Hey Love your videos was trying to use the LARrE script but i keep getting an error code on line 23 why would this be
Nice, yoink'ed your code, so, I am subscribing of course 😁👍 Thanks!
@Venusian Gamer added a line between l r0 dr8 Reagents and seqz rIsEmpty r0 that goes 'floor r0 r0' now it works to process bullshit 0.0001 mg shit that comes out of random recycled scrap etc.
Love your stuff. Great code too.
Which is faster the combustion or electronic centrifuge?
@TheBrookemarley combustion is faster, but fuel might not be available or you don't wanna handle ices to gas management ...
Very Cool, id love a video explaining a step by step on how to build one and store the produce etc. good vid
Ive just got to say it, how can one person sound both 70 and 20 at the same time?
Could you put the code for your trading setup up on your github please? Been blowing trough your content, I like it and I hope you find time to post more in the future 👍
that was pretty damn helpful. thanks!
I tried to use your code but... well the green light on IC housing is on so theoritically the code works but it has no effect on centrifuges the still go without any control.
for some reason it says that fnWaitForIdle is Error...?
👍
This is a great way, doing things. and your code is sooo nice readable. u teached me a lesson - and i play over 1200hrs ingame. thx for that nice work
Best code I have found. Absolutely amazing. Please post all your codes somewhere besides steam please. 🙏 🙏 🙏
crappiest game i have seen, now i know why i never brought this crap game.
will this work on dirty ore from a deep miner or should i tweak the reagents value? (am currently unable to test it myself)
Yes
I’m trying to understand it, I don’t see where you’ve used the DeviceIndexCount at
Shouldn't you be on... Venus? Jokes aside, this looks like a good series, thanks for making it.
the 5x mining broke me I thought he was talking while live recording and then I realized he's just doing voice over in post lol
I cannot figure it out, what day is this? I would like to know some benchmark for my play. I am able to produce water at day 30, but at that time, I really need that water and I am low on oxygen at that time. SO I would like to know what day is this episode, but I do not see the notes (You servive for y days without dying)
Thank you for the video of your experiment. I think it would be interesting to try a few specific enhancements. First, it would be good to have a graph showing the cycling of the fan. This would show some difference between the input volumes. The goal would be to be able to have the fan run 100% of the time. Secondly, consider having the logic controlling the fan reference the ambient temperature. In this way, you can turn it on when it is hot and it won't start until the temperature gets down to -- say 128. It might be best to make this a single sensor so they don't get different start times. Also, you can run the experiment from auto turn on to auto turn off to help bound the experiment. Thirdly, consider that the performance of any particular moment is less important than the importance over a full day (auto turn on to the next auto turn on). As such, an input insulated tank might be best because it would continue to provide cooling longer after the sun is up. This might require a different output configuration. For instance, add a digital valve on one side or the other of the one-way valve and have it go to open when the pressure gets to 80% of max then close when it gets down to 60%. Lastly, it would be interesting to measure the power consumed for a cycle. To do this you could just add a station battery for each and make sure it gets topped off (and disconnected from the power source) before the first on cycle. Then read the output after the cooling capture for that day is done. Compare that to the amount of cooling captured for the CoP. Once all this is done, it seems it might be easy to propose an early game version and a late game version.... Just some thoughts... Thank you again for your time and attention in this....
thx for this and code, but u are missing most important part, input should be pressurized and be greater then sum of outputs for efficiency, 30 mol per tick is something?
Yeah, the input should be pressurized to a value (depends on gastype and temp), that u filter much more mol / tick. if u have bigger rooms, u will see why ;)
Will you have a V4 with the new arm
Thanks for the code. Ive been trying to do electric Centrifuges using logic pieces for like 6 hours now, but i was unable to make it work. I couldnt find a way to make the writer send a pulse instead of a constant 0 or 1 signal.
I still want to figure out how to do it without an ic10.
@@NoHypocrisy42 actually. The code I copied from here had some bugs. It wasn't emptying the centrifuges sometimes. So I studied the IC coding and made my own code now pretty much.
Great video!!!
Incorrect logic type at line 44 is what i get when i try to export it :(
oh nvm, assighned the wrong device with the screw driver, the script works great thank you!
