The early turntables were driven by the steam from a hose hooked up to the steam locomotive once it was parked on the turntable .
This turntable with sheds really reminds me of Thomas and friends.
That’s really cool. I assume the control room must get pretty toasty with that resistor bank in there, spinning loads all day. Or does it have a cooling fan that exhausts the heat out?
