#10 was part of a show called Tomtesteron (after presentor Tom Waes) where he'd pick up these 'for dummies' books and then went out and actually did what the book said. While training for that fight, he also trained for swimming the English channel, learned aviation, survival skills, surveillance skills and several other things. Over the course of the three seasons of Tomtesteron, he successfully charmed a shark, climbed El Capitan, won a medal in body building, completed a long distance sled dog race, completed the Marathon des Sables, landed a boeing 737 and directed an symphonic orchestra. This boxing match was one of the challenges he lost ... can't win em all.
Agreed, I was expecting a blow out and now think maybe with a good strike coach and a couple of months he actually would stand a chance of winning in a standing bout.
The funniest part is at 4:40 is Mesha with the standing Guillotine to the skinny boy, not only that but lifting him off the ground makes it all the more hilarious and hearing him struggle to breathe is the icing on the cake. Surprised that he didn't pass out from the hold.
You could tell that guy wasn’t a pro Muay Thai fighter the second he stepped on the canvas with socks to spar. I’ve never seen a fighter wear just socks to spar.
It also wasn't a professional fight. It was an amateur bout. But yeah, I agree. Dude shaped up pretty well in the time he had to train, took it extremely seriously (it wasn't just a kindergartener's clown-around-in-the-gym birthday part like most buzzfeeders trying combat sports), and showed extreme amounts of heart even when all his coworkers were mocking his character. You gotta have respect for the guy, even if his opponent seemed... less than impressive. www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/442260-ssp-fight-night-44-aria-inthavong-vs-kasen-matsch
Yeah he's a little Buzzfeed douche, but gotta give credit where it's due. He's not even bad either considering he only trained a couple months. Then he showed a lot of heart by refusing to tap to that guillotine
Andrew Hartley was 1-13 as a pro going into this fight. But, even being one of the worst-ranked pros, there was a big difference between him and a deranged, untrained amateur like Zelenoff.
Number 7 isn't in this category, those U-tube guys did a whole segment on her and were very friendly and respectful. They knew they were going to get tossed around, the whole thing was just for fun. it wasn't like they were "challenging" her. Click bait.
They "challenged" her, but the "challenge" was to see how many times she could make them tap in a certain amount of time. If they thought they had a chance against her, they wouldn't have given her such a lopsided challenge.
Lol new fans doesn't know the dominance she had in literally all her fights before Holy Holm I think her biggest weakness is not her hands but her mind she had suicidal intentions after losing that fight but people really don't understand her dominance she had because they only seen her against Amanda Nunes
I think one of the biggest things that makes the difference, is how ridiculously fit these pro fighters are!! When I was in high-school, one of my friends was a boxer. He used to train every moment of free time he had. He used to run around the town we lived in back then, which was not a big town, but it had at the very least a 5 miles circumference. We were walking along the street where he would end up one day, and we waved him down to have a chat with him. Now bear in mind he just ran +- 5 miles, and he did not run slowly!! I swear he stopped and started talking to us, like he just got off the couch, watching tv for an hour!! He was not breathing heavily at all!!! I was like...WTF dude!!! Aren't you even a little tired?!? And he was like really confused looking, and just said, what do you mean?!? I've just started my warming up!! And he was Fcking serious!! And I believed him!! He was amazing!!! Years later, and my brother's son has been training for and participating in triathlons, all his life!! This kid, no kidding, rides his bike 60 miles to the town where his trainer lives, to warm up, then does his exercises, then rides back 60 miles to cool down!!! I mean, it's mind boggling how fit some people are. I tried riding a bike once, went to a friends house about 6 miles away. Called my wife to come pick me up with the car. Had pain in my ass for a week!!! I honestly don't know how they do it!!
I love how even the most untrained person will feel a leg lock or some other submission and before it gets too bad, say “ok woah, I tap. I can tell where that’s goin,” before falling to the ground in exhaustion (the #3 entry). Like, he thought he could win easily, and 5 seconds later, is tapping literally before he even feels pain, cuz the real fighter has already made their gaps in skill clear
I would challenge Misha Tate if I had more training in wrestling. But even if I did I wouldnt just challenge a pro for the fun of it like those idiots.
Training with people more experienced than you isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as you don't expect to win. Which, I don't think thise guys understood
Just found these videos, and I must say they're hilarious. I've trained in TKD before, for a number of years. Even so, I'm not stupid enough to challenge anyone. Especially not now; I have a pacemaker and have suffered a bloodclot in one lung, so I'm probably not 100% anymore.
The comedian facing Cyborg was actually shockingly competent looking. Hands raised, takedown attempts that weren't super obvious (except the one after he got hurt), he wasn't half bad. Just outclassed in the end.
I love these vidoes. My best friend (a regular dude with no experience outside street fights) wholeheartedly believes he can step in with Amanda Nunez, and dominate her because she is a female. I would give my life savings to see him get his arm broke by her.
I'm the type of guy to challenge a professional fighter SOLELY to see the difference in skill. I wouldnt go in expecting to get any advantage. I would go in expecting to get my ass kicked and try to learn from the way I get my ass kicked. "Yea put me in my place man , dont hold back"