You've got your own play style, but I would recommend if you are doing starts that require time savings, when switching equipment and supplies from hand just right click the item. Most of the time, it will return to the starting slot. One of the exceptions is wire cutters and cables. If you right click the cables first, they usually go where the cutters were in your belt. If you right click the cutters first, then the cutters go where they should and the cables will go where they came from. With a little use, it will go much faster than dragging and dropping all of those slot switches. When time isn't in such short supply, it doesn't matter so I wouldn't have said anything otherwise.

Could always build down if you want another floor
Your base is looking a lot like a hoarders with the piles of stuff, but it adds character
no growing lights !?
The upper section uses the natural sun vs grow lights. The lower section has grow lights mounted on the wall just above the plant level in the center.
Thank you, this works great and and i appreciate the extra effort to explain the script step by step. I wanted to make exactly this script since the logic i was ussing was a bit unreliable, but i had no idea where to start untill now.
Neat! Did you know that if you send the charcoal through a furnace with just hot volatiles it will make solid fuel at a VERY efficient rate, which gives a much better burn time. useful if you're trying to mix/max the power available 😊Edit: or is it Biomass and Vol Furnace? I can't remember I'm at work so if that's wrong please correct me
AHA! Now I know why you built such a large Wheat farm on the Moon!
Unlimited Power.gif
not sure what I am doing wrong here. using version 3 with latest stationers update with the hydroponics LAREE and it will pick everything up real nice and dump it but it has trouble replanting. I first seed all 35 trays and make sure they are all at seeding. tray zero is right above chute, 1 is the hydroponic Laree and 35 is a station then a blank rank then station 36 which deposits into the second chute. It tries to plant but then it seems it gets stuck and then tries to replant what was already replanted which kills the seeds. It then skips and goes to the next planting and then killing the seed so I never actually get seeds in the chute at the end as it plants and kills everything. I'v tried wheat, soy and ferns same behavior for all of them. What am I doing wrong with your setup? Otherwise its great in theory.
Not sure, now that my wheat power video is out I'm going to work on an hydroponic update using the new hydroponic arm.
Your like a savior of this game all the other vids are old and dont seem to work... thanks for this 🎉🎉
You are welcome. The game does change a bit making videos quickly out-of-date in some cases. I took a break for about 18 month and busy catching up on the new stuff (and remembering the old stuff).
I think the repo is private because I can't access it.
Sorry about that, changed to public.

Hey, you doing okay? You sort of dropped off for a week.
Helping family members with closing/moving into a new house. I should have another video up on Monday...
This is so cool 🙂 But I myself have now tried with your script and setup. Im doing this with ferns. But it only picks up all the seeds and then it stops? Am I doing something wrong?
There was a bug introduced in the last Stationeers update, the work around is explained in my Moon EP19 video ua-cam.com/video/Zp6ZlNQj_YQ/v-deo.html
Ya venus is brutal on brutal stationeer difficulty, made it 8 days before i got stuck in a dead and gave up
Ah more crowdstrike content. Love it. I wrote a DISM script to "fix" it, but I still ended up re-imaging all the servers and desktops after the fact. Good times.
Funny story, I thought you were referring to the LArRE bug and used a DISM script to fix the code within the world.xml image. I thought to myself, you can't use DISM scripts for that... Then I realize you were referring to the real world.... <g> <g> Speaking of fixing servers, long ago in server land I could remote power cycle servers that would auto PXE boot and optionally load a new image from scratch. Never "patch" servers, just reinstalled new. Of course would drain and remove from the load balancers first so no disruption to services. (And all scriptable as updating a thousand server manually wasn't an option...) But that was a while ago and things may be different now...
@@VenusianGamer Eh the concept is the same. And it does basically run over PXE. It's just a preboot environment, largely the same as you used to use. The only thing I did with the DISM script was remove the troubled file in the system folder. It "worked" for a time, but to just make everything clean I reimaged everything anyways. Most of my devices are behind netscalers, so loadbalanced and fault tolerant. Was a pain in the ass for about 2 hours until I thought of just removing it in preboot.
