And Allah forgives every servant who does not associate anything with Him, except for a man who has enmity with his brother. It will be said: 'Delay these two until they reconcile.'"

The following Quran verses scare me the most when I try to imagine the scenarios and prevent me from committing sins in private, and have even made me depressed number of times.
14:50
Their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered by the Fire

And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they say, Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.
7:50-51
And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of Paradise, Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allāh has provided you. They will say, Indeed, Allāh has forbidden them both to the disbelievers
Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded. So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses.
43:47
And they will call, O Mālik, let your Lord put an end to us! He will say, Indeed, you will remain.

But just a notice: Quran should not make you depressed . It is a warning for you to get away from evil and also a tiding for you to do good.
So you have to have both Fear from Allah, and hope for Allah's mercy
@@SillyTubereal so it's helping you avoid committing evil doing which is a blessing in disguise for you to be grateful for not be depressed or stressed. How many of the disbelievers die day in day out without any fear for their evil ways but you are still alive and fearing their kind of fate. Akhi just say all praises and glory be to Allah!
The way to stop the habit of sinning (both major and minor) is to first of all know that Allah is watching you and secondly know that every sin you do no matter how small the sin may seem remember that you will have to stand Infront of Allah who is the lord of the seven heavens and the earth and all that exists and you will have answer to him on a day about which there is no doubt.
When you are in your graves all you can do is regret the sins you have done but once your in your grave you can't repent anymore. As Allah says in surah muminoon
And when death comes to one of them he says lord send me back so that I may do good deeds that I left behind.
So imagine if you die while doing a sin/without repenting from the sin. That is indeed a terrible ending. May Allah guide us and forgive our sins

whenever I wanted to commit a sin, I try to hold myself back by saying to myself that it's not worth it to sacrifice my Jannah (far better and eternal) for some temporary pleasure and possibly getting tormented in hellfire forever, no matter how small the possibility is, I prefer not to take that chance, because sin will lead to another sins, dont follow the footsteps of shaitan, today you might just chatting with her, 2 months later you might have fallen into zina that made it harder for you to come back to the straight path, so dont underestimate any sins, no matter how small it is, a lot of us falling into sins because we underestimate it, dont fall into the traps of shaitan. Lastly, always remember that this life is a test. hope this helps.

Two things that will help Inshallah.
1. Always keep company with the pious and stay away from the sinners. You may not realize it, but being with people who deliberately sin can be very detrimental to your life.
2. Nobody for sure knows when their death will come. What if Allah decreed you will live for 80 years, but then because you may have committed a sin, he changed his decree so you would die on that night or the next day?
So think carefully and sit with the pious, the scholars, and learn from them.
Often times we have this bad tendency. At 20 I'll do whatever I want, then when I become 60 or 70 years old, I'll become a super religious guy. Besides the fact that you don't know whether your taking lightly approach would result in Allah totally rejecting your deeds, how do you know whether you will live till that long?
First you have to learn about Allah greatness mercy and to love him. That one might work.
Yes but his mercy is only there for those that turn back and repent after sin.. not those that deliberately sin and continue to sin with no remorse. For such a person they should be warned of the torment and punishments that await them..
"They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me." Quran 39:16

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.(minor sins)
