Same here...only I'm four years older than you. I adore Rowan and Ruby. And it's been a horrible week here in the US. I've felt it to my bones. We all have those times.
When you are doordashing, you are taking sustenance to hungry people. I’m a breast cancer survivor taking hormone blockers for five years. I’m really tired of fatigue. I teach middle school, and today I was a little angry about being so tired. When I saw your title, “It’s okay to Not be Okay,” or something to that effect, it was encouraging to me. Thank you for sharing!
Love and good health to you. My mother passed from breast cancer in 2014. I'd wager that you're more of an inspiration within your circle than you realize!
I love your videos and this is my first time commenting. I am 66 years old, and have seen a lot in my days. You are a remarkable young woman with enormous courage, strength and ambition to reach the goals you set for yourself. Your Nomad lifestyle is commendable and you really do know what you are doing !!!! You carved out a very unconventional but beautiful life. We all have good and bad days where we doubt ourselves. That’s part of the process of life. You are also intelligent and compassionate as well . I got hooked to your channel based on your character and agenda. I wish you continued success and happiness on your delightful journey you share with others. A sweet kiss to “ The Rubes “ ❤
Today it's Tuesday, Nov. 26th. I hadn't seen a new post for a video or short come up for you or Ruby and I began to worry a little. I'm praying you both good and doing well. I'll keep praying for you to have hoy once again. Much love to you Rowan and to Ruby too! ❤🙏🍓
Even your "in a funk" videos are positive. That's what caught my attention and why I subscribed a while ago. None of us have it all figured out but having people like you to share this world, and our confusion over it, with, is truly great. Looking forward to hearing about the Dec & Jan surprises. Ruby's co-piloting skills crack me up every time. She's like a human sitting there taking in the views. 💞
As a counselor, I’d like to add that we need to be mindful of all those old quotes and adages we repeat without really thinking about what they mean can be damaging. While yes, it is ok to not be ok temporarily, it is not ok not to get help when you’re not feeling ok. If that makes any sense. To feel your feels is human, but to stay in feels that can be very damaging can cause you to slip into depression. Reach out when your feels take you deeper into a pit you’re unable to get out of.
I agree! Fortunately my down days don’t usually stay for too long, and I find that the surrender to the feelings can make them pass more quickly. If I don’t honor and acknowledge the hard feelings, they can fester. But I do agree that I’m not going to entertain them, but rather feel, acknowledge, and move forward. Also I have a great counselor that I can talk to when needed and I am grateful for that!
Sometimes after watching negavite junk on social media, I always come back to watching you as you always manage to ground me and put a smile on my face. You always lift my spirits up and teach me on how to exercise gratitude. Thank you for you Rowan! I mean that from the bottomest bottom of my heart. Love from Singapore 🇸🇬
I don’t know what you think about God but for me it helps to see life’s up and downs through His sovereignty. We have our plans and He chuckles because He sees the end at the beginning. You’re right that YOU don’t know what you’re doing BUT He does know. He has a plan for you that is for your good. In moments like these you can lean back and rest in Him because you can trust Him. He’s leading you even when it doesn’t feel like it. DoorDash didn’t go as well as you might wish that it did but it could be a part of getting you to a certain place at a certain time. It’s not a sign that you’re not getting there at all. The reason we can all say that you’re doing well is because it isn’t just about WHAT you do or where you’re headed it’s about the WAY you get there. With love in your heart, grace for yourself and others, enjoying a peace that passes understanding. One foot in front of the other is all we really have to do. Taking it one day and one moment at a time.
Yes showing up is the halv battle… i think or this often…especially when my perfectionism kicks in…it makes me feel more human…💕💕💕lovly video and such cute doggy😊keep up and have fun! Love from sweden!
