poor maggie! if I understood correctly, she owed less than 400 pounds (and those pieces were only worth gold weight, so definitely worth more sentimentally) - makes sense and was so nice of James to write that off.
That really touched me James writing that woman's owed bill for her sentimental rings. I love this show. Just started watching! ** love when they say I'm godsmacked!
I live in the US & I've recently discovered show & absolutely love it. I'm hooked on watching it & for the first time felt the need to comment... God bless this shop & all the people in it! What they've done really touched my soul. 🙏
That was very heart warming that he forgiven her loan due to her extreme situation. It brought me to tears. I believe he did the right thing. Good karma will come back around to him when he least expects it. What a good man.
I love this !!!! You are an amazing guy James ! You are definitely cut from a special piece. There is a beautiful place in heaven for you !! Thank you for all you do !
Well I'm in tears that was the kindest thing to do for that lady bless her and really enjoy watching your show thank you for all that you did for that lady good on you sir!! Lots love from Canada ❤😢😊
Having a merciful and charitable heart is more valuable than gold Diamonds and Pearls the Lord Almighty is watching and will bless your business because of your sympathetic decision
What James did with writing off the ladies loan and returning her jewelry was very humane. James, may you have many blessings in life beyond what you have now! That was as very touching what he did. He’s a bigger man than meets the eye!
The measure of a man is not how much he owns but how big is his heart. May GOD PROSPER YOU a thousand fold, I humbly pray in the name of our Almighty God and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. GOD IS REAL.
Absolutely astonishing, so wonderful that he did that for the lady. Money is not everything when it comes to someone alone in situations like hers. Well done ❤👍
Totally been watching for 2 days now lol Brilliant show! Really like all the people in it ! Very interesting to see these different situations play out! James n the crew Well done! Big love from NY. 🥰
A thing like that as small as it is to most and it was a small amount, but not in what they meant can change her life from then on. She leaves thinking thats the best thing thats happened to me in a very long time, maybe this is a turning point and suddenly positive stuff starts happening. Positivity breeds positivity.
God bless you James for helping that lady. Just don't make a habit of it. You'll go broke. But your 2 best friends /employees where right to ask for help. God bless you all.
I don't understand, why not just sell the tanzanite stones rather than get a loan of 5k, and then if you can't pay it back you will loss the whole 30k (retail value).
I did a quick scan on a single show on chance while surfing and now I have been locked up on my 4th. It is sad that I found you and based on my availability and/or time constraints must now remove one of my old favorites from its time slot to make room for your show, cheers!
I see Ian in the thumbnail, I click on. He needs his own show. I'd love to have a good sticky beak around his business, you just know it's full of beautiful pieces. 💎👑💍
Nah, he probably bought the jewelry legally from earnings from jewelry he stole. It's like money laundering, so it will not on their list of stolen items.
That's just the impression they gave you purposely to make the show more interesting. But you did make me laugh. It's like a man saying he's got a gut feeling he's not getting laid when his wife climbs into bed and says she's got a headache. They aren't going to buy or sell stolen items from a known criminal on camera.
First thing I thought too!! And to see the cat burglar in a white speedo?? Holy craptastic...i have to keep captions on when i watch because I'm from Georgia and I cant understand what they say lol!😝
It’s sick that a glorified thief goes on about being a cat burglar. I bet you the hurt and memories of the day he’d broken in and stolen someone’s family heirlooms and valuables still torments them even now. Wouldn’t it be dealing in the proceeds of crime knowing that it is more than likely stolen? Doesn’t matter when, doesn’t matter if you did jail time, these items don’t belong to your family. I don’t like seeing people making money on others suffering and that’s exactly what this is. Why wouldn’t the police have seized all the jewellery back in the day, he was convicted, wonder where they hid it?
I would assume, and because they stated in the show, that they were thoroughly checked out. James does not mess with the business. He’s an intelligent man. As far as assumptions go, I believe you just made a lot of assumptions. I assure you that his case was investigated thoroughly by the detectives, hence the time served.

