and sorry for the late reply. We had to take a little break from our channel. Jeff
Wow! Jeff another exceptional Video! The narration is exquisite you know the names of all the fish ! Like I said before you should be on discovery or history channels I was in the Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale years ago saw turtles took pictures of fish don't know any of the names probable swam right by stuff that would have caught your eye Have a good day !
We appreciate your comments - thank you for the feedback! The diversity of sea life is amazing and we enjoy learning about the species we see. If there's a fish or sea creature we don't recognize we check our field quides so we know for the next time. We hope our viewers learn as well.
Our primary camera is a Panasonic GH5s with 2 Keldan 8x lights. We also use a couple GoPros to get different angles. Great question. Thanks for watching.
By the way, we don't see you using the OTS full face mask anymore. Why so? I really liked when you were talking underwater and narrating on the spot. ;)
Thanks for much! We do enjoy narrating our dives underwater with the OTS gear but found that at depths greater than 18m (60 feet) we used our gas quickly. For safety reasons we will use the full face mask on shallower dives. We have also found that traveling with the underwater communications system, along with all of our other gear, can be a bit of a challenge. We're planning on some dives later in the month that we'll narrate underwater - stay tuned!
The second dive site is pronounced "cue"-de-sac (and not "Call-de-sac" hehe). You don't pronounce the L in French in the word "cul". This means Dead End ;) Amazing dive site again! Thanks for sharing! :D
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Xander Charlie I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