I also don’t know exactly what I’m doing in life (I’m 39), but seeking God each day and doing my best to give the best that I have. If I’m tired then ok, but I keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keeping open to positive possibilities 🙌🏼
Thanks! Here's a little something to help you along the way, Rowan. It's tough sometimes just getting through the day let alone 'the big picture'. What I admire about you is your ability to keep on going. Keep strong! Deb
Rowan- everything will work out as it’s supposed to for you. I’m over 50 and I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I think it’s human nature to question yourself your life and your place in it. You brighten a lot of people’s days with your integrity to stay open and vulnerable on a global platform.. I’m sure you have inspired lots of people just by being you … Just Rowan, go explore! Success is not measured in how many stocks you own or how much money have or the job promotion. You have freedom and that my friend is immeasurable ❤
Yes eat more in the morning. If your blood sugar drops too much, you will have to spend time recharging yourself. Even a granola bar or oatmeal can help until lunch. I’m diabetic so need to eat regularly.
I am going through it at the moment. I been watching your videos prior but now you are even more beneficial to me. I'm in California and I know you don't know me but know you help me get through my times of loneliness.
I love watching your videos and how you are so real in them. Your little giggle you do through out your videos always make me chuckle. Keep doing you and remember it's ok to not be ok sometimes. PS...I absolutely love Ruby also! 😊
I think due to all these changes daily. You’re overthinking stuff. You need to try to meditate and deep breathing exercises in between your door dashes and eat more small meals. Drink more water. Relax! Take the minutes between dashes to relax. Recharge. Rehydrate. You got this!
Hey Rowan! Showing up and going with the flow and just doing whatever you think or feel is right, is more than enough. It's all good. Don't worry. Thanks for speaking your thoughts out loud, it kind of made perfect sense to me. Be well, trust in yourself. It's going to be just fine! 🍀⚘️
I rarely if ever comment on videos. I appreciate all the work that goes into them. I think you’re depressed and anxious because you’re hungry, your blood sugar was dropping, the caffeine on an empty stomach was too much. I’m sure you know that at the end of the day. Eat more. 😊
Yes, if she is not careful she could end up in a car accident from a low blood sugar & then where would she be? People also doesn't realize how caffeine affects some people's blood sugar & insulin levels & helps them hold on to fat stores.
Also, here’s what you’re doing: you’re entertaining and inspiring us; you’re saving for land to call home; you’re planning on turning your cool Honda Pilot into a casual camper and it’s your work car and you’ve got cute little Ruby. Absence makes the heart go fonder. You’ve also got fun os trips planned. Take one day at a time and keep posting. We love them 😊❤️🇦🇺
I can also see you & Ruby sitting in a rocking chair on your tiny home porch 👍I read something once that said; Hold an image of the life you want, and that image will become fact. Hold onto to your dream, it's waiting for you. ❤
You are such a lovely human, Rowan. You are so present and you share so much with all of us. I’m a train wreck. There’s so much I want to do and I feel paralyzed with no money and my heavy indecision. You’re a treat to watch. Even when not okay, you are a treat. And, you, wanting that garden, that tiny home, it’s not too much to want and we’ll all be here, cheering you on, wanting it for you, too.
Dear Rowan, I’m Ane, from Brazil. I’ve been binge-watching all of your videos, since your channel popped up for me. I’ve been struggling with MDD and about a couple weeks I’ve been survived only through other’s happiness, since I have none. I can assure you that you have become a nice and fresh breeze in my days, sometimes simply by watching you I got the only smile in my face during the entire day. I just love your simplicity, Ruby, your pretty giggle, your tenderness and your positivity. I can tell you are struggling too (who isn’t?) but you have a nice way to feel others feel comfortable around you (even though the screen). I have no enough words to thank you. God bless you and Ruby. P.S. #1: love your cooking P.S. #2: since I am born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, I was never able to feel the snow in my skin and I cry a lot for that P.S. #3: regardless of all, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FINE AND ACCOMPLISH ALL OF YOUR DREAMS ❤
I’m a dasher also. I accept all orders because it all adds up. Gets me to my 100 orders a month and offers the “Dash Now” option at anytime 😊 I’m part time with it, but I love it 🥰
Gig economy is not what it was during the pandemic, $300 days are barely $100, and longer hours. Plus, people are broke, it seems like they aren’t ordering delivery as much as they used, too.
@@DearestDawn i didn’t realize there were $300 days. 😳. That would have been amazing!!! I just started a few months ago to make extra money because of inflation. I’m happy to make anything honestly. It’s hard to survive right now.
