  • Hello friends!
After filming this video I realized that I'm not the best teacher and I also realized that the methods I used isn't as fool proof as I first thought. But hopefully you will still learn something from this video - and if not, I hope that you will at least get a good laugh at all my mistakes!

This wasn’t a fail at all! You’re too hard on yourself, and actually, I think you’re an amazing teacher and explain your methods, steps, and tips so well. I love mixing shades to get grungy tones when there aren’t any in a palette. Great idea for a video!

You're so kind, thank you so much for being so encouraging to me! I really appreciate it and I think I just need to have a better structure when I'm trying to teach something! I agree that mixing grungy shades are the best! :D

I agree. You did a great job and I didn’t think your colors looked muddy. I could see them changing on my screen as I watched you blend them which emphasized everything you were teaching.

Thank you so much, my friend! I try to mix up my content so it's not only consumerism based.

This was great, I think anyone just getting into makeup or anyone that is afraid of experimenting will benefit from this information. I try not to mix colors too much but sometimes you have to in order to get what you are looking for, even when you have 50 palettes 😂🥰

Ok first of all I say dab sometimes to pickle theres nothing wrong with that word, it’s definitely an acceptable word to use to describe that method!!! 💯 I also think being able to mix shades says a lot about the quality of an eyeshadows formula, if your mixing shades from the same palette & they’re not mixing well to me that’s not a good sign so this is very very useful for people who don’t mix usually and go and grab another palette instead!! I also loved the point you made about people who don’t have a lot of palettes when I started out experimenting with colour centuries ago 😬🤣 I had one maybe two palettes back then and that’s when I started to experiment with mixing shades. This was great hun very Informative and I live for the bloopers 😂❤

Oh, maybe dab wasn't the worst word choice then, haha? XD I found it weird when I started to edit the video, but thank you so much for confirming that you also use it! Glad you enjoyed the video and found it interesting

Hi ! Very much needed and great video !!!!
I think you did a fantastic job making the neutral makeup with the anaconda palette, it just said it all and was the perfect intro for this explanation !
I often take the shades with my fingers and mix them on the back of my hand then apply with my finger also, I feel I have more control on the color outcome and layering this way.

Thank you so much, I'm glad that you found the video educational. I feel like I'm bad at explaining because I'm improvising a lot. Do you mix mattes on the back of your hand too? I do it with shimmers sometimes! Thank you for the great reminder.

Excellent video. I've only did this to use pinks & make it not look pink 😂. I need to get myself a color wheel. I'm also feeling the urge to go count my palettes now 🤔. I also would say dab instead of tap, their interchangeable in my head.

    • @sminkberoende
      @sminkberoende  6 місяців тому +1

Haha, did you manage to mix the colours so it didn't end up looking pink? I haven't counted my palettes in a hot minute, but I know that it's a excessive amount for just one person. How interesting that you also would say "dab", because when I googled it while editing, it did seem like it was more like a thing you say when you touch water?

I think also geographically things are said differently. In the US down south they typically say soda or soda pop in my area up north its just pop. People I met visiting my sister down south talked slow & we talk kinda fast. I do adore the accent my sister acquired in her 30+ years living down there.

I think in both instances I added green to kill the pink. I think on IG one look was Oden's Eye Hela palette it turned it more brown. The other time I think it was with your Forest Heart palette & it looked more reddish & turned out stunning. There are a lot of times I passed on a palette because they had several pinks but now at least I know I can at least get some use out of them. I feel comfortable blaming this on my mom 😂. I was her 4th girl & I think she was ready to see any color but pink on me.😊

So interesting that you're so against pink! I guess we all have colours we don't love on ourselves, but I still use most of them 😂 It's so cool that you found a way to mix them though 😍

It's almost comical to me, I actually went 2 years without watherproof mud boots because I couldn't find a womans size without pink. Living in a muddy area that was a feat. Now I have a pair in black & white pattern and a pair purple.
