ANIMAL FUN FACTS:
1) When a cheetah is born, it has white and black stripes on its back, which makes it seem like a skunk. This prevents predators from attacking the cheetah cub, as no one likes to mess with a smelly skunk. The stripes disappear as the cub grows older.
2) Honey is made from bee 'vomit'. The nectar is ingested from a flower by a worker bee, who goes back to its hive. There, it spits the nectar into the mouth of another, which spits it into another bee's mouth and this continues until a certain point. This is done because their stomach consists of a special enzyme which helps in thickening the nectar. The last bee spits it out into the spaces in the hive where they flap their wings to thicken the honey further. It is then collected by humans.
3) Orangutans can make their own medicine by chewing a special type of leaf (eucalyptus, maybe?). It is often given by the mother to the baby when they are sick. The mother chews the leaf and spits it into the baby's mouth for easy digestion.
4) Underneath the sea, on the seabed there are volcanoes that emit a lot of heat. Special types of animals live here.
5) Caracals can jump to extreme heights and often enjoy eating chickens.
6) Kangaroos are great boxers and fighters. Their legs are extremely powerful. They can even balance on their tail to kick someone.
7) Elephants like to cool off in mud on hot days.
8) Male seahorses give birth to babies.
