At least Nino is seeing how biased Viv is with the cops she likes vs the cops she doesn’t

But someone whos fit for the position of Ass. Chief should not have those issues to begin with duh.
problem is theres nobody else who is. You could say mcnulty but the guy doesn't even want that role, he wants to patrol.
Ruby has proven to not be a good fit for any high-ranking position in the PD. So Viv wanting her to be her Asschief seems more like an "I like her" and
"she's my friend" reason then a "She's a good fit for assistant chief" reason. Because it seemed like she was trying to tell Nino that she acted that way because of Beric. But we all know that that's not the case.
Yea I was actually thinking after the McNaulty call that Nino had the perfect reason to continue with his choice to pick Viv because it gave him the perfect out to convince Viv into taking Liam. All he had to do was tell Viv that Ruby told McNaulty that he was the only person that could be Chief. After hearing that betrayal, Viv would have almost certainly thought that Liam wouldn't be so bad afterall, and better yet, it would motivate her to demote Ruby further down the ladder than she initially planned.
However, after Tilly said how crazy it was for her to keep considering Ruby, even though she instantly shot down every option Nino suggested and even going so far to look for a reason to get rid of Peters. It became pretty clear that Viv never trusted Nino. Which is wild considering how like 99% of the characters on the server trust him within 5minutes of talking to Nino, even Den trusted Nino enough to vote for him even though he knew that if Nino became Mayor, Viv would likely become chief and there was a possibility that it would lead to him being fired.
Viv got played by Ruby. This meeting and her decision to pick Ruby as her Assistant Chief, ignoring Nino's concerns about Ruby, most likely made Nino decide to go with a new CoP.

The second you hear either of their voices you can tell they are giving off: “Well, then I want to talk to your manager’s Boss!“ vibes.
It’s not just about disagreeing with the straightman chief, it’s about having a funman to offset the seriousness who can be serious when necessary. Viv and Ruby are both too serious and can’t bring the fun to keep a lighthearted vibe to the PD culture.
This. Hate to make another comparison to 3.0 pd but the dynamic of pred being fun but a loose canon sheriff and Rhodes being the still fun but can be super serious undersheriff and questioning preds wild decisions was perfect

Viv doesn't understand that shift 2 gangs don't fuck around. If police use excessive force they will be hunted and/or wiped.

I've been enjoying the Mayor Arc, and luckily it popped up right when I was starting to feel like taking a hiatus from watch CG & NP content like I tend to do.
Unfortunately, the big good Arc got ruined by OOC and just anticlimacticly ended with nothing happening.
Ninos mayor arc is good as fuck. He's a god at this type of RP and it's a shame that max was such a waste of time and space
Honestly the crim stuff on the server is half baked at best. 3.0 crims had much more stuff they could do.

Peters for CoP... Having these same people stay in charge of PD is the equivalent to eating lukewarm oatmeal everyday. Gotta change it up and spice things up a bit sometimes. Even if its bad atleast its something different for a while. IMO
The way Nino searched for a chief seemed like the most logical way to do it, but after everything that happened it seems so obvious now that he should have never wasted his time caring about who the other cops thought would be a good chief. It wasn't a secret, everyone including their own police officers knew that the PD was broken. All of the other officers seem to have bought into the copium that Beric had his hands tied, when in reality he probably got denied for like one thing like getting Air1 and starting acting like he had no control. You don't need the Fed's approval to make sure your SOPs and training methods are good, and that your officers know RS/PC and to clean up the sloppy radio comms.
dont understand how Jimbo is never brought up. Seems like a decent fit like Peters but not as crazy.
At this point Jimbo and Liam will be the perfect pair.
She doesn't understand SBS cops. I think the only reason she was open to Peters is because she knew his "family member" was assistant chief to Brian Knight, although she still wasn't completely convinced as proven by the fact that she looked for the last incident he was disciplined for.
Regarding Jimbo I think she's probably just seen enough of his antics particularly in shift meetings that she can't imagine him taking a high command role seriously, even though he has told her a few times that he has been enjoying having more responsibility and that it has made him focus up more and be less SBS.
Right before asking Nino to rethink Ruby she had a long talk with Jimbo on the PD roof where she told him about her possibly becoming chief and her struggles finding an assistant chief, and he was dropping many subtle hints and openings for her to ask him if he would want to do it. Her chat was constantly asking for her to pop that question, and she never did it. She didn't even have to lock it in, all she had to do was see if that option was on the table and she couldn't bring herself to do it. Then shortly after she talked to Angel who gave her a lot of good advice like trying to find someone that fits the vibe instead of looking for people that have high command experience, and because she kind of kept shooting down everything Angel said, Angel eventually just told Viv what she wanted to hear which was "why not just keep Ruby" and thats what caused her to call Nino and setup the meeting to talk about Ruby.
if ruby is so good then viv should be ass chief and ruby promoted lol no point in putting someone else in charge if the one running it is so great

@@Originul_ I still think Viv will be CoP, he mentioned he'd e-mail something to her so it wouldn't get meta'd, I think he is just fucking with viewers like he did when talking to Eve about Tyler being CoP. Viewers/hoppers don't want Viv, so that is why it will probably be Viv, that is how I see it anyway.
I think this conversation about Ruby made him not pick Vivian in the future. It exposed a lot of her flaws. @@Sticksitincrazy

The last people Nino was considering were Liam MacMahon and Tyler Peters or Turner, with a Maybe Brian Knigjt double dip.
Its unfortunate that it happened this way because I feel like Viv and Nino really vibed together when they were on the same page. Viv actually seemed more upbeat whenever they would scheme about how to proceed. Like Nino said when comparing his talks with cops to his talks with Civs/Crims where the later were much shorter and more productive, I think Nino had that same type of thing with Viv.
Its a little disappointing that Viv never really seemed to trust Nino. Like Nino probably knows more about shift 2 than Viv because he actually lives in that timezone where Viv doesn't, you'd think she would have trusted him more especially since he selected her and was willing to agree with basically any disagreement she had, be it not picking asschief right away or not considering Jimbo. Nino would only disagree after thinking about it more and explaining his thought process later.
The simple fact is that if Viv was a good leader she should have been confident in her ability to take any of those picks and mold them into a great asschief, hell she even said that she believes that Jimbo has the potential to be high command but isn't ready yet, so why not pick him and train him? She didn't need to be so quick to dismiss any candidate Nino suggested, at the bare minimum she could have at least interviewed those candidates to make a more informed decision instead of rejecting them right away on the spot. But whatever, she didn't like the candidates, not a big deal, trust wasn't broken yet, but knowing Nino didn't want Ruby and still trying to force it really seals the deal.
Viv has always been like this though. She has groups she likes and gets along with and she has groups she does not like and treats them very differently. It’s one of the biggest reasons I don’t think she should be chief, she becomes very biased and will downplay what people she likes have done while being strict with everyone else.
She's too bias, stubborn, and ego driven to be CoP. You don't need a Harry Potter novel to get your point across

Yea its a pretty terrible excuse because if she could be trusted to fix a subordinates flaws then she shouldn't have a problem with taking any of Nino's suggestions for ACoP. In reality she would have never been able to fix any ACoP since they exists on different shifts.

@@user-erick007 McNulty was adamant that he didnt want the position so why would he choose him? Sounds like he changed his mind after Ruby told him which defo worries Nino. Jimbo is an option along with Tyler Peters but they fit better into the ass chief role so its only really between Liam and Viv atm afaik (maybe Turner but idk how serious he is)
