I bought such a bar for myself Core Sensor 3 Pro. At first I liked everything, but after a few rides the PowerLine sling was frayed. Where the center lines are attached with iron rings. And this is very Dangerous! Since with a sharp load, it can simply pull out the power lines! After a while, I decided to measure the length of the lines, and it turned out that the power lines were extended by 8 cm. This is the most expensive bar on the market, but the quality does not match the price. The slings are declared as the best, but in fact they do not differ from other cheaper manufacturers. When purchasing this Bar, be prepared for such surprises.
Hi! I am looking to buy a testbar since no-one has the pro available new. I am concerned because the retailer I am in touch with sent me photos of the bar and it has a cut on th rubber. They say it is common but this concerned me . Have you experienced this so far ? And If yes, then how long did the bar last with no issues at all ?
It does, same split point. Will work with Slingshot kites but higher split point will give slightest nose in tension. Many people happy with this crossing high vs low V’s but slingshot does have a lower V regularly. Can’t remember off hand but you may need a $20 set of pigtails to reverse the loop/knot
Serious safety issues with the Sensor 3s. Power lines can fray quickly, in just a dozen sessions) preventing the kite from flagging out. Power lines also snap one=ce the outer case has worn. Pleaase check your power line regularly where it slides through the rings. The problem is exacerbated by sand. Forum post with more info on the topic here: kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2408269
A large number of Sensor 3 control bars are in regular and demanding use worldwide. And so far, schools, team riders, and our employees have not reported excessive wear to the powerline sleeve. However, when it comes to safety, there is no room for compromise at CORE. A damaged SSF powerline sleeve should be replaced immediately. Your local CORE dealer will be happy to assist you. If you don't have anyone in your area, contact us directly at international@corekites.com, and we will deal with it promptly. Like all other control bar systems, you must check all bar components for unusual wear whenever you layout your lines. And if you find a worn line, sleeve, or part, then replace it immediately. If you have any questions about your CORE equipment, please contact us at service@corekites.com.
Sorry to hear you've had trouble with that. At this stage we've not come across this issue with any of the sizes. Always interested to hear everyone's experiences. Have you passed this info on to Core???

Best bar on the market by far. Hopefully core fix the wear issue about halfway up where the rings wear away the rope prematurely

Does this bar have a high-V, like the Sensor-2? And can it be coupled w/ Sling Shot kites??

Awesome until you release for example your 10m Nexus. Core Supportet single frontline is shit in some kite sizes (strong pull after release).

I’ve released it in 45knots seems safe to me, flagged to zero power straight away
In a few years a bar will cost you 1000+
there's a few out there now that have cracked the $1k mark! Hope you're getting plenty of water time!!!