@@Dbellerive22605 When people were staying at home there were more orders than drivers, companies were giving very generous goal bonuses. This economy is struggling, 25k evictions in 2 months in Vegas, for example. Plus the media gaslighting and telling us everything is getting better. Also, there is not a housing shortage, there are millions of empty homes in my state, not including apartment vacancies. I think the minimum used to be $30, so going out for a few hours was quick easy money.
Girl I am sending you BIG hugs! I am so proud of you. Look how you pulled yourself out and up. A lot of us get down and we can’t move from it. You are amazing and you inspire us all. Love your vlogs. Thank you for being real. Keep looking up. Hugs from Florida..
I really appreciate your realness on your videos. It is ok not to be ok but in my experience when I take a step back I realize I was overthinking my situation. A pen and paper is the key for me to get out of the spiral. Also, our mental focus needs nutrients and too much caffeine without food can sometimes mess with out mental state in my opinion. I drive for Doordash and sometimes feel that I have too much time to think. Don't be too hard on yourself. Everything is going to be ok.
I just want you to know what I see in you when I watch EVERY one of your videos. I see a beautifully kind, BRAVE and COURAGEOUS, Independent badass. You're awesome!! I get how you feel. I've been there myself. Big hugs to you and Ruby❤
Ruby is so darn CUTE!!! You are living a very interesting free life......LUCKY YOU! You won't realize what this time has meant to you even the lonely times, until they are gone. Life is very short, enjoy experiencing all of Gods creations!!!!! Admire you, from North Carolina
I watch you on my husband’s account most of the time because it’s linked to our TV. I had a form of GBS and still don’t function well. Your videos help me through the day so thank you. It’s been two weeks since the last post and I find myself worrying about you and hoping you’re doing ok.
The struggle is real for a lot of us. Seeing you overcome and persevere to achieve your goals is such an inspiration to us. Carry on, move forward, we’ll be here to encourage you on your journey
I’m new here…needed something to watch to get me out of my rut & found your channel. I think “IDK what I’m doin” is adulting 101 - a lot of us are just out here winging it & doing the best we can atp. Stay encouraged & thanks for sharing your journey with us.✨
I DoorDash too and like to keep a small plastic bin on my passenger when I dash I I can put the food there so it doesn’t slide while I drive. It also comes in handy when you have drives with a carrier too. It’s been so useful for me. I haven’t watched in 5 months. Your pup has gotten so big and beautiful. Stay safe ❤
Just wanted to say I recently started a new job, currently out of my comfort zone and doubting. Really needed to hear your speech about changing things up. Made me feel more at ease and that it’s ok if I fail at this
That’s great advice. Don’t over-think too much if you are hungry and tired. Stop. 🛑 Rest. Eat. Do some self care. 😊😊😊😊 you are doing great. All this is normal. 😊
I have a 2012 Honda Pilot so I look forward to watching your build in yours. Hopefully I can learn from you!! You are an inspiration for sure! And I love the build you have in your van.
Completely understand the chaos of being a bit unsettled while transitioning from one place to another. I am doing the same, stressful. Love your videos and I have learned so much about the Door Dash gig economy, thank you.
Sorry I'm so late. I just found out that watching and comments as soon as a video is posted helps with the YT algorithm, so I'll do better! :) You can buy a 12v cooker that is shaped like a lidded box. We always use them when traveling. And those small disposable loaf pans fit in them perfectly so clean up easy. We bought ours at a truck stop, but you probably get it much cheaper online. I'm sorry you've had a discouraging day. But you're right...trust your journey. Bumps happen, but know that you have more people than you might imagine who are glad you're here and are wishing you all the best things.
Glad to see you two !!! You're such a beautiful soul ❤️❤️❤️ I just want to say by putting yourself out here, I really hope you feel joy and read comments a lot because we care about you. 😊
I really admire your determination to live the life you want and to accept the challenges with such grace. Your personal style is so appealing that no matter what you are doing, it's just fun to tag along. I hope all your dreams become reality. Peace and joy.
