I ordered a 1974 in July of 1973 when the dealers got preliminary order info to gear up for the new model year, so I had an advance look. I ordered EVERY CONCEIVABLE OPTION except astro roof (for some odd reason you couldn't get the astro roof with the air cushion restraint system. Another interesting quirk is that they did NOT INSTALL SHOULDER BELTS IN THE FRONT with the air cushion restraints ( I guess they figured the air bags would be enough). I was going to order the leather interior, but didn't feel that would be as comfortable (hot in the summer cold in the winter). Great boat for long weekends to go up north (I lived in PA.) and boy, did I get some looks when I started college and drove up in that. The REALLY nice thing was, you could only seat 4. I would always get at least 3 guys who needed a ride home for break and could only take 3. I even had guys offer to ride in the trunk (which I would NOT do). My father got t-boned 3 years later by a dump truck and his insurance didn't want to spring for comparable replacement (air bags were scarcer than hens teeth) so I just settled for a regular Fleetwood. Sure do miss that old boat.
Absolutely gorgeous! Shame about the bluetooth. I'd put the factory 8track where it belongs, and put that walmart special where it belongs--in the TRASH.
I was surprised by this car, I've never seen a Caddy with a console and buckets is this correct? I had a 76 225 limited in medium blue with a dark blue top
Stunning hard to look at the stero/speaker upgrades but unfortunately it's almost an "unavoidable evil" today to upgrade the functionality for bluetooth/safety purposes. This is absolutely gorgeous.
Nothing "safe" about fiddling with obnoxious menu controls and phone screens when popping a tape in and easy-to-find-without-looking & basic controls are the alternative.
@@WSNO well I agree "nothing safe about fiddling with obnoxious menu controls and phone screens", but if you yourself have EVER used a phone while driving than you'd be insane to honestly believe that upgrading a car audio system to support hands free communication isn't a much more safe option than the original audio "tape deck" system should you be locked in bumper to bumper gridlocked traffic at the same time a loved one has a small emergency and HAS to talk or text with you? (wood...knocking) Stay Safe ✌
I love this car, however, the Talisman upholstery was much more ruched and plush. The fabric wasn’t tight to the seat base. However, your car looks pretty even if it was a project car.
looks like OEM stuff to me. I grabbed Cadillac brochures as a teen in 1974 and they introduced the Talisman package. It had a console in the rear that was not repeated for 1975. Sew patterns in those seats were the same as these. I don't recall the color options available. In any case, this presents very well and I would be proud of it if it were mine. Nice job!
The tan color of interior takes away from the luxury because it's too much of a contrast in color from the dash and exterior paint color. It would have been better in black color interior or dark green.
I have a 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman in Jennifer blue. Leif's Talisman looks genuine to me except for probable repaint and partial re-upholstery. Very nice! Are you in Sweden?
The longest car of the 1970s is I believe the 1973 Imperial LeBaron (Chrysler Corporation), available as a 4-door sedan or 2-door hard top coupe, both cars, the 4-door and the 2-door being the same overall length of 235.3 inches that’s 19 feet 7.3 Inches. This information is from the encyclopaedia of American Cars 1940 to 2000. Papo Cam.

However, the original interior was surely Black based on the color of the majority of the vinyl interior components as well as the Black and Inverary Green Metallic exterior scheme. The original interior color choices were Black, Dark Blue, Gold and Rosewood, so the interior appears to be a combination of Black and Rosewood cobbled together at some point after the car left the factory? A strange one indeed.

That is one magnificent car. That's when you knew you had a true luxury vehicle.
It appears to be a Frankenwood, a mix of years and reupholstery efforts. However that is a beautiful paint color and the pinnacle of Cad, 1975-76.

The center console and bucket seats are correct. It's an option that was only available on a Talisman.

Those brochures were beautifull and exciteing for me as a teen , with words like firemist red and top comercial art work.

Looks like Talisman interior parts swapped into another car. Talisman interior was all one color. B and C pillar upholstered parts missing too.
