However, we may never know. Sometimes it's best to save those kinds of thoughts for another time and place.
Life itself is strange. Events unfold in ways that we can't fully comprehend. Believe me, I know what your saying to be something that does happen. We live in a wicked world. But also keep in mind that while your intentions may be to question the nature of how the veil of this world is placed, and to shine some light on it, you have to be wise in your approach. That comes with life experience.
Regardless of what any of us think, it was Lance's time to go. Whether natural or not. He was a phenomenal actor, and outside of entertainment he left a lasting impression on many whom admired and loved him.
We all have our own way of honoring those who've touched our hearts. This may have been your way. But be mindful of how you present your thoughts during times like this. I say all that with love. And while I just write a book that may seem like a contradiction to what I'll say next, personally I appreciate those who ask questions and aren't afraid to state their thoughts on matters like this.
All I know is many grieve for such a gifted soul. And I'm thankful to see the good in humanity come out in such a cold world. Be well.

Spent an hour in the tower sitting. Random people hopped on chat to talk, had a guy start to cry but silence. We had an actual dev or mod (not sure exactly which) but they were floating for a bit above us and promptly disappeared so my guess they took our pic or something. Still it sucks because he played with us he was a guardian not just a voice in game. He ran nightfalls, strikes, crucibles, gambit, did pinnacles, powergears, red boarders. I hope Bungie does his name right give him a proper ending and a grand statue by his spot. Tbh I’d rather interact with that for vanguard rewards then have him be replace because he can’t be replaced.

Alot of folks really don't understand the Destiny community.
Sure there are some bad apples but in addition to the great person Lance was, I remember other acts of kindness as well. I think another guardian was dying of cancer and had never been to the Lighthouse back in the D1 days. A higher level team of guardians banded together, looked out for him during the Trials of Osiris matches and got him there...not long before he ended up passing.
That kindness. That compassion. That comradery is what it means to be a real guardian
I believe that the destiny community loved lance more than all the communities that loved him too combined.

Was also a situation where a guy had cancer and his love for destiny helped his memory but due to the sickness, it was difficult for him to play sometimes. Well his wife made a post to a Reddit page I’m fairly sure and people in the community reached out and helped him through raids and strikes. He ended up beating the sickness and probably still plays to this day, hopefully! Cheers.

This really reminds of when the voiceacter for the soldier in the game team fortress 2 passed away. Everybody did saluting taunts In front of the many memorials that were placed in different maps at the month of may, since the va's name was Rick May. It warms my heart to see so many people come together to pay respect to the fallen in Destiny 2 too. I am happy that there are so many passionate and caring people in so many gaming communities. May Lance Reddick rest in peace.
Lance had one of the warmest and kindest sounding voices I've ever heard. He was my most interacted with character over the two games and a lot of that probably comes down to how much I liked his acting and respected him as a man... Rest in Peace, sir.

I didn't know that. That's hilarious as fuck. I'm a warlock main myself and now I will gleefully assist and slaughter knowing the commander approves.
This truly made me cry. We may rage at each other all the time, say hateful stuff, but when it matters, when we all same the same pain for a loss like this, we can all come together as a peaceful community, and honor what has be lost.

I am literally holding tears, Lance made a huge impact in my life playing Horizon Zero Dawn and tbh I enjoyed his Wesker character interpretation in Resident Evil Netflix adaptation, I am so happy to find out through you MadMorph that he was a gamer just like us, and spent his last day surrounded by a gamer community, may everyone going through anything in life find a friend in any community and please if you guys ever need a friend, feel free to reach out! RIP Lance you will always be kindly remembered!

I think a big part of why those of us in the Destiny community love and honor Lance Reddick so much is knowing that he wasn't just a member of the cast, but also a member of the community itself. He stood with us, both as our Vanguard Commander, and as a fellow Guardian.

yeah, remember finding out right before me and a raid team went to do a raid, all hopped on our titans and stood by him for a solid half hour. Voiced Zavala since Destiny 1 came out in 2014.

