Part 2 please! This might be my favorite episode so far. I love to hear how your fathers “sought FIRST the Kingdom of God” and had all these other things added. It’s not only about us or even the generations to come. Investing in our children is investing in something eternal. It doesn’t get bigger than that!
Honestly I appreciate the realness of your current struggles. I love you guys, so I'm not hating at all, but I do feel like in your attempts to encourage other families, at times you make it seem unattainable because we never hear of any struggles. It was just nice to know that Katie is human too ❤️ Again, I love what y'all are doing! And I understand not wanting to air the dirty laundry, but just know we also appreciate the realness 👍
I normally don’t comment and I’m more a silent watcher of your videos. But I just have to say this podcast has blessed me so much as a wife and parent. I have truly been encouraged and learned sooo much from you both. What a blessing you two are!! ☺️ And Happy Birthday Elisha!!!! 🎉
Thanks for holding my hand while i become more intentional in my parenting. I really want my kids to have intrinsic motivation, can you speak to this topic, please?
Love this conversation! The insight on Christians not hiding away to take care of the their families, but making an impact on their home first and then outward to really make a difference. The role of fatherhood and the role of motherhood…each is so vital to raising a family. Just found your channel and blog and then found this podcast. Very inspirational. Thank you for the good you do to encourage family life and big families.
Love the "big vision" you guys have shared from the beginning. Thank you for allowing God to use you in this profound way. Inspiring families for generations to come 🙏
Thank you Katie and Elisha for all the wonderful content you put out every week, you’ve really blessed my home and marriage with the wisdom you’ve poured out. This episode in particular just made me stop what I was doing to leave a comment because it’s so inspiring. I’m going to be sharing this with my husband! There is so much content out there about women being homemakers in every sense of the word and it’s a great concept, but I think it’s been taken too far a lot of the time where women in this traditional role are also taking on the leadership role in the home and that’s not God's design. I would love to hear more dialogue from men about leading their home in the faith like this. Gos bless you both for all you’re doing and happy birthday Elisha!
"Well, he doesn't have a big vision..., when he has a multigenerational vision for something you can pass down to your children, leaving a legacy for your children and your children's children". 🙌👏👏👏👏👏
I think it really has a lot to do with what his “big vision” is. If it’s limited to a career and climbing the big ladder, yea that’s a limited view. But if your vision is, for example, a ministry impact or missional mindset and your work and energy is devoted to that, that’s hardly limited and can impact generations and communities for decades.
@@gloriack7976 even if it is missional or ministry as you said that is still limiting because he is forsaking his FIRST calling which is a husband and then father. How we have seen so many pastors and ministry people fall and their families are in shambles because they pretty much put all of their energy into their “ministry” while neglecting their first ministry of family. It is a slippery slope when you start prioritizing the things outside of your home.
I completely understand what you’re saying and yes he should not be so devoted to his big dreams that he neglect his family. Rather he should bring his family alongside him in his big vision mindset. I see exactly what you mean, so much so as I’ve gone through several ministry programs and churches. But I’m saying the idea that you can’t have big vision mindsets unless it’s only under one certain aspect is a bit imposing.
Just interested, Bible doesn’t talk about to celebrate Birthday Jesus never celebrate birthday Could you point me where is written about command of celebrating birthdays I have reading Bible thoroughly Not just picking and choosing How you help people who doesn’t have internet I know my questions are not easy to answer You have busy life . Thank you for videos . Looking forward to get answer
There’s the letter of the law then the Spirit of the Law. (Lawgiver). So there’s nothing specifically said about how we should handle birthdays or anniversary’s etc, however we are told throughout scripture to honor each other, to show love and to bestow gifts on each other. As believers in Jesus we follow the spirit of the law, and although it’s important to daily show honor to each other, birthdays are a special way to set aside time to truly celebrate their lives. This is what my family holds to as far as special celebrations. I hope it gives some clarity in your walk. Blessings!
Thank you for your answer. I donot like how birthday’s started ? Source is PEGAN Jesus highly talks about Memorial Day not a birthdays There are many ways to love others without celebrating birthdays It’s interesting to hear spirit of law? Would love to hear the rest! Maybe a part 2 is in your future? 😅❤😊
