The tomato skin rose, boy did that take me back to my early days as a trainee chef. Once had to make 100 of them, 50 lemon baskets & 50 Van Dyke tomatoes. Not to mention 50 melon boats with sliced orange sails 😊😊Homemade items, going the extra mile. Showing the love and respect the owners have for the customers and for the food it's self. My favorite thing is the liver appetizer,cut into cubes, in some sort of a coating,and cooked pink,just love it,and I like almost all of the mezze,and another favorite is the Lahmacun,here they do a lot of fish dishes,and the cold stuffed mussels are great. 😊
Yes,yes,yes ...Greeno . Now your talking..It is deffo up there with Cappadocia in Kingston upon Thames for sure.... I would be there in a flash if it was closer to home. It is an addition to my list of places to visit... Quite a few little beauty's recently, that are very impressive for sure. Excellent value too. In fact,I think it was a steal at that price. BTW we really loved Hawksmoor, but would have prefered what you just had instead Just beautiful..Fab little gem .😋..💚.

OMDs ....that looks amazing, I love food from that region, I became friends with my barber who is Iranian (northern) and he invited me for food.....very similar to Turkish food.... fantastic
Great! Absolutely great. Having had a meat platter in an upmarket restaurant in Turkey, this was on a par. However, I sat down with a colleague and there was so much I took half of it home. The one thing I like about Turkish meal is there is always a basket of bread on the table and it always fresh and is replenished should it get emptied. Good choice Greeno, but you should have had a glass of Efes as well!

The food looked 10/10 great find and vlog Greeno. It’s a strange thing I prefer Turkish restaurants over here in UK more than Turkish restaurants actually in Turkey Icmeler which is our fave Turkish destination small portions appalling hygiene in restaurants but lush beach hotels and weather. That looked quality food mouth watering watching. Yourself and Gary eats are smashing it with these reviews 👏
Never done a holiday in Turkey, always think the extreme summer heat will be a killer for me. I did a day trip to Bodrum once from a holiday in Kos, walked around a market flogging knockoffs, ate a kebab, drank an Efes and that was about it! Was about 25 years ago!

Ah, glad you got to try Meram. We're booked to go soon. It used to be DrgnFly which was also fab but had to close suddenly. I recognise some of the interior decor! Really looking forward to our visit.
Yes, Drgnfly did close very suddenly - and without paying their staff too I heard. Not great. These folk at Meram seem to have their act together though!!

Well what a great lunch for Mrs. Greeno and yourself. I was salivating watching that huge platter of goodness. The dips looked great and the salad. The bread looked fresh and of a great texture. That meal definitely deserved your score. 🥙🥗🍚🍗🥩🍖Yum yum.

I do agree with you by the end of the meal, initially I was shocked by the prospect of paying £48 for lunch for two...that is until I saw what you got😮!. Wow now that's enough for 4 meals for me!.So on the basis of quality I just cannot fault it and yes when you get that amount of good food it's worth it😅
That looked great - easily enough for me the wife and kids. Lam ribs are very underrated. Imagine having the Turkish breakfast that Garyeats had followed by this in the evening.
After that disappointing BBQ in your last review, it's nice to get something top notch like that. It really makes a difference being homemade and lovingly so by the family that runs it, it really makes it taste better. Glad you both got to enjoy it, I have rarely had Turkish food but I will check it out again, just looked so so good.
It was chalk and cheese between this and the BBQ joint. Everything here prepared in house - they even do most of their own butchery to ensure the meat is cut how they want it to be - all the sauces made in house - and the baklava made by the waiter's Mum. Compared to stuff made off site and reheated on site - no competition!!

The dips really made the meal, so flavoursome, allowing you to change the flavour profile all the time through the meal.

After that disappointing BBQ in your last review, it's nice to get something top notch like that. It really makes a difference being homemade and lovingly so by the family that runs it, it really makes it taste better. Glad you both got to enjoy it, I have rarely had Turkish food but I will check it out again, just looked so so good.
It was chalk and cheese between this and the BBQ joint. Everything here prepared in house - they even do most of their own butchery to ensure the meat is cut how they want it to be - all the sauces made in house - and the baklava made by the waiter's Mum. Compared to stuff made off site and reheated on site - no competition!!

Love Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately my favorite buffet closed and their 2nd restaurant is far from me. Everything looked great! Nice video.
Ah that's a shame - I think the flavours of Middle Eastern cuisine are as good as anywhere!!

Sensational. Really like good Turkish or west/central Asian food and this looks an absolute treat. Very well priced as well compared to over here. That is a top quality bargain in your local neighbourhood. Fantastic - would indulge there on a regular basis if I were you.
