Every year Cosmo Soul Express Band takes the stage at the Ontario Music Educators' Association (OMEA) conference for music educators. Though the 2020 conference is virtual this time, we see no difference! We had a ton of fun putting this together and hope you enjoy. Cosmo Soul Express Band is:

ABOUT COSMO SOUL EXPRESS BAND:
The Ontario Music Educators Association (OMEA) holds an annual conference at which educators and music retailers from across the province get together for three days to talk about what’s new in the industry, attend workshops, and so much more. There’s one problem when everyone is together though - what is there to do in the evenings? In 2004, the Cosmo Music team (and industry friends) thought that they should hire a band to do just that. After doing due diligence and looking for a good local band, they realized one thing - they were all talented musicians in their own right! The new concept was born - Cosmo Soul Express Band. A band that was formed with the sole intent to entertain teachers and educators while in town for this incredibly important annual conference. The Cosmo team had been working with these educators for years on a professional level, and here was the perfect opportunity to get on stage and show them what they were made of! Considered a horn band, Cosmo Soul Express Band plays a lot of R&B, disco, motown, and pop hits - keeping you on your feet dancing. Cosmo Soul Express Band plays at the OMEA Conference, charity events, and CosmoFEST primarily featuring Cosmo staff, alumni, and other industry friends.

I worked at Cosmo 1985 to 1990. There are at least five people in this video that were there while I was there. And another 3 or 4 more that I know of not in the video. That's a sign of a good company. Great video too! Cheers Cosmo.
