Women are prejudiced,marginalized and treated like second citizens of the country and are the most neglected and harassed subjects of the state...A nation cannot progress until and unless Women are given equal rights and status in society...Gandhiji rightly said that Progress of a nation is judged by way Women are treated in that society ...Infact it's getting worst by the day in terms of political representation, prejudices in the society, gender disparity, crime against women and neglect of women's rights... We couldn't achieve the minimum target of 33% representation of women in parliament... We now need to act and act now otherwise it may be too late...
