Oh boy another tier list today, I just watched Ecclesiarchs legendary tier list. Nice :)

Hospitaller has 5 health now, and is much better than Tier 2, it's probably tier 3. Same with Dominion, as it has 4 health now instead of 3 so it's much harder to take out, and often gets to spread her fire which kills off Necron remnants and pesky soul stones from Eldar. Also Retributor only requires 2 faith now, it's a huge difference! I mostly agree with these ratings, would love to see some more buffs and changes.

Awesome tier list think you're right about most of the placements. Think maybe some of the 4 star cards would count as 'auto-includes' for me like seraphim and dominion superior. I've not tried trial of suffering ( never really found a deck for it likewise) but i do think it has a problem of 'if im giving something 2 armor then the 1 hp its losing is actually even more valuable' , it would be cool on mortifier perhaps but then that means you are investing 9 mana into one card and mortifiers tend to be the unit that ends up eating your opponents hard removal anyway.

BJ, thanks for the review! It seems much harder to track the current card when you add them by rows. It is the case even when I watch without rewinds. Consider going back to a one-by-one approach.

Yeah pretty much 100% on point. I'd just switch Vahl with Erika , but thats personal pref

I've climbed to my PR MMR of 2.9k with Vahl thanks to you and The Ecc! Mortifier is ace in the hole versus chaos

NGL. Its kinda bs that green horde is just 4 energy for its effect. That should be toned down.

I like playing one Aspiring Champion because it's a ranged-oriented card. Chaos has some amazing melee cards but with 0 ranged strength, and this fills the gap rather nicely. It doesn't have Flank, unfortunately, but it's relatively cheap and has decent survivability.

How is in your warlord tier list from couple of days ago Sylar better than Harkon ,but in this list he is not ? 😂😂. Nice list though.

pretty good assessment, but imo hellbrute+(be one of the best cards tbh) muderous desire-- (no way this isnt situation) dark oratory+(top tier combo with spawndom without it chaos in the gutter) gift of chaos+(draw power is quite a problem so 1.5 cost pact is pretty good) ,(cant see behind cam so im assuming thats chosen, havoc champtionand ghell chosen) havoc champion- (serves one purpose as a catch up with black crusade )

Thank you, that was a great in interview all around, quite satisfying with seeing direct communication with devs. To future questions - first, about visual effects, for range attacks it's quite nice and varied (even though sometimes you want more unique ones for each unit) but melee ones are fairly samey and universalz maybe it's even just one animation amd effect? Could EG add more variety in effects/animation for melee attacks? Secondly, sometimes artwork, unit names or even function not matching, big example is 3-drop Warp Spider that uses Exarch picture with two blades, hence 4 melee - but regular Warp Spiders are actually a fully range unit with death spinners being it's weapon? And card doesn't say it's Exarch of Warp Spiders, which btw uses blades more defensively and still mainly does shooting. Kinda weird. Or 5-drop Striking Scorpion Exarch is using a regular Eldar Autarch artwork, not related to the card name. Little things like that sometime affect immersion. Would love EG fixing it in future.

Nice list! I mostly agree with it except I'd put Eldritch Storm at worst at 4th place. Yes it can be the worst AOE card but that's pretty rare as it's usually going to be doing at least 3 damage to everything if it triggers the spirit stones. I've often used it to solid effect even without the stones and with the stones it's good not just against go wide boards but can help you deal quite well with multiple medium health troops as it's often doing the ultramarine's death from above to the ENTIRE board (even if they're stealthed, camouflaged, behind vanguard, or they have 3 or more troops unlike the ork's skorcha assault, chaos' heldrake strike, and sisters' cleansing flames!) for just 4 energy and 2 stones! And as you said with the stones it can still do some damage to shielded enemies. Also, if you don't have wailing doom or you have less than 8 energy it serves as a decent but unreliable game finisher. It's main weakness is if you're going up against a good warlord and player with a talent that can remove stones reliably like uriel and imotekh, but even without the stones it's only a slightly worse stormraven.

Great interview! Thanks to EG and to Forgecast for this. We need more of this. Two things. First, developers should definitely include some sort of statistics to be available. It is kinda sad we need to see a report once a month, which methodology we do not know, to get stats in a stats based game. Second, i disagree with his Tau nerf take. He was afraid to alienate portion of players who invested into Tau. What about the absolute majority of previous players who had to suffer through the broken Tau who had to play them every day? I uninstalled the game until the patch came out. Balance is balance, doesnt matter if you just released the faction. Broken state of the game hurts everyone equally (Tau would still get balanced later, but in the meantime, everyone had to suffer through), does not matter if they bought it or not, those players who came before Tau could equally leave the game for that state, so that argument does not hold.

What a grand podcast episode i really enjoyed listening to this, man im very excited and looking foward to all of the upcoming stuff the game just keeps getting better which is awsome, would love to see more devs interviews in the long run as this one was a pretty nice way of establishing more communication between the team and the playerbase, with everything said thank you guys for the podcast and cheers.

my biggest annoyance as a new player (joined last week) rn is the very restricting daily "rewards" system. if i miss the login or drafts by a minute i feel like i just wasted a minute because the clock resets after claim not at set intervalls. furthermore not playing for a day because i was occupied otherwise just makes me not want to play at all anymore because i just "wasted" a login reward and draft attempt. this feeling of pressure will likely leave once i have actual decks beyond starters and random cards but why even put that pressure on players in the first place and forcing them to push through that. change that system dear devs no need to punish people for "rewards". possible alternatives: set a fixed reset time and/or let them stack up to atleast 2. or add this stacking feature as an additional benefit for purchasing premium campaigns because i will not pay money to feel bad about missing my 200 paid daily premium points because i didnt play for a day.