this was filmed years ago, in about 10 more years those dollar notes will be worth 20K when all the cash is digital and people get it into collecting cash notes from holidays in other countries.
I'm a bit at a loss as to how they make money on a loan , if they loan ?? say $10.000 - then the customer pays back on time , how do they make money ? 've never pawned anything so I don;t know .
The loan is extended with interest. The business likes to find a valuable item in which they can offer a sizeable loan with more interest over time. After all a $50,000 loan at 10% over a year end due is $50,000 plus $5000 in interest. That means the customer has to come up with $55,000 to repay the pawn shop in order to get their valuables back. Tough to do if the jewelry owner was near bankruptcy and desperately needed cash flow. The only item the borrower had of worth was Grandma’s diamonds. I hope that helps explain the process. 🇨🇦 Stay safe and healthy.
have heard James state interest rate is 3.9% or there abouts … paid to Prestige monthly for say 7 month contract I think … so Prestige part with some cash but hold valuable item plus they get paid monthly interest … borrower then has option to repay entire loan at end of agreed contract (say 7 months) or else Prestige will sell their valuable item to recover the cash they initially loaned on the valuable item … so far as I can see this is how it might work, but never been to Pawn Shop myself
HEAVENS SAKE!! JUST 1 OF THEM GEM IS MORE THAN £5000 (TANZANITE) ...SAD PPL HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT VALUE OF THEIR ITEMS...IMAGINE 2 AT D AUCTION....ITS FEW HUNDRED £££££... THANK GOD U LET THAT GO N RETURNED IT TO MAGGIE...ITS TOO SMALL AN AMOUT TO KEEP..N U DID D MOST COMPASSIONATE DEED OF D YEAR!!!
You know what, maybe he did find a way to make up his loss, but that’s his business and he didn’t have to do it. What have YOU done? Where have you gone out of your way for someone else? All your comment did was make you look ugly.
JAMES...FOR CRYING OUT LOUD ...ITS JUST SUCH A SMALL AMOUT IF FEW THOUSAND TO HELP HER ..COMPARED TO D MILLIONS U HAVE COLLECTED ..DRAT!! HAVE SOME TINY BIT OF COMPASSION COMPARED AGAIN TO D CARATS DIAMONDS PRICES!!! WHEN SHE CANNOT PAY D INTEREST LET HER KNOW TO SELL D ITEMS...N THAT TOO WILL RELIEVE HER FROM PAYING D INTEREST...
No literally you ca help this lady by offering her a surprise huge amount. You are opening so many agencies and earning so much money. You should surely work with a bit of genosity.. I honestly feel because these people have lost everything they had also the man who sold his armery horse with soldier and also the gentleman who brought his currency collection. They are really struggling to just manage in their lives.. I would personally appreciate.
2nd show watched and I am addicted
Same
Ya great show. I fill the same way.
Me too
Me three!
Oh my....I am crying buckets.
Well done James may you have great success in your life for your kindness...

poor maggie! if I understood correctly, she owed less than 400 pounds (and those pieces were only worth gold weight, so definitely worth more sentimentally) - makes sense and was so nice of James to write that off.
She kinda looks like Catherine Tate.
Being successful is more than just amount of money! Well done James. A true hero!
Oh my!! A pawnbroker with a heart?? Well done mate!! Well done indeed!!
There isn’t a kind hearted Pawnbroker out there.
That really touched me James writing that woman's owed bill for her sentimental rings. I love this show. Just started watching! ** love when they say I'm godsmacked!
gobsmacked….and it was touching!!

It was very unusual to see a pawn broker make a house call.very nice of Jo!! And very NICE of James , Great show!! Love Ian too!!
Well done James. It’s this kind of generosity that we take with us when we leave this life. X
That’s really nice of James to do that for that lady ❤️
What James did with writing off the ladies loan and returning her jewelry was very humane. James, may you have many blessings in life beyond what you have now! That was as very touching what he did. He’s a bigger man than meets the eye!
That was beautiful...my heart goes out to Maggie...
The measure of a man is not how much he owns but how big is his heart. May GOD PROSPER YOU a thousand fold, I humbly pray in the name of our Almighty God and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. GOD IS REAL.
Well done James❤🥰
Beautiful James...
Some borrowing $100 000 and some can't come up to $ 400. How interesting to see it and so happy for lady keeping her jewelry.
Wow!!!! What a great man. God bless you Sir.
Absolutely astonishing, so wonderful that he did that for the lady. Money is not everything when it comes to someone alone in situations like hers. Well done ❤👍
Better late than never but that's a beautiful thing you did James God-bless you

