Kenji is Nubbz’ favourite brawler since chilhood
A lot of players overreact when they call Kenji "broken." Yes, he's strong and fun to play, but that doesn't mean he's unbeatable. There are some matchups where he might feel stronger, but that's often because the opponents aren't picking the right brawlers or strategies. For example, Crow or Squeak don't perform well against Kenji, which leads to complaints that he's overpowered. But that's not really the case.
Kenji is a new, powerful brawler with unique mechanics, and players need time to get used to his playstyle and figure out how to counter him. Just like with previous brawlers, who were initially labeled as "too strong," players will eventually learn how to deal with Kenji. Take mico as an example: people complained about him at first, but once players got smarter, they found ways to counter him effectively.
In my opinion, Kenji isn’t the one who’s too broken-there are other brawlers like Moe that feel more unfair. As for countering Kenji, there are clear strategies. If he uses his shield, focus on breaking that first before using your ult. Brawlers with multi-shot attacks, high damage output, or tanky stats can make life hard for Kenji. For example, a team combo of Shelly and Bull will leave him with little chance.
Here are some strong counter-brawlers: Otis with his ult, Clancy at full level, Griff with ult, Shelly, Bull, Darrel, Leon with full ammo, and Meg. Stick together as a team, and Kenji won't stand a chance.

I 100% agree that a brawler being new and overpowered doesn’t dictate a “no skill” brawler. When Melodie was released she was pretty good with a really high skill ceiling. But then people got better with her and understood how to play her. It wasn’t until people saw how good people got with her in brawl ball that they started calling for nerfs.
New does not mean no skill.
With that being said, Kenji is a lot easier than he should be with all his advantages.

Imo Moe is slightly more broken than Kenji, … IN A WAY.
Ofc up close theres literally nothing you can do once you get in Kenjis Range, unless you have crazy DPS burst damage. Which is NOT the case with Moe.
However , at Mid to semi long range, Moe is doing 3600 damage per shot ….

He does 10,800 damage with his star power with 3 shots. Basically erasing every non tank if you arent expecting him.

I bought kenji. It was my first time buying something for money in the game for about 3 months. And in my push to 1k (I’m currently 860) I’ve had about 10 teammates just not play and shoot me at the start of the game. Like what?!?!? I’m sorry I saved up money for a brawler
Tbh, it's lowkey understandable. It's not good, but understandable. They are not mad at you for spending money they just hate Kenji and how he is lowkey ruining ladder.

Kenji is a combination between mortis and kit, but with some more cool and helpful gadgets.
Idk what his gadget does but I'll be about to kill him then he just randomly heals like all his health with it. Then supers and kills my entire team. I bet they won't even nerf him for like 3 weeks
People are crazy. Kenji really needs you to play well, look at mr. Kairos' video from yestarday. His gameplay absolutely sucked - and he kept taking the Ls. Aiming his super to hit twice on one person is probably harder than hitting R-T shots and Willow's super. Not to mention you really need to know when and where to dash and where to slash. I can see him being sort of like melodie, where I'll see him everywhere, but people don't know anything about how you should play the brawlers. New melodie players are absolute crap, so are gonna be new Kenji players. And he's also not like gamebreaky, the entire S tier in this meta counters him, since all of them have multi-projectile attacks to counter his star power and a way to knock/stun/burst kenji, so they shut him easily. Brawl Stars community sucks man.
