Happy Sunday Adanna. So happy for you. There is nothing like being home surrounded by your people. Enjoy this new season of your life🤗

Nigeria is the beginning and the heart of our people..I'm Jamaican but I say welcome home!!!!🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Likl but Talawa!
Every black person doesnt originate from naija.
@@AyeshaDeuxtu Many African Americans have ties to Nigeria - 20% of the enslaved Africans shipped to the English American colonies were Igbo - due to them surviving longer than other Western/Central/Southern Africans. There are articles discussing why so many African Americans have Nigerian ancestry. Plus there are several places in the States relating to Igbo. There is an Igbo village in Virginia and a place called Igbo Landing in Georgia.
I am Jamaican 🇯🇲 too and I would love to visit Nigeria 🇳🇬 one of these days.
Oh I totally feel you Adanna. Having been living in US since my teenage years it has taken such a toll on my mental health. Basically battling anxiety and depression but pushing it down because you can’t afford to stop and rest in this country.
I am always watching videos of people in Nigeria and try to “live” through them. There is really no place like home and I can’t until the time is right to visit 😓
Same. Same.

Sorry
Hi Adana. I’m Jamaican, and you saying what you said it’s like you’re reading my mind.
I’ve been battling depression and anxiety for over 17 yrs, and when I go home it’s like I’m a new revived person that feels alive and vibrant. Thanks so much for opening up
Hello it is sooooooooooo true
💯💯💯💯💯
So True
Me too as a Jamaican in France.
Yes Andrea, I too, here in the US and definitely heading back to yaad. This is not it!
Thats how it is. We have our issues here in Nigeria, but really, we'd rather be home, thats why we are fighting for a better Nigeria. We love Nigeria where ever we are, and we do know how to extend that to others, na the govt dey do us forget.
Plus, Nigeria is sweet when you have money, and thats the honest truth. However, even those wo money still find ways to enjoy life, Nigeria and her people find way to make things work regardless of economic circumstances.
I'm just happy that you've found peace namie❤
100% agree. I'm of Mauritanian descent, born and raised in France, and I think we underestimate the effects of being a minority in the West. Africa is GREAT if you have money, my goal is to build a career and go live there in a few years iA. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I really wish i could live there but 9ja wahala is way tooo much. You couldn't pay me to live there. Each time i return, things are way worse. Abeg, i go stay for obodoyibo
@@chokochat As long as you geh money, you're covered. So no fear🤣
@@chokochat 🤣🤣🤣
@@chokochat Aswear you're not serious yet. Stay where you are and happily a slave. People like you compare developing Nigeria and 245 years United States 🇺🇸
I spent a little less than 2years in England with my family, came back home to Nigeria and literally appreciated it more and better, even our crazy flaws and imperfections suddenly seemed like a blessing to me😊. Worse for us while there were the racism thing, the health and educational system. I pray God fixes the corruptions and insecurities in my Nigeria though, Amen🙏
This brought tears to my eyes because you never truly know how depressed you can be sometimes because you become so complacent with the way you're living but God will open your eyes up and bring happiness to your soul! I love you and I love watching you and you have given me so much confidence into doing my own hair and it has changed my life. Thanks for being so transparent!!!!
I am from Kenya. I would totally love to visit Nigeria and probably make friends from there someday....Looks like such an interesting country with interesting people like Adanna 😊
There’s no place like home. When I moved away from home I became severely depressed. I moved back and it was the best decision.
Awww 🥺🤗❤️
I moved to Canada for school. I lived there for 4 years and returned home in 2016. Home is where the heart is. I can definitely relate the the mental struggles faced while living abroad.
I so much love ur comment,my African people will think one is out of his sense
@@abiolaoluwadamilolaakande4490 I'm actually from a small island in the Caribbean but they too will think I'm mad to return home so it's very similar
Living abroad is an achievement to some people

So much fun!!! Honestly, home is “COMFORT” and “PEACE”

