A S No. I lived in Dorchester for years and locals call it "Dot" for short, but actually pronounce it as it is spelled, unlike Worchester. I know, it makes no sense. I never asked. The locals were psychotic maniacs. The bar scene in Gone, Baby Gone? That is Dorchester to the letter.
