I remember being in Rome last March and seeing multiple excavation sites, especially near the train stations. Amazing how they are still finding artifacts from the time of the Romans.
The irony of filling in a basilica with dirt to bury the memory of a family only to preserve it for the ages.
hotbluflame2 RIGHT?! It’s amazing
Rome is such a treasure, went there twice and yet there’s always more that I feel like I wish I could go back and experience ❤
Such amazing work of architectural designs and the strength to withstand so many year's, buried. What a dream come true to see if I've ever had a chance.
How amazing. Would love to live in Rome.

Would love to visit. How do you access this site?
Where in Rome? There are many ancient basilicas!
They say it 00:22 seconds into the video: Termini Station.
@@Dear_Mr._Isaiah_Deringer Yes but I live by there and I don't know where the entrance to this is..
@@bitbugsbyte You're not meant to know. It's still being restored.
@@jacksprat2178 It does say, in the notes at the top, that it just opened to the public.
@@bitbugsbyte Could it be this one? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porta_Maggiore_Basilica
Great
Sofia, in Bulgaria is pretty much the same
Imagine the Possibilities around the World? 😉
The reporter with the short hair at end was not looking for any small talk. Lol.
Rome has many secrets.
Wow
Is it just me or he goes out of breath, Bahsilocahhh
Many Romans wonder just how much excavation can be dug up and unearthed under this hugely populated city.
They knew this stuff exist.
They were probably curious after assassins creed
Of course, they probably had to remove all the artifacts from there before it was opened to the “public”
His-story go to Rome . Archeology go to Mexico! My opinion of course
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ 🙏 and mother Mary
That last comment. What a tool he is.
Lmao like they did to indigenous "history" lmao
mic Smith I don’t get it....
@@nsr5961 its about "religious" cults destroying other cultures and rewriting history to enslave people(s).
This wasnt build by the romans It was already there when romans found it
only rome has this special curiosities of the past.but there are also other more ancient cities older than rome but no interest at all..maybe rome will someday be rebuilt in the future od europe again..since its the only ancient world power thats never been conquered by another power..
they wont tell you what pagan ''gods'' they worshipped underground ...read the Bible...
That's a pagan basilica, it has no relation to Christianity. The basilica was simply a type of building in ancient Rome that was later borrowed by Christians for churches