Renaming Wheat? Yeah ... I renamed a tray while there was wheat growing, and that wheat -- and the wheat that stacked with it -- now has that name ;) Kinda weird and cool. (And just checked -- it looks like you can rename wheat stacks pulled out and dropped on the floor!)
Turns out renaming of wheat and other plants is very useful due to the genetic aspect and that the name will transfer to any new growth.
A random greybeard feels the need to expand on your "back then" observation -- yeah, sizes were limited. Mostly the size of the assembled image, not the size of the source file, so removing two instructions (two lines of code) and adding six lines of comments would be a net win. To calibrate how small was small: my KIM-1 in 1978 had a kilobyte of memory; and in 1979, I used Intel 2716 eproms, which stored 2 kilobytes of data, were re-usable, and were cheap. How we reprogram the IC10 chips is a pretty good match for how people handled the 2716 and its cousins. It's tempting to do my IC10 development outside the game, and set up to automatically convert my editable source into minimal files for Stationeer (removing comments and blank lines, checking that it's not too long, then dumping it into the clipboard). One thing the Stationeer limitation will encourage is to build more complex systems using multiple housings, where each housing runs a program that does one simple part. We have the ability to communicate between them. Just have to carve the big job into essentally a collection of simple coroutines. Not sure how the farming might be divided into coroutines, aside from being able to lift Grow Light and Import Bin management out of the way, but I do see that such a tight memory limit will encourage that kind of thinking.
I thought about using the mailbox technique for cross IC communication. IC's can directly access the 512 word memory of any other IC. Just define sections for arguments and return values. But also a rumor that Stationeers will switch to LUA with ImGui for custom UX. So not sure how much I want to invest in IC10 coding. On the greybeard contest, I worked on an Univac 1500 with transistor logic, but with four tape drives, I think 16K of memory (4K for the OS) and a COBOL compiler (books.google.com/books?id=LY4NAQAAIAAJ). Nothing like running sort on four reel tape drives. <g>
Hey dude, I really like your scripts. Can you tell me where to find them? Specifically I LOVED your vulcan script that identified the types of gas containers in the filler. I may be lazy, but it would be ideal to have a repository (either steam workshop or somewhere else) for some of your good stuff. I, personally, am not strong at MIPS so it's nice to see how you handle solutions. Thank you for the solid videos! Quick edit: even a github would be good. <3 Another Edit: Doing stuff for fun is the right way to do things. :)
The scripts are generally in the description of the episode that I used it first. If there is a specific script you can't find then provide the video and timecode when I used it and will track it down. In the next series I start, I will be more formal with the scripts and maintain on github.
@@VenusianGamer Excellent! I'm just a lazy jerk. :)
Did you notice any problems with the LArRE Slot 0 Occupied and Quantity values not showing up when coming out of idle after the Activate for a couple of seconds? I've had to inject a *sleep 2* and while it's working fine now, it will continue to nag at the back of my head.
I hit this issue with the Steam Achievements update (between EP18 and EP19). Been reported on discord bug channel. I discuss this issue in the beginning of EP19 with a work around of a sleep 2 after the Activate. Everything seems to work fine with that.
The "right" way is the way that works IMO 😁
Some methods work better than others. :-)
Some food for thought... You spoke of backup power generation possibly masking issues with main power generation, and well, there are means to thwarting such problems, such as a suitable application of more logic. For example, the establishment of a monitoring, and/or notification center (preferably in a commonly traveled area), in which you can feed all pertinent data to so you can monitor your atmospherics, gas supplies, gas generation and consumption, power generation and consumption, water generation and consumption, etc. with color changing LEDs to notify statuses, flashing lights to grab your attention to critical issues, and of course, some nice console graphs to display generation versus consumption. Cheers!
The problem with the cooling is the gas sensors. Check the names again. I'm sure you've fixed this in a later episode, though. Thanks for the videos!
Ah, still misnamed. But the IC reads via the device port so it doesn't impact the logic running. I put on my list to correct in the future (most likely in EP19). Thanks!
Labeler tip: use mouse wheel to cycle through your last 10? label enters, helps when labeling multiple of the same thing
