- LEGO sent me a box to test out the Build Together option in the instructions app - this could totally replace game night! Please forgive the terrible camera angles and views of my building room floor and extension cords. I'm obviously terrible at filming with faces in front of the camera 😂. It was actually a fun bonding time with my daughter Millie, we might prevent her from entering her LEGO dark ages yet!
If you've just dropped by, I'm Ellie! Lego is an artistic medium and no matter your building expertise there is something here for everyone. Stick around and I'll build for you while I review new sets and create my own customs (MOCs). I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. I'm easily distracted so things can get a bit hectic, but I'm sure you're down for that.

Theres no way thats Millie. Wow. Just shows how time flies. I used to be SUCH a big fan when i was younger and i decided today to come back and see if the channel was still going and what was happening. It's literally just like i remember it. But i know its not. I remember watching you playing with Millie on a game where you were in a weird house and could interact with everything and make potions, it feels like just yesterday i was watching you make a Modern Rapunzel Apartment. Thank you for making my childhood Ellie. Im back now and i don't think I'll be leaving anytime soon. 💞

😂 Marty and I just laughed and laughed, you're a fantastic duo. We build with a similar vibe here - I'm a stickler for the instructions and Martin quickly moves everything around into contortionist poses. You've reminded me we have that little unicorn (/seahorse/bird?) creator set that I bought over the school holidays and forgot about so we'll try the builder app out for that.
It's so funny there's an app for this now - when Paul and I were young (lol) we used to build Lego together all the time (big sets like those Star Wars ones with stands that take about 10 hours to make), but we usually do a few pages of one person finding pieces and the other building, then swap after a bit, so I like how the app means you can *both* be building at the same time. We have tubs of mostly grey and white somewhere that *someday* I'll sort (since we are *not* attached to them and Star Wars sets from 15 years ago are probably better investments than...most other investments by the looks). Nowadays there's a lot more colour and creativity and it's awesome!
Yes! Why is it that they feel that all the joints need to be tested to the max 😂?
😂 I know right, in my head I call it toddler testing, even though Marty (and Millie!) hasn't been a toddler for a long time!

I used to build lego with my mum all the time, and it really brought us closer together! Also Millie's face when you said "slay" was hilarious. As an older teenager myself, I understand the feeling of mum trying to use the same words that we do. We pretend we hate it, but on the inside, we love it 😍 All the love from England xx

This video makes me miss My Playhome! It was my favourite series on UA-cam - I remember being on holiday and sneaking my mum's phone to check if another video had been uploaded while I was away! And then I begged my mum to get me My Playhome so that I could play myself. I used to pretend I was playing with you and Millie. And I drew pictures and things. Even did comic strips (of mediocre quality) of Millie and Me adventures that I imagined myself - included Millie selling the six babies in a yard sale and buying a rocket with the money, taking you on a galactic adventure against your will. Don't ask me why!

Ellie and Millie look like they could be sisters. Kids grow up so fast. I didn't realized TLG finally switched to paper bags. I feel like this could've been done via the PDFs without an app but maybe I'm just old fashioned.
I prefer using the pdf option on my iPad when I build but the interactive options give you the chance to turn the build around and see it from different angles which can be useful.
Omg I haven’t watched your channel for two years or something and now I found it again this channel was my childhood I’m so happy I found your channel again, I used to watch the colour apartment buildings and then I watched the video when it got nocked down( that was very sad) and I also watched when you used clay and like painted and made mal and Evie and uma and all that into Lego, I.
