For the deal damage step of the quest you must deal damage to PLAYERS, damaging NPCs will not give progress towards the quest. The final step has also been changed and is no longer RNG, eating the Sukuna Finger is guaranteed to complete the step and give Vergil now.

The hidden requirement is to defeat shadow musashi with 100% hp (you can still take damage, use necromancer or goober)

Get 500 points with whatever
You just need 500 points on the winter board in general. Once you have at least 500 then you can equip Kenjutsu and talk to Squidy to start the quest.
