That nephew should consider doing mini conversions as a career. I love the lift up table top in the rear kitchen! End of video edit: So glad nephew is taking work on like this… and looking forward to an Van lid cooking channel, because small space cooking and good meal making in a van or RV is definitely a big learning curve!
Yes, and being a chef, he could create a little Truck Stop - van/stop business selling his food!🪷

Michael made the great point that there is diversity in the nomad community. I believe that means that there is less hate, less damaging judgement to fear. What a sweetie Michael is, and I think he's got a winning idea in his cooking channel. His nephew did a stellar job! I love watching these videos because different people come up with some very creative solutions for the challenge of creating a comfy, livable home in a confined space which usually has a bunch of weird curves, angles and (at least in the case of my car) multiple levels of floor. I love the dark stained wood. I know a lot of people in cars choose light colors, but dark stained wood is my preference too. I need to be starting my build very soon, I'm glad I saw this video first.
Fantastic, build! And, I love your mission of teaching healthy eating as nomads! I’m primarily plant-based SOS-free and do most of my own cooking, so healthy eating as a nomad would be extremely important to me. I’ve been researching nomad van life living for some time (love this channel!) and waiting for my window of opportunity… I’ve already made two big steps (recently retired and moved to Arizona). These van/rig tours are my favorite videos. Especially the minivans. We have a 2014 Dodge grand caravan that we rigged up with a bed for camping and road trips. Michael is a cool guy!

Wow, just wow. I’m so trying to get my van but I have to wait due to monetary and health issues. The van community seems so welcoming, I come from the mountain community which is also very friendly and tight and can’t see myself going back to the city. In the meantime I tent camp whenever I have the time and sometimes I get to meet the wonderful nomads, always so nice and down to earth.

That's a really comfortable looking space, with a very functional kitchen. Plenty of storage, I think. 🤔 One can always use more of that.
I love to watch cooking videos. I always helped Mom and sister-in-laws on the kitchen, and watched Julia Child and Justin Wilson after school. I rarely do more than heat up a can of soup for myself though.
I'll have to check his channel out. Anybody that can cook a decent meal out of a vehicle gets my attention. Not only for the final product, but the process involved.

Michael said he'd been watching this channel for TEN years, getting ideas, so he certainly had figured out what he needed to tell nephew Ted to do and here Ted had some special touches to add. Being a Chef and 300# would be hard on the back and feet, so I'm happy he lost the weight and changed his cooking style.