Lance Reddick has and will always be loved by the Destiny community. I just hope he knew how much he was appreciated by us. The first thing I, and many others did the day he passed, was to go see our commander. Rip Lance.
Note,that us,Gamers,will unite and stand along each other. No matter how toxic we get at various occasions. When we mourn a game or a well-honored/respected member of said community....when one of our fellow friend needs help...when some of us are going through hard times...we all stand alongside our friends.
I haven't played Destiny 2,even though i know Zavala as a character and Reddick as an actor and i have to say that we all will miss him,but we honor the fallen and keep going.
Much respect to you lot,fellow gamers.
From the beginning of destiny 1 to his last time in destiny 2, the titan vagaurd stood with us, helped us, pushed us forward, and will continue to do so well beyond this time we had with him. As a original player, a fan of the game from start to finish, and one of the first people to do all the raids in d1, I can say the community will miss this absolute legend who came to us in our darkest times, and voiced acted a character we have loved for nearly a decade.
I'm no fan of titans due to the blatant favoritism they recieve from the dev team, but Zavala - Lance Reddick, that man holds a special place in my heart. Ive met some of my best friends, made some close relationships, and developed bonds stronger than the light or darkness itself, and without this man, I can safely say a piece of the game will always feel like its missing, but remember guardians, we stand together!

This reminds me of the time a player in a game I used to play called Dark Orbit had passed away on the server US3. His name was papa bear and he was a very popular player among the server, when he passed the entire server agreed to not fight and fly around every map in honor of him. Truly a beautiful gamer moment.

When I first played Destiny 2 I remembered meeting Zavala and getting the feeling by his voice that oh shit this guy is in charge and stuff. But I never really understood the voice behind the character until I watched john wick and realized that this man was awesome and bad ass. I just want to say to not take life for granted and to live life to the fullest we need to honor Lance Reddick and his name we need to honor Zavala so Long Live Lance Reddick and Long Live Zavala. On behalf of every destiny 2 player/fan and john wick fan I would like to say that we love you Lance Reddick you where a good man, a friend to millions, and a part of a family you are always in our hearts and will always be remembered as the hero in destiny 2 we hope that they will not kill of your character in the game. I just learned of his death and it hit me different. I’ve never met him but man it hurt I lost a friend it feels.
People do this across all video games. I have seen many of these, rip lance. It is really nice to hold a tribute.

Guardians may have a lot of internal struggles but when we need to come together for something, we will. We always do.
The more frustrating thing is that we dont know what was his cause of death.

But no normal 60 year old dies of "natural causes".
That shyt is shady. Honestly I don't believe in "natural causes" when it comes to the industry, but regardless, I pray he gets peace and justice in spirit.

I remember back in the day when Game Of War first came out it was a whole community. We did this whenever one of the players passed away. We would transport our city and just form a giant hive for whoever was having this type of situation happen be it death or cancer. No one attacked each other out of respect for the person we were there to support. It was a sight to see all these cities from different lands form a giant hive to show some love in a game dedicated to war and destruction.
Miss those days and RIParadise to a legend.

Wait what!? He died!? I didn't know about this til now!
Same thing happened with us TF2 players when Rick May died. Every single match you got in, you could see people with their names changed to "RIP Rick May". People micspamming Rocket Jump Waltz. Going all Soldiers and saluting the man who gave us the voice of a character we've treasured for years upon years. When a voice has an impact on you as a gamer, the voice actor will stay in your heart forever, even after they pass. Rest in peace Lance. I may not play your game anymore, but the impact you left on others is enough to hit me as well.
For me was:
-The VA of Exellen Browning in SRW.
-The voice of Nishinomiya Anna (who also happen to be the voice of Layla in Tales of Zestiria who was her last work as VA before passing)
-Jesus Barreto on LAT dubs, because he was always Pegasus Seiya.
-Rick May of course. Soldier won't be the same after him.
For me the worse case was:
-Keiji Fujiwara who was working on some proyects before he sudden death.
-Unshou Ishizuka (Old Joseph Joestar) who was also working on a lot of proyect included SRW T.
Rest in peace Lance I didn't know you before John Wick, but you are an amazing actor you will be missed by many.

I’m playing Horizon Forbidden West and every time I see him I missed him so much. Yesterday I was in cinema and watched John Wick 4… Guys, I’m not even from US, but I remember many of his roles since Fringe and Spartacus. I miss him so much.
The way how he acted sylens so mysteriously. I don't know how anyone can replace him. 😭

Huge RIP to Reddick. I watched the last(?) movie he worked on just yesterday and wnjoyed it greatly.
Gamers from MMOs have held several vigils before such as when the author of Berserk passed away. Dark Knights littered the streets of Ul'dah in Final Fantasy XIV with camp fires in front of them.
MMO's with a strong community capable of sympathising in this way are beautiful in so many ways.
RIP. I have always loved his acting. The john wick series and many others. He will be missed. RIP.
