Damn, I completely underestimated how high the skill ceiling of this game can be. I thought it was just gonna be dodge well and quickly use the skills on your characters, but seeing this makes me excited for running fully built teams of 3 and finding the best combos.

@@wowZheneknope, unfortunately no matter how much dmg you do, you can't outgear getting oneshot, even at max level, the high towers will 2 shot you and have obscenely high health.

ping doesn't matter since most stuff are client-side... but mobile and any input lags definitely would. It's still worth it for stuff like swapping out of Encore heavy attack though
@@byeguyssry yes ping does matter especially for people who don't have the greatest of internet(mine isn't bad by any means btw), the amount of times I got hit with "Reconnecting" or "Connection Error" is annoying, worse part is that I can still get hit, I've lost countless fights cuz of how bad it is. I've never seen connection issues this bad in ANY game I've played before.
Worse part of mobile is not the lag, it's the goddamn camera movement. I can't do stage 3 of experiment adversity since they keep setting my camera to a low angle every liberation while im too busy swap canceling 😭😭
You need to be cracked to do a perfect animation canceling with 3 characters on controller. 2 charactes felt a lot more realistic to perform consistently when I tried due to how akward Dpad is.
Best Verina cancel I found is - Heavy Attack and cancel it right after u see her starting it > E + Q and swap out. It all comes out in 1 second and u get the procs from her skills + heal set + you keep your stacks neutral as u spend a stack and regain one with her skill and you also get the buff from her Echo.
I actually did this entirely by accident last night while using Encore and holding heavy and needed heals from verina, then i noticed Encore was still on the field! Ever since then i kept doing it with other characters! Its great that on the next day i figured that out i see this video! Amazing explanation
From what others are saying. outro direct buffs from swap cancel are removed, even if the character stays on screen(CBT2 Patched). Now the hard requirement for outro buffs is pressing switch out.
it is still immensely useful to build up concerto in the first place and the buff removal restriction still allows for quickswapping between your sub and main dps during burst sequence.
@@dshearwf I mean example yinlin outro 14s buff > calcharo in > etc> heavy atk/ult heavyatk > swap cancel > swap back calcharo (no more outro buff) because yin lin outro buff is phrased like this "xxxxfor 14s, or until the character is switched off field.". in cbt2 calcharo will still have the outro buff after swap canceling. they now patched that now at launch during calcharo burst window which is after yinlin outro buff, you shouldn't swap cancel because you will lose that buff. outside of burst window it is still good. it is a bummer though that was removed and sort of another nerf for calcharo
But you can use this tech to build up concerto energy and fast combo buffs application. I play with bai×heal set and mortefy×energy set so last character in chain have 2 set buffs for 14s.
TY for the great guide. Just want to add that you can insert the turtle echo before your e, which takes up less than 0.08 seconds extra. So you can do Turtle echo -> e -> dash -> Heavy -> jump -> lb*3 -> pounce -> swap all in less than second.

The verina skill to dask cancel is probably the most crucial one since it takes alot of time for the animation to finish whilst your probably only using the skill to get more stacks.
Wow, I always do the ED/EQ for stacking Blossom and HA short-J N3 for fully heal. Impressive 1010 figure it out too. This is one of the best example for animation cancel he introduced in this video. Somehow I feel Verina midair Intro is so annoying.
I'm still adjusting to the fast-paced gameplay Encore provides with her enhanced HA and skill. Also having Verina just brings more excitement and dread.
please keep in mind there are instances when you DONT want to SWAP CANCEL. E.g. Any outro buffs, Lingering Tunes Set Bonus, Havoc Damage bonus from Rover. Maximising buff uptime will help efficiently clear :3

Knowing the Gatcha community mostly play in mobile, the damage adds UP. Hypothetically they are gonna balance things base on the average player base. So if youre skilled enough technically your fav character wont be power crept or takes a very long time to do so maybe pull for comfortability than actually needing to keep up with the damage check

Wouldn’t swap cancelling negate your single target buffer’s outro skills? For example Morteffi’s outro says “14 seconds or until the character is switched”, meaning for example you wouldn’t want to do any swaps during Jiyan’s Ultimate or you loose your 14% deepen. I do see it’s potential in getting everyone’s resonance up tho to set up for those intro/outro synergies
Those acronyms could be cleaned up pretty easily, you don't need to put C after all of them, the cancel is implied and isn't really anything extra, you're just jumping for example. E is also a default binding (my E is rebound to side mouse for comfortable danjin gameplay) and should probably be turned into an absolute reference such as R(esonance), Resonance Liberation could be RL or U(ltimate). Also while I am a fan of high skill and fast paced gameplay having to mash the keyboard constantly against damage sponge enemies in future tower levels sounds like future wrist pain. Wondering if finding an optimized key layout is going to be important here
1 more thing about verina. when you in conbat with your main dps and jump then swap to verina mid air she will perform an auto attack without you have to do anything . So tldr char 1 jump> swap verina > and swap to the 2nd char. you can do this as long as you have the photosynthesis stack and depend on how frame you have.
I'm...not sure this can be done on mobile specially cause I'm not used to this type of gameplay and the game gives me higher ping (it's not my wifi it's just this game) but good to know, I'll implement this at half the speed 😅
It still is since the skill floor is still relatively low as far as action rpg type games are concerned. However, the skill ceiling is noticeably higher than say Genshin for example. I would say this is a casual friendly game that has mechanics that will also interest high mechanical skill players.
What kinda gacha game would succeed if it doesn't appeal to the casual audience? WW can be played by casual players as well because you don't have to animation cancel your moves to beat the story quest and even the bosses in this game. Stuff like this will probably be essential only for end game content like the tower