I can relate, since I came back to Nigeria I've been soo happy and just free
Adanna, I believe your laughter and your joy are contagious.I began to watch your videos due to the miracle transformations performed on each of them hair wise. Any of your viewers are taught tips but also have a good time watching it because of your laughter and probably because of who you are, authentic, genuinely happy.
Keep going and keep being authentic, this is needed in this world 🌍 nowadays.
Count your blessings and just enjoy them! God bless you more!
Listening to you speak your joy brings me joy! Your mental well being drives your physical health and you don’t have to move away from love and support to be successful! May God continue to bless you!🥰🥰🥰
I moved to UK and depression is so real!🤦🏽♀️
I'm Sudanese and at first I thought it would be best to move to Canada due to the beautiful environment ,wild life and bigger homes. However my husband wants to start a business in Chad,Africa so I will go there and see how it goes. Thank you for this video.. I love ur accent and you are very beautiful:)
I need to live outside the United States and see if I miss it. Born in a country as a black woman who have never felt like the US is my home, because I've never felt accepted by this country. Yes, I had a good life and I credit that to the most high God and not to America. And I know people from other countries whom the most High has blessed and for some reason Americans think they're the only one blessed.
I'm a US African American woman and can tell you, my visit to Africa (Nigeria) was spiritually mind blowing. Every African American person should visit Africa! I don't want to spoil the highlight of the trip, my awakening because you need to experience it directly. It was so soulful. Hopefully you get a chance to go.
I lived abroad for seven years and you miss the convenience of home 100%. It’s difficult to live abroad for multiple reasons but I loved it! Especially as an African American we have no other “home” outside the states per se. But I’m definitely retiring outside of the country
The last line.
If you decide to move to Africa, I recommend Cape Town South Africa. Look up videos of Americans that moved there, I believe you might love it there..
@@bartrese , so true. We have “no” home. Nowhere we can return to and it is heartbreaking. Like you I’ve been toying with the idea of retiring out of the country when the time comes .

I'm glad you're happy with your move to Nigeria, listening to you talk about it as well as that background music made me emotional.

Welcome back home my dear. No place like home as we know. Nigeria is amazing and a peaceful place to live. I started going to Nigeria every year since 2020 amd I haven't looked back. Even during the Pandemic I was still going despite paying heavily for test and taking Covid Vaccines and all sorts because I needed to unwind myself. So I am happy for you ☺ 😊 🙂

Nigeria has always been on my mind! It’s depressing being abroad with no community culture. U don’t even know your neighbors name. Once I feel I’m settled enough then I’m off. In America we literally exist! No time to actually stop and rest! All u do is work work work! No life and people talk about retirement, same retirement people come out from to work because they can’t even afford their mortgage and other expenses. Nahhh I can’t wait to finally move

It's amazing how most in these countries think that we come from nothing and are so happy to live on their land. Yes it is a choice that we make but the struggle is real. The mental beating that we go through is unbelievable. Kudos to you for looking within yourself and being strong enough to put yourself first. May you continue to be blessed.
Im just curious, why do you move here to North America? No shade intended- just trying to learn😊
@MT,
Well I’m from 🇯🇲 Which is in *North America* as well and my family brought me here(🇺🇸) cause it’s better opportunities. Most of us came as children(who had no choice).. I lived in zinc houses, and know what it’s like to drink sugar water w/bread and butter for dinner. It’s easier to succeed in a place where everything is at your disposal. You can get free food, healthcare, etc, but where we from we don’t have those options. Ain’t no such thing as child support/spousal support/tax returns. Y’all education is trash but it’s def better opportunities here. Fun fact:Most of us are here to get the dough and go back home..
It’s def a blessing to have that option of going back HOME to a place you’re familiar with family and other groups of friends..
@@almondbutter5238 thank you for the explanation, and I agree, our education system needs a COMPLETE overhaul😄. I'm African-America (bloodline mostly Nigerian, Khoisan, and European)-born and raised here in the United States; most of us are trying to leave lol.

They are a tribe from Southern African. I plan to visit that region one day soon. As a descendant of African slaves, it feels awesome to finally know my true ethnicity. I am trying to learn as much as I can. You all should be proud and count yourself blessed to know and have a true connection with your bloodline and your culture from birth😊.
May God continue to bless you with happiness 🙏🏽
