Because, the voltage terminal of the Wattmeter is connected with 300 V and current terminals are in 5 A position. The full scale deflection or maximum position of the scale is 750 Watt. The multiplying factor (MF) is (Voltage × Current)/Full Scale Deflection in watt = (300×5)/750 = 2. So we have to multiply 2 with the reading observed in the Wattmeter.
