This is sort of a short and lazy vlog, but a win is a WIN! 🏆 Not only did I delete accidentally delete some of my footage (again), I did a terrible job at vlogging while I was in Florida with my family. 🤦🏽♀️ Sheesh... next time, for sure! I went to the cutest event - Kicks Over Brunch - hosted by one of my favorite online communities, Kicks & Fros and gave you guys a few tips for getting invited to and attending influencer events. 👟 I also worked away from home on a cute solo lunch date, which I haven't had the opportunity to doing a while. Definitely going to make it a weekly thing again. 🙌🏽 I spent a some time with my family in Florida, but as soon as I got back to Atlanta I was the start muse in a video shoot to highlight the talent and skill of one of the dopest MUA's I have ever met, Grace. 🥰

As someone whose job it is to invite creators/influencers to events I will say something I am noticing is that MANY smaller creators are missing opportunities because they do not have their email linked anywhere! Now, because I am very dedicated to getting as many of us into these spaces, I will search all over to find folks emails but I know MANY of my colleagues will not. I'll also add onto your point of the importance of the recap content--MAKE AS MUCH RECAP CONTENT AS YOU CAN and also, EMAIL it to their pr or social team. Seriously, when people email me content they've made on behalf of the brands I work for--I add them to a list to be invited to brand activation and events. I cannot stress enough though the importance of having your email easily available. PLEASE like creators with 40k plus will have their email in the most obscure place and for that very reason they won't be invited.

I never thought about paying for events lol please give us more tips as you think of them! I work in PR and im a content creator and im scared to introduce myself. Could you give tips on how you approach introducing yourself/ who to connect with
Hey girl! Yeah, if tickets are being sold, why not? 🤷🏽♀️ I usually have a better experience interacting with ppl online and then meeting them in person. For example, I’d connect with other creators in my field on instagram, then we’d actually meet in person at said event. Follow ppl who have the same interests in you and e-connect with them for an easier in-person transition.

Hey girl heyyyy!! Your always giving great advice on networking to grow while creating content and I feel like that is super difficult for me because I tend to be very quiet but I’ve been trying to stay consistent with my content and come out of my shell 💜
Hey girl! 💕 I'm so glad you enjoy my advice. I need to start giving more, especially for girls who are a little more shy. I'm quite shy myself. I can vlog and create content at home alone (with my dog lol) but when other people are around or I'm out in public, I find it a little challenging. It does help to shamelessly plug yourself and just pretend you're the only one watching. You got this!

I will also add that y'all really should not sleep on linkedin--go and research and find the brands you want to work with teams; go find their team and start pitching, tagging and following them on social media. One of my first PR jobs for a big brand happened because I found their previous PR person's email and literally asked her to help me and told her why I knew I could fill her position and do the job well. Don't sleep on LinkedIn
