Love my Audemars.
Yes they are genuine scratch magnets, especially the 15400. Yes, they can be seen by some, as over hyped toys and garish.

Rich man's G-Shock
So true!
Tim, I think the fact that the thin deployant clasp is in steel confirms my information that steel is harder (and more scratch resistant) than grade 5 titanium. Also, Blancpain uses steel on the trigger components of their titanium bracelets for the Fifty Fathoms.
Man that’s a huge watch! I just don’t see what people see in AP, I think they are gaudy.
Same as Rolex: seeking validation from strangers
Love my Audemars.
Yes they are genuine scratch magnets, especially the 15400. Yes, they can be seen by some, as over hyped toys and garish.
But I feel the same about Rolex and Omegas. Ifind the majority of Rolex owners to be arrogant, hilariously under educated about horology, uninteresting unless the subject is themselves and delusional.
Both the 42 and 44mm Offshores are great fun to wear and actually gain far less attention than my Panerai or even Pateks.
When anybody does comment, they mostly ask about them and come across as polite and friendly, not somethung I tend to percieve from the average Submariner wearer these days.
As for this version, why anybody would go back to rubber clad pushers is beyond me, lol.
Seem to remember them forever splitting or wearing, which is why they went with ceramic.
