Christina Aguilera actually has a lot of coloratura characteristics. The only one who I would not consider a coloratura voice is Lady Gaga.

Mariah is at another level.
Beyonce & Mariah just hit different, they're so balanced and clear and have huge ranges and their registers are seamless. Beyonce is just open clean and powerful I have no idea why people think her voice is weak or boring, I think people perceive strain and shouting (which is more Xtine/Gaga style) to mean more power, Beyonce in my opinion drowns the room in resonance without screaming. 6:54 is an example Xtina/Gaga are shouting/screaming and Beyonce just unload the open pulsating resonance to me lol... it's weird to me that some people like to hear struggle and effort in a voice. I like a cleaner more powerful voice not grit personally.
Because in your taste technicality is what you consider best. Some of us don't give a fuck about proper technique and care about the emotion the singer gives. Xtina is a NATURAL raw God given talent. Mariah is technically trained. You can teach people to hit the right notes. You can't teach them to feel them. I saw Xtina, Gaga and Mariah at the start of 2020 and without a doubt the most impressive was Xtina. You could literally feel her growls through the speakers. It was magical. Something I've never experienced in a live concert before.

I chose to use more of the conventionally “objective” measures because that’s usually the point of these videos.
I think the point that a singer has an artistic edge undermines the point of comparison. Where do we draw the line at? Lorde vs Celine Dion?...
I just feel Beyonce and Mariah can clearly do more with their voice than say, Lady Gaga, it is clear that Mariah/Bey could duplicate Xtina/Gaga’s choices while Gaga could never duplicate Mariah or Beyoncé’s best moments.
All in all, I see your point but I feel that your point is on a higher spectrum than that of objectivity. Gaga and Xtina have an artistic edge but I feel Mariah and Bey have a technical edge, so they win on those grounds if we’re to compare objectively.

@@tsxtina2919 You can't measure rawness or emotions lmao. If I think that Beyonce is emotive, then she is. If I feel the Xtina is extra, then she is. Moreover, technique is measurable. There are specific ways to say how much these vocalist put a lot of work in order to gain control over their instrument. The likes of you are the worst for trying to discredit people's efforts just because those who didn't work hard enough also earned success.
No I don't think that Mariah is technically trained she just has "it" as soon as she stepped out. All the other girls (and some guys) look to her as "the bunny in the race", while they are the "horses" trying to keep up. Bey is a good example because he voice has only gotten better than her DC days (imo). You can tell Bey has worked hard to try and keep up. They are all amazing imo, its just that Matiah is obviously on her own planet when it comes to singing abilities, her agility alone.❤jmo

Mariah and Christina are just blessed with a god given singing voice. The other two ladies, well had to pull in a vocal coach. There's nothing outstanding about their voices in comparison to Mariah and Christina.

This is an interesting way of doing a vocal battle. I love all of these talented, beautiful, successful, awesome ladies. All are incredibly gifted in more ways than one. We are blessed to have their music and to hear their voices. Mariah is probably my favorite and then Beyoncé then Christina then Gaga. These are (probably/kinda) my favorites as in artists/music but as for vocals in this video I would have to listen/watch again to hear more closely and then decide. It is probably the list I made though.
Bottom line is all of these women and their vocals are incredible!

All of them have its own signatures. Mariah Carey have been in the game for the longest time. Beyonce behind Carey but still does impressive until today. Christina's voice is also great and have bops. Lady Gaga, she easily wins the modern day songs with A Star is Born imo. A Star is Born is really really great considering modern day songs are really boring. I'm not just talking shallow, but other songs are really great as well! Make sure to hear A Star is Born (especially for couple goals or if you're heartbroken)

Christina sounds beautiful up to A4, but beyond that, it's too inconsistent and definitely strained passed a C5. Gaga has great technique, but she just doesn't do it for me on the upper note spectrum. 🤷🏾♂️

Mariah Can sing a Gaga song, Mariah can sing a Beyonce song and Mariah can sing a Christina Aguilera song, however Beyonce can't sing Mariah's entire repertoire nor can Gaga and Xtina may struggle but can do a better job and has a wider range. Gaga andariah writes their music and Mariah produces hers as well, Gaga produces some of it. Christina and Beyonce don't write much or produce much, they're fine with getting a song from somebody else, however Xtina mas hay tops 15 to 17 producers per album. Beyonce's in the other hand has more than 25 producers per album and that makes her a more fabricated artist. Gaga may have 10 or 22 tops and Mariah may have you to 10 co-producers yet she is always listed as the first or second meaning she is the one that has a higher input in the song. They are all good amazing unique vocalists but Mariah is a born singer, her innate talent makes her unstoppable, seamlessly connected range, has one of the hardest vocal repertoires in mainstream music she either writes the songs or she does covers from songs that they have spoken to her in the past. The innate talent allows her to show off the talent without disrupting the harmonics of the song and she has an uncanny skill to create different sounds in the different registers that allows her to color the song even better. I used to admire and respect Beyonce so much but in the past few months I've been reading some stuff about her, plagiarism law suits shushed by her husband, or settled as to avoid scandals, she has stolen songs, choreographies , concert concepts etc. I don't admire her anymore and after actually reading how her albums are made she feels like a built artists, yes she can dance and sing really well but that is not enough. You're either the artists that can do it all or simply don't pretend like you are one, simply show your strengths but don't be deceptive.
