There are situations where I prefer each. If I feel well and I am in a happy mood I prefer B. If I don't feel well and am in an unhappy mood I prefer a soft and gentle bouquet. I have good days and bad days because I am 90 years old. Your flowers remind me of my mother. She planted flower beds all around our homes over the years.
Well... I think that an average flower buyer pictures growing flowers like: a lady in a nice dress, straw hat with a fancy ribbon, a wicker basket over one arm and a pair of scissors in the other hand, perfect English garden with tallish bushes of flowers and she just picks and snaps them and elegantly places them in the basket, no back bending....so not lady like!!!! Yes, right!!! Nicole, my back hurts by just watching you:)))))
you are so blessed to have a mom in law who wants to help you succeed! If she is that good, Brad must be a real keeper! Congrats Nicole! Great Family!!!!
You are so much fun to watch. When you post a new video I tell my hubby and he gets as excited as I do. You are such an inspiration!! We moved into our forever dream house on 3.5 acres in zone 8a NC. We are having the time of our lives playing in the yard!! Wishing you an amazing season!!
Zone envy is a real thing but every zone has it's issues. I live in the desert, zone 8B. We have had weeks of temps around 110 with no rain for months and months!! I have to use shade cloth to keep everything from burning up. Thankfully I don't have deer and the scorpions don't seem to bother the plants. :) I do have naughty Raccoons sometimes. For me I have land envy. I love your land!! Everything is beautiful and the flowers will be Amazing. Great Job!!
UT here. Apart from land envy (because, yes!) I was looking at the wonderful meadow around the planting beds thinking "everything is so GREEN" And I guess, yes, it needs to get mowed once in a while to not get out of hand, and it's a chore and I would curse it if I had the land and didn't have the machinery and manpower... But it looks wonderful from here and now ;) Currently the only thing that remains (somewhat) green without regular irrigation is bindweed. You get used to it, it's normal - until something reminds you how things look like in May/June in, say, zone 7a that isn't incidentally in the desert.
Correction: trees and established shrubs are green, and I have converted front yard to shrubs, perennials and drip irrigation (and park strip gets watered by hand when I get to it, and you gotta love native plants and nativars). And things stay green. But it's tired green. The "I learned to live with the heat" green. "Grass is always greener" certainly gets a new meaning!
Thank you for reminding us to focus on our garden, our goals, our passions & not worry about all the advice and opinions. Just do our best is so important! And I choose B for my table because I love color in my home. I choose A for my Mother-In-Law's table because she loves fancy.
She's pretty either way. It's pretty to do what you want. And be who you are. I'm not trying to be mean, but saying "you look soooo much prettier without the makeup" isn't the complement you think it is. What if someone really enjoys wearing makeup they just can't do it all the time? Now, anytime they put on makeup, which they liked to do, they will think they don't look good. That isn't fair.
Love your honest, real face. Farming isn't about cute in my book. You are so lucky to have moms that jump in and help, but seeing your real face I can see why they would. Sure the rainbow will look great but truly don't have the patience to figure it out, knowing it isn't a public landscape but a harvest field... tip of the trowel to you . Until last year never heard of ranuculus flowers, thought it was just a knitting pattern that was the rage. Hope the rain falling today lightens before it gets to you.
Please, whatever you do, DON’T CHANGE!!! I adore you and have so many aspirations with watching you, and you are a women of my own heart!!! Your morning shower talk, ‘Take me how I am” comments are gold!!! You are a hard working amazing women and I love watching what you are doing, in all ways that you are getting it done!!! Makes me want to get out to my peony farm and get back to work, at 10 PM in the midnight sun!!! Cheers fellow flower grower!
B no A, no B...all the flowers. Praying for T posts to be found, before any sad deer ate my flowers video. Those fields are going to be way exciting to see!
I have never seen plastic laid down like that before. They sure have amazing useful things they have invented. Brand new to this channel SO glad I found it. Thanks to The Impatient Gardener