Good on ya James 🙌🏾 Been binge watching this, it's really good 😁
James, your a great person to help one in a situation where she was flabbergasted! Well done! Thanks 😊
This episode earned my subscription. Hats off to you sir.
James pretends to be a heartless skinflint. But there's a soul in there, hanging on to the back of a super bike.
God bless you James for helping that lady. Just don't make a habit of it. You'll go broke. But your 2 best friends /employees where right to ask for help. God bless you all.
So happy for that sick lady
10 out of 10 for James well done.
No matter what your father went through you still believe in him and proud of him you're the best doughter God bless 🙏 you
This cannel is called ABSOLUTE REALITY so you need to go find a preachers channel if you want invisible fairy tales in the sky to fake bless anything!
I love this pawnshop, dealing with a heart!
I don't understand, why not just sell the tanzanite stones rather than get a loan of 5k, and then if you can't pay it back you will loss the whole 30k (retail value).
It’s a show....some cases are probably not even real/planted
Thought this too - maybe they only took one stone?
The sale of the asset pays off the loan + fees, remainder to the owner
I love these ppl here.
I did a quick scan on a single show on chance while surfing and now I have been locked up on my 4th. It is sad that I found you and based on my availability and/or time constraints must now remove one of my old favorites from its time slot to make room for your show, cheers!
I collect antiques and your episodes are very educational. Wish you would show more of your humor that you hold back.
Beautiful. Blessings 💗. Arizona USA
Can you buy items that were stolen? If I saw a pic of a family heirloom being pawned I would go to the bobbies.
I see Ian in the thumbnail, I click on. He needs his own show. I'd love to have a good sticky beak around his business, you just know it's full of beautiful pieces. 💎👑💍
I like him too. What's his last name? Thank you.
Ian Towning had his own show about his pawn shop. He was robbed some years as go but he's still carrying on with his business with his husband.
@@khrisi9410 do you remember what it was called please?
@@elenawilliams32 search UA-cam. Put his name Ian Towning robbery and you'll find him.
Anyone else think his step daughter was pawning stolen goods 😂😂
Very funny to say that a pawn shop rarely gets in contact with a "former" burglar
James you are wonderful
On the cat burglar I have my suspicions of where all that jewelry came from . Business is business.
Nah, he probably bought the jewelry legally from earnings from jewelry he stole. It's like money laundering, so it will not on their list of stolen items.
Jo is hilarious and her saying are excellent
I have a gut feeling those were left over stolen jewels
That's just the impression they gave you purposely to make the show more interesting. But you did make me laugh. Most criminals have a great sense of creativity and if they used that ability for profit they’d do well.
May God Bless you from Buffalo NY
I think he is scamming his own very nice daughter.
No that's his step- daughter... And where's the Mom? Odd....
Angels exist that's all I can say!

The PAWN store should have called the police to come in to return those items to the real owner. It is ok as long as the man is a Caucasian man

@@anndaniels3545 Must be a time traveler then because it was posted on youtube in feb2021 and 2020 season was canned due to covid for a bit.
"They worth 10x more than diamonds" then proceeded to ask for 5k 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Great show
This is so much better than pawn stars
What a stellar guy , The gate will be open for you ! Dave at 55.
Cat burglar with his loot, and they brought it?
Nah it's more like money laundering, you buy legal jewelry with money you earned from sales of stolen jewelry.
Yes because as James said he's done his time, so they arent responsible anymore for buying stolen goods (pawn brokers morals are very bendy)
Wow what a nice guy!! Who does that!
Very nice episode
Love you all!
wow..criminality is the way to go
I'd love to have a tanzanite stone put in a ring their gorgeous
The last lady probably went back there next day and asked to pawn a bunch of rings for 500
It doesn’t matter what the loan is on the notes. Could be 30k or 100k, they still have you over. Don’t go to a Pawn shop!
British people are so cool
We’ll write the debt off, but I want her cats.
what year is this?
What percentage rate are these loans given at?
have heard James state 3.9% or there abouts … sounds like it needs to be paid to Prestige monthly for say 7 month contract
I'm a bit at a loss as to how they make money on a loan , if they loan ?? say $10.000 - then the customer pays back on time , how do they make money ? 've never pawned anything so I don;t know .