Rowan I'm sure thankful to be a subscriber! I watched one of your video's awhile back when I was feeling pretty low! Then I watched another video & subscribed! I felt better while watching you! Your are a genuine person with a lot of heart! Told my husband that you are an admirable young woman! So proud of your accomplishments & so happy that you keep showing up!! Praying for you & Ruby too! Excited about your adventures coming up! Hope you remember to pack your inverter on your next door dash venture. God bless you friend!!
Awwwe, I'm sorry you were feeling a bit down on Friday but hopefully things picked up for you over the weekend. Watched your live stream last night and you seemed to be in better spirits. ❤
Ground red chili pepper ( keep a big jar on hand & it makes a nice decor) is amazing for flavour, mood booster, metabolism..and it just looks pretty in your food or on your spice rack!
Thats why I love you and your channel, your 100% honest. You dont sugarcoat anything. Thats real to all of us. Thats what all of us can relate too. And girl, this video was fantastic!!!
I’m just now able to walk after 3 mos recovering from a broken ankle - 2 plates & a bunch of screws! Looking forward to working 22:31 UberEats to make a bit of money to help my son who can’t work right now because he is having massive panic attacks. I would love to be living in my van right now, but I have terrible health anxiety & worry about getting sick. God bless you Rowan - I look forward to all your videos.
Really, it's a great thing that you have two vehicles because, as a full-time Van-Lifer, if you only had one vehicle, you'd be in a bad spot if that vehicle broke down. This way, you've always got a backup! And one tip (as an older lady with a tendency towards low blood sugar), NEVER go all day without eating something solid, (especially if you're depending on caffeine to get you through!) It not only leads to a physical feeling of 'crash and burn' but will make you fall quickly into depression and dark thoughts. Try to figure out something with a little protein you can have before you head out Door Dashing, or at least munch on the way between drop-offs. Those egg bite things you mentioned could have really helped your mood, I think. It's okay to think about the Big Picture a little, but obsessing over it is self-defeating. Remember, they always warn artists not to 'muddy the canvas' by continuing to mess with a picture too much when it's finished. Treat your planning for the future as carefully by not obsessing over the 'why am I, where am I going' stuff. Too much of that WILL drive you crazy. I enjoyed going around with you on your Doordashing today, but now I'm STARVING, lol! 😊😊😊
This is just a couple of the Videos I've watched. May have missed a video when questioning this: Have you thought or signed up for Uber Eats? You don't have to wait for a shift and if you get an offer on Uber Eats, you can Pause the Door Dash App for 30 mins. Don't take any orders that run you far from your Hot Spots unless you get $2 a Mile. If you do 10 miles, you have 10 miles back. Better to get (2) $5 orders in 30 mins less than 5 miles each. And 2 more @$5 in 30 mins. That's $20 or more in an hour. Just think $5 or more in 15 mins. Don't get upset. Your doing ok. Just don't let DoorDash make you take orders that are Not Worth it to make money.
Thank you for being your true, authentic self and being vulnerable. That takes courage. I am always umpressed how you hold your head high, on an empty stomach, driving that incredible smelling food to deliver to someone. You are a warrior.
I think you are spunky, brave and adventurous. And we enjoy watching you in your day to day. I'm thinking that you are probably exhausted too. Tomorrow is another day!
You’re absolutely right! It’s ok to do things differently to change up. Sometimes the outcome is a Blessing and other times it can be a lesson. However how would we know if we didn’t try.
I love your truth you put out for all of us to see. We ALL have those struggles in one way or another. Yes! Trust your journey. If things don't go as planned, it's ok. I feel sometimes we need a little shaking to wake up and clear our mind. We tend to get stifled after a while and then feel overwhelmed. Keep being you, and I will keep watching because you are awesome! Your journey gives me something to look forward to watching every week. I love your honesty and your beautiful soul. God bless you no matter what you get into or the path you take.❤
I am living and dashing full time in a Honda fit. I am having so much fun! I schedule myself 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, like you for the structure. I have a biggish dog that goes everywhere I go.
