      True. In chess world people will play the best move even in opening. I mean its like challenging MMA worldchampion without the world champion full force, NO HOLDING BACK. With only a month training, with world champion at full force and think he can beat the MMA champion.. it an insult to challenge itself. That what people dont get it why we are going hard for him

    3:42 correct me if I'm wrong, but checking if a position is winning or not without going any deeper would mean that he has created an algorithm that turns chess, an NP problem into a P problem, solving the P=NP millenium problem with the solution being P=NP. This would make him the most intelligent person alive and that algorithm could be studied and modified to help cure cancer, make transportations perfectly efficient, create super intelligent AI and solve every currently unsolved mathematical problem much more easily.
    In conclusion, he had no chance of ever making that program in his whole lifetime with a team of phd computer scientists, let alone by himself in a month with barely any knowledge of the math needed to begin to consider such a problem, and then also memorize it and run it in his head to beat Carlsen at chess.

    The amateur guy who thought could beat Magnus is actually a very interesting case study in todays lunacy. A true modern day Don Quijote. Only instead of books He's got algorithms. Even the technology of madness progresses I guess

      He's like a 6 year old kid that just won a race and actually thinks he's the best in the world. That mentality is fine at that age, it will be corrected once anyone points him toward Usain Bolt. But for a grown man, it is truly sad. Especially since there exists search engines nowadays ...

      You all neglect one question in all your antics... If you take Stockfish 16 and configure it to only use eval function and no search depth.... what ELO would it have? Feel free to guess, here. To share the embarrassment of that guesswork, I will kick it off with my personal guess: ELO > 2100.

    2:46 obviously the guy has no idea of what it takes to master the game of chess. And his algorithm is not something "new", Engines have been there for a long time. -but he obviously doesn't understand how quickly the number of possible lines increases.

    • @Eorzat
      @Eorzat 5 років тому

      Actually, what he wanted to try to create was something more than a Chess engine. He wanted to create something that was essentially a neural network in which it could evaluate a position without any calculation. He obviously didn't succeed otherwise he'd be known as a programming genius who significantly progressed the development of true A.I. lol
      In all fairness to him, though, I don't believe that he ever intended to get that much publicity. He seemed like an easy-going guy who didn't really take himself seriously until Carlsen actually agreed to a match with him.

  • @ReuvenF957
    @ReuvenF957 4 роки тому +2

    He looks like that because he's working chess problems in his head and trying to remember all the positions correctly.
