How do you get the happy Halloween to print then cut, my letters cut out of the paper

Same happens to me? I'm not sure why it's doing it. I'm very new to crafting and have never made cards before.i tell ya it's been overwhelming just figuring what cut goes with what and where lol

Just out of curiosity, why not cut the top black piece from the skirt out of the pink / purple layer, to save card, as it is black underneath? Is it for ease of positioning?