I’m an older subscriber too. I enjoy your personality so much! You are fantastic. Even though we don’t know you personally you are a delight. Just know the light returns. Big hug to you❤
Love taking us along! I am enjoying seeing the sights of tacoma. I am sitting with my friend in the hospital who is getting an infusion . You have helped us pass the time.😊
I just wanted to add.... Guess what Rowan none of us really have things figured out!!!! The destination matters, but the journey is what makes it worth it🍓
Your channel is my favorite one on UA-cam! I appreciate your honesty and it’s definitely okay not to be okay some days. Showing up is at least half the battle. You’re doing amazing ❤️
So nice to see you on here, you are doing amazing! I love your determination! I loved your "zipped to the gills comment, LOL, and yes I think we all feel uncomfortable in our own skin at times, I definitely do!
You are so down to earth and genuine. And good to know that we all don't have to figure everything out .. that's life...and as for ruby well she's absolutely adorable
Rowan, it’s okay to not know all the time and to have a ”bad” day or two. You are an amazing person, and real. Maybe you don’t need one channel for you and one for Ruby. It’s a lot of work. We appreciate you very much! Keep the dream alive, things will work out eventually. Take good care!! ❤️🤗🥰🐶🍓
Rowan, the phrase that you were referring to is "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." You don't have to nor should you feel bad for "keeping it real," that's what it should be about, your life on the road. The daily chores, the ups and downs, just life. If you are comfortable sharing, we are happy to listen. I wish you and Ruby all the best. Take care 🙏
You are doing a lot. And the larger goal is the land & garden and tiny home. In a daily basis it can feel a challenge. But focus on the long term. I'm impressed with all you do!
When you feel alone and sad, please remember that you have friends all over the world who love and care for you, truly.
You aren't failing at vlogging. You're not failing at anything.

P.S. #1: love your cooking
P.S. #2: since I am born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, I was never able to feel the snow in my skin and I cry a lot for that
P.S. #3: regardless of all, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FINE AND ACCOMPLISH ALL OF YOUR DREAMS ❤
I’m say a prayer for you. You are going to be fine. I take the same meds. After cancer, now almost 1 year. Very tiring.❤
@ God bless you, dear.
You may not know what you’re doing but you’re still moving forward & you’re doing great!
Praying for you & a hug for ruby.
🙏🏻🐾♥️
You're much stronger than you know. You're door dashing to establish a routine which in turn helps you mental health. ❤ Keep your head up.
I’ve *never* had a single plan or goal in life and I LOVE it! 🥰 Just let it be sweet Rowan…float like a fish and accept the tides love your ♉️ sister
Hey Rowan it’s always so great to see ya have a bless day and pray❤
Ruby is so darn CUTE!!! You are living a very interesting free life......LUCKY YOU! You won't realize what this time has meant to you even the lonely times, until they are gone. Life is very short, enjoy experiencing all of Gods creations!!!!! Admire you, from North Carolina
When ruby sits up in her seat, watching where you're going, reminds me of the old lady in driving miss daisy.😊
Yes, exactly
We all have days like yours, feeling down and in a funk, this to will pass!
I’m 66 and thought I would be the oldest lover of Rowans and Ruby’s adventures…..so positive and easy going.
Also 66. 😊
Not even close Lilly! 😂
I watch you on my husband’s account most of the time because it’s linked to our TV. I had a form of GBS and still don’t function well. Your videos help me through the day so thank you. It’s been two weeks since the last post and I find myself worrying about you and hoping you’re doing ok.
Thanks for reminding me to trust the process!!! 😊
The struggle is real for a lot of us. Seeing you overcome and persevere to achieve your goals is such an inspiration to us.
Carry on, move forward, we’ll be here to encourage you on your journey
Rowan you are giving people courage and comfort. Trust God is with you and using you to bring comfort to others, it helps a lot. Thank You.
Stay safe ❤
You are right, just get through another day. 💕
Just wanted to say I recently started a new job, currently out of my comfort zone and doubting. Really needed to hear your speech about changing things up. Made me feel more at ease and that it’s ok if I fail at this
Ruby riding along setting up and looking around she is so cute. Your morning coffee looked strong. Good luck with your plans.
