Looks like a great adventure. Desert rivers are special

I watch the video from Moscow and it looks as sping rivers in our region. It's amazing to skate on by shuffle surface and feel power and speed of flow. I love it

@orlovconst8961 exactly the energy is incredible. This 2023 year I did this more amount of snow fell to the north in our high elevation places than normal years and it was Spring melt combined with rains this year creating very high flows. It's as you say how it works here too, snow melts in Spring sending the rivers and creeks up 👍

@@TheCenterfocus I like to break ice by my sup on my winter routes. It is always dangerous you have chance to be bellow ice and captive there, but works as magnet.... The sound, the sense... Cool.

Anyone who has never paddled this river and particularly this stretch should listen up at 9:10 😁👍This is my favorite part of the Verde btw! The transition into the Sonoran desert riparian habitat is just magical. The wildflowers, eagles, otters and other wildlife are incredible. That swim at 15:01 and tunnel/strainer 15:38 are more examples of the unpredictable circumstances this river leads you into 🤣 Dude thank you again for documenting this SO well. All my footage is from early model cameras that had limited battery life, lower resolution and minimal memory storage. So your footage is comparatively AMAZING!

@DouglasGreen562 you bet it really is amazing how technology I suppose really can allow some really cool sharing to go down. Having a gopro sure makes things doable. Just fun that others have done it like yourself and can relate to what it's like out there.

@@TheCenterfocus As rivers go, I suspect the Verde, especially the upper and the Mazatzal stretch has experienced fewer souls floating through than most. And even fewer if any at all have gone straight through the whole way and documented it like you have. So what's next? Gila? San Francisco?..Knee surgery?😁

@DouglasGreen562 it's definetly a river that in relation to other multiday day trips of its length really is relatively untraveled. It's pretty amazing to have here in Az. I have indeed been looking at gila, san fran, blue... that area of Eastern az really has some remote epic stuff

Run it couple of weeks ago. Team of two. Canoe + SE380X. Very low water - 200...250cfs. Three portages (including Nasty Little Dog). But fantastic Fall Colors!

@guntherultraboltnovacrunch5248 absolutely right and I just did Beasley to Brown Spring and it's lowest I've seen in a decade... grasses really closing channels. This was all filmed during the big winter in 2023 and it's just been taking me a long time to edit it bit by bit. At the start of the first episode I give a few minute rundown on when where what going on etc.... thanks for writing this though so folks understand this.