Play in dps window phases, use swap to build gauge to just before it fills on each character then outroswap in a 3 2 1( 3 healer 2 sub 1 dps) now the whole time can be spent making use of a full buff window on main dps, note that verinas buff stays on all characters

I’m sure that this is false. The current tower of adversity is quite easy (excluding the hazard zone). However, it’s due to the difference in level between the characters and the mobs that we struggle. At most, dash canceling is all that is needed from this video. Yet, I’m sure most players already dash cancel unintentionally when they are attacked during a character’s wind up move. While swapping is an integral part of the game, swap canceling or the term he uses “forward swap canceling” is simply a technique that gives a slight advantage at the fatigue of one’s own fingers (exaggeration). These different combos are needlessly explained in a complex way when a simple rotation from a support’s outro skill such as Verina is all that is needed. Make rotations off the outro skills of your team. That’s as complicated as the combat is, which isn’t as intricate as people construe it. This is not to disparage the combat as even I think that the combat system engages its players with its dodge and counterattack mechanic, but this video gives the illusion that combat system has more depth than it really does since have of the stuff he is spewing in this video is unnecessary in actual gameplay. Dodge, counterattack, know your rotations.
@@namdo7451 fair points ngl, I tried swap cancelling after this vid and only noticed that even though it does provide a benefit it’s not too apparent. Dodging and parrying seems to still be the most important factor of combat other from rotations.

Leveling up and getting good echoes can only get you so far until you actually need to try and use skills to beat the current endgame stuff available.
It feels like The Trio combo in HI3rd but much more well done. Kuro do have some gripe on HYV I guess lmao. also I now understand why Chixia is pretty bad (I used her as my only dps, cleared many hard contents so I thought she was pretty decent. I really like her kits way more than rectifier :/)
So I want to ask something: I notice you are using beta footage. Can you confirm whether this still works? I noticed how some animations that used to keep going after switching no longer does so, most prominently with few echoes, such as Crownless, and both Tempest and Thundering Mephis. If I switch characters while using the echo skills, the echos get cancelled immediately. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it was actually changed during the full release.
No. No you don’t. Just dodge when you are getting attacked in the middle of the move. Thats all you need from the video. Just know your characters’ outro skills and build a simple rotation from there. You do enough damage if you just build your characters and level them up. Currently the only reason why people are hitting a wall in the endgame is because of the level difference due to how recent the game came out. Once you’re adequate level then all you really need to do is dodge and parry.
Gonna need another one like this but with cancellable echo skill, cuz when i use heron into insta swap the skill goes on cd and the attack disappears but in your vid there was a clip of it working, dunno if it was changed on release or not
As much as I appreciate these techs, this much technique for something so cool is a mistake/missed opportunity by Kuro. They were on the right track with Intro and Outro, but they needed to push it just a bit further to always allow players to keep all 3 characters on field for a few seconds after intro.

use macros and have fun really nothing sweety one character is pooring and so weak.

is it just me or we can't swap out ouf Encore during her 'E' and get back to her later now? She just stops casting 'E' when I switch out.

@@namdo7451 fair points ngl, I tried swap cancelling after this vid and only noticed that even though it does provide a benefit it’s not too apparent. Dodging and parrying seems to still be the most important factor of combat other from rotations.

@@qwertysysysyysysysyzz yeh but it’s gonna be a while till anyone reaches level 40 so that means your characters are gonna be stuck on 60 for a while. Leveling up and getting good echoes can only get you so far until you actually need to try and use skills to beat the current endgame stuff available.

I notice you are using beta footage. Can you confirm whether this still works? I noticed how some animations that used to keep going after switching no longer does so, most prominently with few echoes, such as Crownless, and both Tempest and Thundering Mephis. If I switch characters while using the echo skills, the echos get cancelled immediately. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if it was actually changed during the full release.

No. No you don’t. Just dodge when you are getting attacked in the middle of the move. Thats all you need from the video. Just know your characters’ outro skills and build a simple rotation from there. You do enough damage if you just build your characters and level them up. Currently the only reason why people are hitting a wall in the endgame is because of the level difference due to how recent the game came out. Once you’re adequate level then all you really need to do is dodge and parry.

Gonna need another one like this but with cancellable echo skill, cuz when i use heron into insta swap the skill goes on cd and the attack disappears but in your vid there was a clip of it working, dunno if it was changed on release or not

As much as I appreciate these techs, this much technique for something so cool is a mistake/missed opportunity by Kuro. They were on the right track with Intro and Outro, but they needed to push it just a bit further to always allow players to keep all 3 characters on field for a few seconds after intro.
