Yeah it is a lovely looking device. I think the new ultra look worked well because of the more squared off design. But if they're going to go back to a more rounded design with the s25 ultra it would be nice to see that return (which it definitely won't).
I'm actually HAPPY Samsung got away from the curved edge displays and found it a nuisance as stuff was always activating by simply picking up the phone that you'd have to close, dismiss. I like the FLAT display over the curved from ALL the Note series phones I've had over the years, starting with the Note 3.
Watching from my S21 Ultra 5G love this device got it brand new back in November 2021. In terms of software, I think Samsung knows exactly what they are doing probably making the older devices messed up with software updates and enhancing the newer devices for the best with their software updates. I will keep using the S21 Ultra probably till late 2025 or early 2026 I just hope Samsung brings better optimisations and better camera quality improvements with the last major software update for the S21 Ultra.
Been waiting for this comparo for a while. Still rocking my (US) S21U for the past 3+ years. Still in perfect shape. Never even used a screen protector, but the anti fingerprint coating is long gone, so smudges are constant and annoying. My cameras don't seem as reliable as they used to be either (seem to be out of focus a lot) and the battery ain't what it used to be. Had actually tried a S24+ for a bit, but IMO, there just wasn't a big enough bump to justify an upgrade, at this time, so returned it. The FE is tempting due to its lower price, but I'm holding out for the One+13 or possibly S25 Ultra.
I think I was lucky 🤷♂️ this summer I bought a used (second-hand) S21Ultra for 350$ in excellent condition, completely satisfied 💯 Excellent cameras, battery for 5 hours of screen time without games. Yes, for this money you can buy a new smartphone, but it will be a modest budget option 🤷♂️ S21ultra is still impressive 🎉
at some point the s series started to become more and more like iPhones in design. Even iPhone decided to pick up usb-c charging. At some point you wont be able to tell which phone is which
Ive had s21 ultras since release so If I'm right coming upto 4 years, just bought my son the s24 and I feel like mines slowing down a little especially the Internet connection side of things so had a look what the s24 was like and for 1 the picture quality on the s21 ultra is better
I bought the 24fe dispite you saying it's not for power users , which I am and I gotta say it's better than my 22 ultra ..... Yes no s pen and no note features.. you gotta be more un bias towards the 24fe it's the best all over package and best bang for buck Samsung has put out thos year , you also bag the Camaras which are respectable at worst in real life they are better than my s22 ultra so there is that
The wideangle on the S24 has better dynamic range and it's much less aggressively post processed, less sharpening but more detail. It wins easily, but for social network usage they're basically the same
11:46 there is an issue I found with Samsungs, my S24 and my previous s21fe, wouldn't switch to the 3x telephoto camera in landscape mode until 10x, maybe that's what happened to the s21 ultra. Check by blocking the periscope 10x with your finger
This is all a matter of opinion IMO. This years S24FE is NO slouch and offers ALOT of features at a "reasonable" $. I think the S24FE is the best 'FE' to date. It's snappy, performs well, and has good battery life. Myself, have no need for an S-Pen as all the previous Note's I had I seldom used it anyways. Do I need professional picture/video quality for "my" needs? NO. The S24FE runs everything I throw at it with NO lags or heating. Sure, it's NOT for everyone but, something to consider depending on what you do/need.
As much as i love the look & feel of the s21U, I'd have to buy the s24fe. Im one of the few ppl that thinks Samsung did an amazing job other than the batter size on the fe this year.
S24 FE handss down. The s21 had heating problems with the snapdragon chip and signal problems. This was the worst phone I had in years. So yeah the s24 FE all the way.
Why is the video stabilization of your S21 Ultra so bad 🤔 Also, the point not to forget, in photos, but especially in video, the S21 Ultra Snapdragon and Exynos are really two different smartphones, the Snapdragon model is far superior in video. And even in terms of the screen, the S24 FE's is not necessarily better than the S21 Ultra's, but above all there is nothing more "mature", the natural mode also exists on the S21 Ultra. I always advise against Galaxy FE unless you have them at the price of Galaxy A5X, why, because in 1-2 years with the next updates, as always, Samsung will remind you that these are only Galaxy FEs and not Galaxy S. 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️
The S22 Ultra improved stabilisation a lot over the S21. The S21 Ultra didn't have the correction angle for on the move videos. If you kept still, it would be fine, but following kids along made it problematic 😔
The 21 ultra all the way, the zoom is light years beyond the peasant S24 fe. I've never understood the FE line anyway other than the note 7 FE which I bought immediately. Otherwise now a days if you want a small device get the 24 if you don't mind a big device get the ultra
Dude stop. It’s like you didn’t even listen to the video. He clearly said that the s21 ultra is nearing its end as far as software goes, and the performance on the fe is better in every way. How is that unfair?
@heyabro-p2b he spoke on the design language and how the 21 ultra was so much better than the FE, saying that samsung was essentially going backwards. If anything, he should've compared the mid range offering from then to now or the s21 ultra to the s24 ultra to justify his statement.
Honestly i might take the camera on the old ultra, but because replacing batteries is so hard and patches run out in like a year it's definitely the s24 fe for me
@@redstang70 For you maybe. but try to think differently.
