Still a great video. Bring me back to high school when I was watching this and was very inspired.
These guys are the 'motivation'.
Bunch of great guys! Thanks for re-sharing Jason.
One of the best video I watched about running.
Such an inspirational video!
Congratulations!! Qualifying for Boston is a very prestigious goal. Train smart, race hard, and have fun. That's the whole purpose of this sport.
If you haven't failed you haven't won. Failure is not wrong and not shame. What is shameful is giving up after failure. Keep on trying until you win - you will never lose - you will either boost your energy or you win and boost your energy...! You are always a winner.
Needed to watch a video like this. A lot of passion and heart in here. 3 months until Columbus Marathon, time to buckle down.
Good luck, I hope everything goes well.:)
Just completing a marathon is daunting. trying to put into words how hard it is or what its like to complete one...well you have to experience it to understand. The people going to Olympic trials are machines; just awesome!
Love the video. Great production, great insights. Thank you for sharing this.
Such an inspiration
Dang... one of my new favorite videos
I'm training for my third marathon now and the speed of these guys amazes me. Great video
Absolutely yes.
Very humble from Carlson saying he would sometimes get smoked by the others, since he was the fastest by far in the trials. Good job!
I was rooting for you guys, am sorry..really. But you're all awesome!
My last marathon was in 1986, and training for one Dec 2012. I'm just trying to break 4 hours, I know I'm too old and slow to ever run 3 hrs again, but thats ok, I just want to have that feeling of running the last mile of one again. There is nothing like it when you're in the last mile and KNOW you're going to do it. The feeling never leaves you. And in the weeks ahead, when I go through a bad phase, I'll remember what the coach said, "you go through good patches and bad, its normal."
Awesome video!! I've run the Twin Cities marathon and the Minneapolis Marathon. Beautiful City to run in!!
The pace is incredible. Very impressed!
This is very inspiring indeed, and it DOES NOT matter if they won or not.
My first marathon time - 3:04:13 and its so slow comparing with this guys !
Roman Ushakov still a really good time for a first

Wow! I can't believe that. I really have to get my joggershoe back on and get in the game. Thanks for the inspiration!
+Roman Numeral Orange This is the same condition with me right now. I also left this awesomeness a year back. But now I want it back. :)
Rest and recovery also comes into place. There will be certain workouts that may be targeted @ Marathon goal pace but your legs won't feel it that day. But I totally agree with the fact that they can work on lots of other things to ensure a better race.
The guy with the orange top is like the tail of the group! Great video!
Great video
Great film!
Very inspiring video
Fantastic! Good luck from Tennessee. Hank Brown
they look like sprinting...
B E A UTIFUL!
I can't believe one of those guys are using Saucony Kinvara 4's I went through two pairs of those in my senior XC season and we averaged 50-60 miles a week.
Yea that was like a 200 mile shoe.
Keep in mind these guys are sponsored... They can get new shoes whenever they want.
Crazysniperman hi there, i am presently doing around 20-26 miles a week. how long would it take me to do 50-60.
I am actually training for a marathon so my average has gone up; but what I do and it's different for everyone when it come to increasing mileage. I add one mile to my runs per week and I usually run every day. For some people they cannot handle doing long distance runs everyday. You can alternate between one day of running and the next you do core and hip strengthening. Your body will adapt to the intensity but take it slow or you can hurt yourself, which will just set you back.
Great videos. I love to run with them.
Very helpful. Thanks.
Various things. One could be as simple as keep doing what you're doing, sometimes people continue to improve on the same regimen.
Another possibility could be upping the intensity of the training, more workouts, faster workouts, etc.
Another would be shifting workout focus, perhaps more long endurance work around MP, or more short speed work at speeds of 10k pace or faster.
The list goes on, so the idea is that yes there is definitely plenty of things they can keep trying to get better.
amazing tenacity!
Great bgm 😃
It is said that the Marathon is split into 2 halves: the first half is 20 miles and the second half is the last 10K. If you run those first 20 miles too fast/hard, that last 10K will be the most miserable and demanding 6 miles of your life. The race is decided in that last 10K; some will hit the wall hard and suffer drastic pace change while others will commit and persevere to the end.
I’ve run in the exact same places that they are running in
You are are awesome ! Running like horses. Keep going.
Best music at the end
Andrew Carlson placed 6th and Jason Lehmkuhle placed 18th. Congrats, guys.

I just love to run!!
Hi, does anyone know that opening tune of this great video?
good luck guys even though I am Ryan Hall fan(you guys look the goods too compete
If they are already running 140mpw is there anything they can actually do with their training to increase their odds of making the team if they go again? Maybe like consistency I guess?
Wow
They run 140 miles a week? That's 20 miles per day. I can only do 14 miles 3 times a week hahaha! :)
Wait, so you do 42 miles a week but you only run 3 times? Have you ever considered increasing the frequency?
Inspired 😃
He is a 33:30 10k runner, so he would be looking at around 21:00 for 4 miles.
actually you can run it at a young age, i did mine at 13, the la marathon, but i believe you can only do it if you are in a team
I have marathon race tomorrow ...
Wish me luck
is it just me or does it look like these guys are heel striking
I can't look at these guys without thinking in the ironman triathletes... and for me, IM athletes rules.
What was the Olympic qualification? 2hrs 24min wasn't it?
Nice video.
Can you please list the songs?
