2016 SKECHERS Friendship Walk

Started in 2009 by SKECHERS President, Michael Greenberg, the Pier to Pier Friendship Walk has raised over $7 million to support children with special needs and public education. Today, the SKECHERS Friendship Walk is the largest charity event in California that supports these two causes; with over 12,000 participants joining for SKECHERS’ signature charity event in 2016 alone.
Funds raised from the Walk support The Friendship Foundation, an organization that assists children with special needs and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational programming - as well as funding education foundations to retain vital academic programs, maintain smaller class sizes, improve libraries, and upgrade school technology.
