They are not only giving us a new genre but we are experiencing their brilliance in producing their own music and the poetry in their lyrics. Backdoor was specifically selected by Time's magazine as one of the best songs of 2020 due to its unique almost impossible to categorize genre of the song. It's mixes a lot of things as you said but It definitely works. Stray Kids prove that they can really make something new. 😊
And to add to that, Stray Kids were the ONLY Kpop group to be given that honor by Time Magazine. 👍

Stray Kids has two of the best and fastest rappers of the 3rd and 4th gen kpop. Their songs like Easy, Maze of Memories, Miroh and Hellevator have fast af rap verses and I'm pretty sure you'll love them. Check these songs out if you have the time. I like how you pay attention to every single detail in songs, like some people I know ignore vocalists and only praise rappers unlike you, you praise every memeber and give love to the songs. Also, you pause to read and analyze the lyrics to find the meaning behind it, like when the song is upbeat you can catch that it has a sad meaning not like like some that would enjoy the song and not give time to fully understand it. I think people are saying he can’t react to mnet stuff for fear of getting flagged and plus that doesn’t have lyrics on it so he would have to react to the lyrics version and not the performance. Do they change the lyrics around? Otherwise he would be reacting to the same lyrics for two songs he already did. Maybe just for his personal enjoyment it would be cool for him but I don’t know it would be great content for his channel.

They’re such a creative group and what’s even more amazing is that they make all of their own music! Chan, the leader (red hair guy), composes the songs and he and mainly two other members write the lyrics. There is a running storyline throughout their music videos too especially their old ones it’s really interesting
They write and produce their own music even before debut, I suggest you listen to their music from the beginning coz it has a story.
I really don’t like watching ppl reacting to skz coz they always do it for views and they understand nothing about them + it’s really annoying to watch someone just hype to their songs without knowing the meaning behind it or even not trying to tell others about what they got from them.

"there is no genre to this and what we're witnessing right now, it's like every genre in one" is probably the best way to describe stray kids' music. they're only in their early 20's and have existed for only 3 years as a group but they have already made over 70 songs (excluding their individual stuff and dozens of unreleased tracks). they're a self written and self produced group. their discography covers over 30 different genres and mixes them a lot. they even established their own stray kids genre "mala taste pioneer" basically describing their music style as spicy and unique. they're mostly known as the rap group and the members are considered some of the best rappers in the industry, but their range is so wide that they can aIl go from spitting some of the best raps you'll ever hear to hitting the most angelic high notes. they're such a versatile group that isn't afraid of taking risks and experimenting on all kinds of stuff. I hope you react to more of their stuff, I'm sure you'll be mindblown.
14:04 this is also a thing I noticed Stray Kids doing. They take like mundane objects amd concepts and make a song out of it with a deeper meaning. For example their song Double Knot, which is like a metaphor for preparing yourself for the journey ahead of you and choosing your own path, like how you prepare going for a long run with tying your shoelaces twice to feel more secure

It blows my mind how you get it so spot on with Stray Kids. Their producing unit 3RACHA is notorious for their layered and metaphorical lyrics. And their leader Bang Chan loves Greek mythology and has buried epic storyline hints in all of their music. Your interpretation of the line about the body suffering enough abuse being a metaphor for Korean mainstream music absolutely stopped me in my tracks. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone else interpret it that way and I think you are absolutely correct. I enjoy how you call out the musical choices such as the horns and the specific synth sounds to help everyone appreciate things they may not have noticed. And from the start you were able to tie it to Gods Menu with the outfits of the extras in the background. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Bravo. You are officially one of my favorite reactors. Stray Kids is due for a comeback album soon and I can’t wait to hear what you will have to say about the next chapter in their story.
Also, when you mentioned that their music doesn’t fit into any one genre. They are becoming known in Korea as the pioneers of the “Mala-taste” genre which is sort of like “spicy”. Basically, they are their own genre and it’s super cool that you commented on that.

Really excited about future stray kids reaction
they are self produced, 3racha is a hip hop predebut subunit that currently has written their entire discography and they also actively participate in production (beats and stuff, strictly speaking this is something mostly the leader Chan does)
I'm sure the deeper you dig into them the more you'll like them!
I mean that chan is more involved production wise whereas han and changbin (2 main rappers) are the ones mostly in charge of writing lyrics (but yeah they do it all)

I swear best reactions for stray I have seen. You focus on the lyrics and actually make the connections and meaning but you also point out things in the music videos that even a long term STAY (me) never realised before. There are chefs and hazmat guys behind them in the first seen with all of them and I have NEVER noticed it before. If you didn't know Stray Kids did BTS' Dionysus and they really did justice to the track. Bang Chan shared that it was an incredible honor to cover BTS’s song, especially since they’re such big fans of them. However, since they’re such big fans of BTS, they also thought that they had to do really well. He was surprised that it contained a lot of ad-libs so it was kinda difficult to record it but he said it was really fun too. Just a lil tidbit on BTS and SKZ connections. LEEknow was a back up dancer to BTS and he and Hyunjin do a lot of dance covers to BTS. I know that you're a fan of crazy mc SUGA and Hyunjin is a super fan too he even said that he was super happy and excited when he met Suga for the 1st time and Suga told him that his shoelaces were untied. He was gushing and saying that Yoongi hyung was soo nice to have warned him about it. This is why I'm ARMYSTAY!

So there's a show called kingdom legendary war that just finished up. Would love for u to check out some of those performances. In particular BTOBs version of back door, colors, and full dash.
Also I don't think you have checked them out yet but the group Ateez I think you will like. If you do react to them I would suggest starting with their older stuff as there is a storyline that goes through their videos and they make reference to previous songs in later videos.
Lastly I listened to Chaos Theory and it was so f'in dope. I really enjoyed it and rap is not my preferred genre of music but I love your flow and wordplay. I really like your reactions and how u break down visuals, lyrics, and music production. You have a fan for life

My dad's a musician... he never did wanna become famous, he always declined the offers...
