As a new father of a 7 month old baby boy my favorite part of this video was seeing the patience you showed with your son. It’s one thing to talk about how good of a parent we can be and it’s quite another to live it. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and just wanted to say that you are inspirational in a multitude of ways adjacent to your guitar teachings. Keep up the good work and know there are people watching your videos for more reasons than simply guitar tutorials. I wish you the best and will always refer you to any friends that need a helping hand learning songs.
@@MattMcCoy360 I’m happy that my comment was able to brighten your day. Your videos have inspired me to continue my guitar journey for almost a decade now. I appreciate that as I’m sure your family appreciates your virtuous patience.
I had a really difficult time with the strumming at first to, but a tip,. Listen to the song a few times before playing through it, and get a feel for it yourself. It will either sound right or won’t. I’ve found that easier to learn strumming than people saying DDUDDUU
Hey Matt, Im real new too it. I really wanna learn Feelin’ better Hank jr. It’s like 3 cords or so but for me it’s the picking that’s difficult to pick up on most songs. I was hoping you could cover this song in a video.
Good evening Matt I was going through and playing along a few of your songs this evening - really like your Travis Tritt stuff. I was looking for Luckenbach Texas by Waylon but didn’t see it. Not sure if I just overlooked it or if you posted that one. If you haven’t posted yet ya think you could put it on your to do list. Lol Also see you’re getting some mileage out of your new Zager too, it looks and sounds great are they really that much “easier” to play? I picked up a new Alverez Masterworks Elite (MFA70WCEARSHB) and absolutely love it, the most comfortable neck of the ones I’ve played in my short time of playing. Thanks again for all you do buddy you provide motivation and inspiration to more the you’ll ever realize! Randy Montgomery Texas Sent from my iPhone
Matt, can you please do a video on 2 count verses 4 count when it come to changing chords on a downstrum. I feel like the only thing to do on a 2 count is down down up. Thanks!!
I understand the timing vs a pattern. I'm gonna be somebody for example. I find myself just doing down down up on the 2 counts. Do I need to learn to do a full 4 count pattern and break it between chords? For example. Down down up for the first chord and then down up down up for the next chord?
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Christopher Emanuel thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
HAHAHA that's exactly without the exit of what my 3 year old foes to me when I try and play .. he won't just walk away though. I just took it that my playing stinks lol.. It makes me laugh thinking that your going through the same thing. Great dads just roll with it 😆 and we are a dying breed brother...

Great lesson. Love your interaction with your son in these videos. Does your wife sing or play? It may be time to have her share the stage…
great jam!
Been trying to play this song for 3 weeks now

On your Em in the chorus swop that out for a B7 bar chord. The chord you refer to as a C2 is actually C9. Good voice. Keep it up.
Thanks!
Rabdy Travis... 2 songs... 3 wooden crosses..... Diggin up Bones
What’s the strumming pattern for this?
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account??

Little bears. Thanks
need to talk more about the strumming, looks like you doing some upstrokes and I haven't seen you talk about it in any of the videos.
Hey I put the vid in slow motion and learned from there. It helped me to write it down! Would you like me to share how I did it?
