Apollonia, please ask your mate Jill Jones about her allegation that Prince punched her several times in the face, At every opportunity since his death she has spoken about her time with him and working with him, not once did she mention him punching her. The woman has now said on the Netflix documentary that he punched her and she has not gotten over it 30 years later. It is no wonder Prince did not trust anyone.

I wasn’t sure if the moaning was real. Definitely a sexy accent to the song. I figured Jill brought a toy into the studio. It’s Prince music, let’s have some fun lol. Oh my word! Not only did I have the album with the poster. I got it autographed by Vanity 6 at Bad Records in Southfield, Michigan just outside Detroit. I will never forget how nice Denise/Vanity, Susan and Brenda were. All three had on gorgeous turquoise mini dresses, I remember Vanity's had ruffles like a pirate🙂 Genuinely beautiful inside and out and the epitome of class and poise💜💜💜 Word of wisdom to young ladies: If you decide to live with a partner, be careful. Often we end up leaving everything behind just to get out safely. That's how I lost my entire record collection, including the Joni Mitchell my aunt gave me when she knew she was dying of breast cancer. Just be careful out there. Much love to you ladies (Apollonia 6), absolutely one of the best eras of my life thanks to your artistry. 'Happy Birthday Mr. Christian' was my fav! ❤️🙏🏾

Sorry to say, but listening to these stories I think that Prince NEVER had the intention that any of these girls succeed professionally. He wanted young, pretty women around him and kept them in his orbit because it was helpful and pleasant for him for a certain time ( arm candy, too). He acted like some sort of manipulative mild cult leader to be honest. Thats my impression listing to these stories. I would have felt so irritated and uncomfortable to be in this toxic environement. But I guess beginning of the 80ties women were used to feeling uncomfortable around men especially in the entertainment industry.

Been watching a lot of these interviews & have so much respect for Vanity for walking away as opposed to hanging around like an ornament waiting to be displayed wherever he saw fit in his life until he dismissed you. Prince seemed to have respect for the female musicians in his life, but the others just seemed so interchangeable & not taken seriously by him, given all these stories of being one of several in his rotating harem. All the empty promises he made them & the undiscussed breakups. Once Vanity left he was on a mission to make her regret it, she definitely lived rent free in his mind where as all the others that followed seemed temporary & hang on to their time w him till to this very day. Denise put it in her rearview & never wanted to even discuss it as she carved her own path. Spoke with her a year before she passed as she was selling her book, in her words, being Vanity was the least interesting thing about her. She never lost her spunk. 😊

Andre Cymone is so very, very, very talented. Fantastic song writer, singer, musican, and producer. Andre wrote the song I Want To Be Your Lover! Andre, and Prince were best friends. Thank you so much for speaking to Andre. It took me yeeeeeeaars to find a decent interview with Andre and now I still don't know how he has met and started working with Jody! Jody's unprecedented success and underrated impact on fashion , music and her overall legacy in unmatched. Her whole career is unsung! Also her connection and impact (a possibly secret friendship) to Madonna is something no one ever talks about. I know that they have worked with many of the same people (Gardner Cole, Jean Paul Gaultier, David Fincher, the vogueing and waacking scene etc.) (I happened to find out by accident that she and Madonna are still in touch in 2007 and spoke to Jean Paul about his legendary collaboration with Jody a few years later) I am so disappointed that not enough questions were asked about the Grammy winning Watley debut! Utterly disappointed since the world and especially the black community has seemingly forgotten about Jody!

Why doesn't anyone bring up Madonna? After Purple Rain he had a fling with her that lasted a while until the Virgin Tour was over and she met Sean while shooting the Material Girl video. There is even rumors of a collaboration (other than "Love Song") Also what happened to Andre? Why did he leave the camp and how did he find and meet Jody? "Old Friend of mine?" How does she know a barely 19 year old Naomi Campbell? What about you do me? from 1990!