I like the HALT acronym. Don't let the negative feelings sink in if your hungry, angry, lonely or tired! 😊
That’s great advice. Don’t over-think too much if you are hungry and tired. Stop. 🛑 Rest. Eat. Do some self care. 😊😊😊😊 you are doing great. All this is normal. 😊
I add an S for sick and an S for sad - HALTSS or HALTS² ❤
yes, great advice
I have a 2012 Honda Pilot so I look forward to watching your build in yours. Hopefully I can learn from you!!
You are an inspiration for sure! And I love the build you have in your van.
Completely understand the chaos of being a bit unsettled while transitioning from one place to another. I am doing the same, stressful. Love your videos and I have learned so much about the Door Dash gig economy, thank you.
🙏
Sorry I'm so late. I just found out that watching and comments as soon as a video is posted helps with the YT algorithm, so I'll do better! :)
You can buy a 12v cooker that is shaped like a lidded box.
Don't be discouraged. You are making a difference. Thanks for the videos.
So proud of your accomplishments
& so happy that you keep showing up!!
"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy." Nightbird Love your vlogs! You're doing fine
Rowan, you are amazing! Don’t ever change yourself or doubt yourself. Keep on going toward you goal
You are showing up and that’s what matters. Keep pushing forward, I love your videos 😊
You are freaking amazing Rowan, thanks for keeping it real❤
LOL "being out of my comfort zone is comfortable to me."
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
You are just delightful ❤ You are doing amazing!!
You are an amazing person ❤
It’s truly nice to watching you & Ruby💖
Love from India
Hi Rowen, you give me strength and yes It’s ok not to be ok. ( song makes me cry every time) We got this!
God bless you no matter what you get into or the path you take.❤
None of us really know what we're doing. Winging it over here too! Youre working toward a goal which is great!
I am living and dashing full time in a Honda fit. I am having so much fun! I schedule myself 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, like you for the structure. I have a biggish dog that goes everywhere I go.
good luck to you!
I’m an older subscriber too. I enjoy your personality so much! You are fantastic. Even though we don’t know you personally you are a delight.
Just know the light returns. Big hug to you❤
💖
Love taking us along! I am enjoying seeing the sights of tacoma. I am sitting with my friend in the hospital who is getting an infusion . You have helped us pass the time.😊
I just wanted to add.... Guess what Rowan none of us really have things figured out!!!! The destination matters, but the journey is what makes it worth it🍓
Your channel is my favorite one on UA-cam! I appreciate your honesty and it’s definitely okay not to be okay some days. Showing up is at least half the battle. You’re doing amazing ❤️
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words and support! 🙏
It reminds me of Nightbirde’s beautiful song.
So nice to see you on here, you are doing amazing! I love your determination! I loved your "zipped to the gills comment, LOL, and yes I think we all feel uncomfortable in our own skin at times, I definitely do!
And your dream will come true, Rowen. The porch, rocking chair, garden. It will, 💯
🙏
You are so down to earth and genuine. And good to know that we all don't have to figure everything out .. that's life...and as for ruby well she's absolutely adorable
Rowan, it’s okay to not know all the time and to have a ”bad” day or two. You are an amazing person, and real. Maybe you don’t need one channel for you and one for Ruby. It’s a lot of work. We appreciate you very much! Keep the dream alive, things will work out eventually. Take good care!! ❤️🤗🥰🐶🍓
I enjoy you and Ruby. Hang in there. Life has speed bumps. And I feel like you handle those very well. Much love to you both.
You’ll do ok. You’re AWESOME!
Rowan, the phrase that you were referring to is "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
You don't have to nor should you feel bad for "keeping it real," that's what it should be about, your life on the road. The daily chores, the ups and downs, just life. If you are comfortable sharing, we are happy to listen.
I wish you and Ruby all the best. Take care 🙏
I thought you and Ruby were best mates. She will miss you while you go off travelling! 😢
I’m really sad for Ruby. I have a chance to travel abroad and am not going because I can’t leave my dog.
I wouldn’t leave my dogs either…..too hard on both of us to be apart, making any trip stressful and unenjoyable!
I love you attitude towards life , your a well rounded person, there. Should be more like you
You are doing a lot. And the larger goal is the land & garden and tiny home. In a daily basis it can feel a challenge. But focus on the long term. I'm impressed with all you do!