I'm right there with you. I check several times a day thinking you tube didn't notify me of new video. I check the community tab to see if there is a comment regarding no video. I don't have Instagram. I check FB for possible updates. Think I might be addicted to your videos...lol
I'm a new subscriber and love your channel. I love "B". The colors are beautiful and vibrant. I look forward to viewing your past videos for tips and tricks. Thanks so much!
Beautiful and very very beautiful your work in the areas to different flavors in garden!!together!together!Thank you so much and family members and friends so much!!!🎶🎧🍔🍎🍏⛪🏛
I just wanted to tell you that you are beautiful. Your knowledge is appreciated and I am so grateful for your channel. I am trying to start a flower farm/market garden now on my family land and it would be a dream come true. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
I love watching your videos, and taking notes of all the useful tips and tricks for flower farming. This is my first year really scaling up my flower farming to a larger scale and you are my go to for videos and learning. Thank you, keep it up! Especially when you tell us specific products your using and how often, spacing, etc.
I’m so impressed that zinnias can be soil blocked and their roots be separated as you do. I’ve read so many articles about any root disturbance to zinnias causes small blooms or stunting. Your harvest looked amazing, with large beautiful blooms!
All that traffic might have me think about a temporary lot for a farm stand. My back is killing me now, I can't imagine doing all that planting by myself. Really like the music you put with this one. Good advice right here too.!
I love to watch your videos when i need info or a pick me up! you have so much to offer the public including the negative. In the beginning I was skeptical but I was a beginner at one time {and still learning1 Your sense of humor, knowledge, and your love for flowers And people are such a joy to welcome you into our flower lives!!! I won't judge you cause I look the same when Im busy. Stay real and God bless you mutely!!! And for your mother in law!!]
Both of course! But definitely A for me ♥️! I’m from Kansas so it is definitely on my bucket list to plan a small vacation/road trip up north to see old family land and to buy Flower Hill Farm flowers for my daughter and I! (She is 2 and HUGE fan 😂)
I never realized Nicole was so obsessed with "Statice" symbols, I guess it's all about how down to earth you are! Lovely to see how much you got done! Thank you as always!
I believe the Benary line of seeds is pronounced Ben| ary with the accent on the "ary"(sounds like "airie). You work sooooo hard. I enjoy following you and enjoying your enthusiasm. I have been growing cut flowers on our farm in Illinois for 21 yrs! Still love flowers and growing, but age takes it's toll! Much success to you!
I love both A & B. I would buy both, so that I could put them together and have pops of colour with those whites, creams and pinks. 😍💞💐 Looking amazing. Awesomeness. You have been working hard! 🐝💐 I recommend propagating all of those zinnia cuttings/toppings on your porch in a shade area!. They can be rooted and replanted in a couple weeks. 😉🎚🙏🏻💐 Keep growing! 🌱🙏🏻
That is what’s happened to my roses and I notice one of my Peonies today! No bug issues last year. This year they are trying my patience 😑 those little dots are looking to be caused by Four lined plant bug. I have to get some Captain Jacks ASAP. Anyway I digress.....you’ve done an amazing job on your farm. Can’t wait to see your High Summer bouquets.
Thank you for another video :) lots of plants growing, so much work done, lots of good point discussed. Bug damage seem to be widespread in UK this year. For the first time ever I have day lily gull and aphid attach just non stop. But, as you say, you just cut your losses and try to find solutions for next year. I have to say you are such a magnet to wildlife 😅 it was so funny to see the birds back 💕
Where is the Lisianthus? All winter we watched You Tube Lisianthus seed starting, and no one has shown how the Lisianthus is doing. Mine is sooo small. Canada Zone 3. Keep up the GREAT work Nicole you are precious!!
If you can’t find the tposts, you can use rebar stakes and 1/2” PVC pipe to put up the deer netting. I used that to create a low tunnel for my brassicas to put shade cloth and netting to keep cabbage moths out and it’s pretty dang sturdy. Flower patch looks great!!

