When you put the syrup on I thought the chicken looked dry. Then you confirmed it I was shocked. Breast meat has very little fat so you can't overcook it. Also the batter has to hold in the moistness. Were you tempted to return it since it might have not been prepared fresh?

I disagree. Breast meat tends to cook very dry. Fat is actually what gives the meat flavor. Which is why I love thigh meat to make strips
