The Gaelic version of The Best is Yet to Come and the Hebrew version of Love Theme made me cry. The English language versions by Donna Burke make me cry equally hard. Both versions of both songs are very powerful and very emotional.

I'll always think of the return to shadow Moses whenever I hear this song. I get emotional every time and remember what it was like to see the frozen, crumbled shadow Moses.
it was sad just reminded me im getting old just as snake was in mgs4 and just like shadow moses being old and falling apart so am i haha hip, knee and back all messed up from work haha when you take a knee as snake in mgs 4 and he hits his back i feel he's pain ... unrelated to that though i just finished mgs4 on a pc emulator glad i replayed it now gunna replay it again 😋

Can't even begin to explain the emotions I felt at the end of MGS1 hearing this song after uncovering Snake's insane life, family, killing his brother who was too obsessed with the literal blood relation he had with his brother instead of his actual brother, and finally the uncertain fate of Snake who seemed to be living on borrowed time.

i love this song and still remember from 1998 on ps1
I was and still am a little late getting into games.I didn't get a PS1 until sometime in 1999 I think.....But a friend let me borrow Metal Gear Solid and I did not realize until I played it how deep video game stories could be and then I went on to discover games like Final Fantasy7, Grandia, Lunar, Star Ocean,etc. Its amazing getting a chance to play these games that someone else's brilliant mind created. Nice escape from reality.

I remember going through a tough time in 2008 when MGS4 came out, the return to Shadow Moses really took me back to simpler times, the sudden wave of nostalgia really caught me by surprise. It was an emotional moment, just realising how much time has passed, it's like listening to this song now and realising that 2008 was 7 years ago. Life moves too fast, and we all have a terrible habit of over complicating everything.

I know its a video game, but a story so strong and so well done has made a huge difference in my life. 93 baby and I played n beat Metal Gear, (came out in U.S. in 98), beat it around the year 2000. Over that time I had to learn how to SAVE and SWITCH DISK'S WITHOUT RESETTING THE GAME. Sorry for caps but I did it so much as a lil tike lol. I've played all MG games even the NES ones completely. But this one song touches my heart for nostalgia, and love. For me seeing a woman so sweet cover this beautiful song is a dream come true. :) THANK YOU