Just watching oldie but goodies until spring comes 🤣
B. Feeling happy and bright and hopeful!!

Hello Nicole, I just found your channel. WOW, I love it!! You're a hoot! I laugh while I'm learning, the best way to do it! Thank you

The joy I feel seeing you planting tge zinnias! Oh, we gardeners have a secret... our happiness is way more deep!
I love “A”! But would not say no to “B” 💕💕💕

Well I'm an "A' kind of girl but both are stunning! And I adore your mom-in-law, what a blessing.
2023 and I still enjoy your first year vlogs....thank you Nichole 🤎🌱🤎
You honestly look soooo much prettier without the make up!
Thanks....but.... meh.

"I paid the bug to do that" Hahahaha! Love your videos. Farm looks amaaaaazing!!
B. Like the romantic A, but the bright fun is great cause life is short big and bold
I love zinnias!!! I like it when you turn the camera around so we can really see the plants & property. It's going to be beautiful.
How in the heck did you ever get "The Back 14" planted out? Olympic Planting? I think that should be a thing. Everything looks amazing.

Both A and B are beautiful! I think my answer depends on what mood I'm in, so right now I would say B!
For cut flowers I love A, but in the ground probably B 😍
I believe the Benary line of seeds is pronounced Ben| ary with the accent on the "ary"(sounds like "airie). You work sooooo hard. I enjoy following you and enjoying your enthusiasm. I have been growing cut flowers on our farm in Illinois for 21 yrs! Still love flowers and growing, but age takes it's toll! Much success to you!
I’ve heard it three different ways! I prefer to just say zinnia 🤣
I love both! I can't choose! 😱
Love seeing all your beautiful plants. My scabiosa is just now blooming and I am loving it! First time growing them.
I love both A & B. I would buy both, so that I could put them together and have pops of colour with those whites, creams and pinks. 😍💞💐
Looking amazing. Awesomeness.

B I love brights they make me happy here in the uk the calendula and gladiolus byzantine have been making me smile for the last month
I am drawn first to A. But I truly do love both of them ❤
hello I am from Trinidad love watching your videos
Ohh my goodness how beautiful, I cannot wait to see all the beautiful bouquets.🌸🌺🌷🌼🌻
Where is the Lisianthus? All winter we watched You Tube Lisianthus seed starting, and no one has shown how the Lisianthus is doing. Mine is sooo small. Canada Zone 3. Keep up the GREAT work Nicole you are precious!!
I wanna know too 😭 mine got stolen this year so I gotta live through her 😭
It’s in the deer fence! Still small but growing!Video update soon!
Wow everything is going to be glorious!!! I love flowers A!!!
I love B. Didn't you plant gomphrena back in the beginning of the year? Oh yeah, succession planting. We're having horrendous bug problems! It's killing me. We need to invest in Captain Jack's. I'm in zone 10b and my ranunculus is done now so I will have to look at yours. #zone envy. I really have the best weather but we don't have much of a winter or spring. My lizzies are beginning to bloom now YAY! I love your garden and can't wait to see everything blooming.
You are such an encourager, Nicole! Thanks for everything you do to share your farm life with us!
Love both of them. I'm a little envious. Mine are just budding. Fingers crossed 🤞I get blooms as this is my first year planting ranunculus.🇨🇦
I love them both!
You are so informative and fun. Thanks
Absolutely fantastic so excited to see the final products it will be so gorgeous
Your farm is so beautiful, congratulations to you, very happy home space.
So you can make jigs for that plastic. Take some plywood. And measure and cut holes with a hole saw (its a drill bit), like a 2 inch bit or 1.5 inch in the ply wood.
Make the plywood the width of your beds, & whatever length is easy for you to move. Measure holes 4, 6, 8 etc whatever your common spacings are, one jig per spacing tho.
Then you lay your jig on the plastic and burn the holes in with a light pass with a blow torch or flame thrower thingy (you get them for melting tar for driveways or something)
Also if you make zigzags with your rows and columns instead of squares you get more plants in the space with them having more room around themselves.
(So if row A starts at 0 inches (so 0, 6, 12, etc), row B would start at 3 inches (so 3, 9, 18, etc), and row C would start at 0 inches (so 0, 6, 12 etc), etc assuming a 6 inch spacing.
I hope that makes sense its sooo much easier to draw it out instead of writing. Lol
