TKD ITF changed so much for last 10 years. It is absolutely not understandable who wins and for what matters. Fighters behave themselves like actors trying to imagine balls-shot to trick referees. TKD is killing itself
Decision based by points is ok, it always was in tkd. But now, points are so complicated that everyone tries to manipulate. All these rules, to my opinion, were created by koreans. They always lost in their own sport when it was close to fight. Nowadays Otsimik - Russian lightweight-the only spectacular tkd fighter.
@@tjfamilytalks So Russian fighters are faking injuries and low blows but you blame koreans ? Obviously these rules were created by koreans because Taekwondo is a korean martial art. ITF has evolved as a sport over the past 10 years and the level of competition is much higher than it used to be. This stimulates athletes to manipulate the rules to gain a small advantage. It happens in all sport disciplines and definitely not unique to ITF. Just look at basketball / soccer players imitating injuries. There are many entertaining and skillful ITF fighters (at least in another ITF organisation), just to name a few - Katya Solovey and her son Vitaliy (and pretty much anyone from their camp), Julio Carlos, Timothy Bos, Li Andrey, Luraschi Sebastian, Vargas Axel etc
Igor Kim, Honestly I have not being overwatching tkd last years, I only watch some videos in UA-cam. My points about Koreans may be was kind of speculation and I should not write it. But: I trained from 1998 till 2007, I knew how points are counted a little bit, but now even for me - for person who trained more than 10 years and took part in dozens of champions it is absolutely not clear, fighters make strange set of actions. It is unspectacular at all, tkd evolves in strange direction. And about football: it is not martial art. Fighter who tries to simulate pain is ridiculous!
@@tjfamilytalks I'm not a fan of this either but you should understand that taekwondo sparring today is not a martial art but a sport discipline just like the above-mentioned soccer. ITF sparring in particular is not about dealing damage but about scoring points and competitive tkd athletes know how to play the rules and that's why their actions may look weird to an untrained eye. The same happened to amateur boxing - just have a look at the recent AIBA World Champs. Some of the matches looked nothing like fighting and very different from professional boxing. Unfortunately that always happens when a martial art turns into a sport.
